《Judah Judas Adventures》Filler Chapter: Diana's Hunting

Another beautiful day in the Kingdom of Romania, the birds are on the morning skies, the people are walking on the Kingdom streets to sell things or to just take a walk in the morning, but Diana did not have time do to those missions because she got a new job in hunting. Diana accepted the mission to catch one of the most ferocious things in the forests, an animal who could kill even a bear, and we are talking about the lynx with elephant fangs, or Lyelphan in short. This kind of animal values almost fifty gold coins, but their fur, teeth, and meat, are much more valuable because the noble's family could use this thing as an accessory to their clothes, weapons, in furniture, or on other useless things, I do not even have an idea why does a noble family need those things for the image.

I leave the house, and I hop on the carriage that is going to take me to the forest to hunt that animal who could help me gain some good money. The carriage who is helping me to arrive there is drive by one of the disciples of a good butcher, who certainly got bored by having him in the butcher shop. The guy who is driving the carriage asked me.

"So, what are you hunting?"

"Your boss didn't tell you what is my mission?" I asked that guy because he started to get curious about the fact that his boss has just sent him to deliver me to the forest without knowing the danger he will step in.

"No. He did say the mission will be easy even for a skinny man like me."

"We have to hunt a lynx, and that mission is even hard for me."

"Lynx? I heard they are the cute cats of the forest."

"Yeah... But the one we are hunting is half-lynx-half-elephant."

"Saint Joseph! We are hunting that animal!" says the guy started to sound scared.

I came closer to him, I put my hand on his shoulder, and I talk to his grey eyes to make him feel better.

"Don't worry. That animal is not entirely impossible to be caught. In fact, we can be caught to him very easily if we could kill a few wild geese and we set a trap using their bodies."

"Y-You wanted to catch a lyelphan by just using wild geese? What will make you think this will work out?"

"Let's just say this is not my first time catching a lyelphan," I said to the guy while I am going to my crossbow, to prepare the first arrow because we are approaching the forest.

"N-Name is Philip by the way." says the guy who is driving the carriage after a long time of silence.

"Name is Diana. Nice to meet you." I respond after I aimed and shot with my crossbow a deer running through the forest.

The guy stopped the carriage after he heard the sound of a dying deer. I left the carriage and started to drag that deer who is probably much fatter than I anticipated. Philip left the carriage and helped me to put that deer into the carriage. Both of us did put that deer there and we get on the carriage to continue our roads to the beast we have to hunt down to get the coins.

"Why did you kill that poor deer? Weren't supposed to hunt that lyelphan?" asked the guy named Philip looking quite nervous at me.

"Yes, but there is also a chance that we couldn't find that beast, but even a few deer could help us again some good pocket money," I say to that guy. "Also, the deer meat is much delicious than the one of a lyelphan."

"How do you know that? Have you tasted a lyelphan meat before?" asked Philip to me while I took the arrow from the deer's stomach.

"It was a long time ago, my driver. When I was forced by my parents to be in a relationship with a noble, who did like, love, or doesn't know I even existed in the first place, but I didn't like him. His father wanted to marry him because he could gain some "reputation" bullshit or something crappier than this."

"H-How did it turn out?"

"Dreadful. My little sister interferes and we were lucky we weren't sent to the guillotine." I say to Philip after I put the arrow back into the arrow's sheath.

"I-I see." says the guy Philip deciding to concentrate on the road and stop talking with me.

After a few minutes of travelling, we arrived at the place where we have to hunt that lyelphan. I get off that carriage with my crossbow and I told Philip to remain in the car because I am going to hunt some wild goose. The young man understands the order and he remained in the carriage with his horses who are eating some natural herbs of the beautiful forest. I am going to the river and the lake to start searching for the wild goose, which was pretty convenient because the river and lakes are closer to me and the carriage. But there is one problem, I have to position the trap at a few hundred or a thousand meters because I don't want to see a young man getting eaten by a lyelphan. Not this week. Not this month.

I arrived at the lake and luck has started to smile at me, and I smiled back at him because on the lake are five wild geese who are perfect to be eaten. I took the crossbow, I launched the first arrow at that geese. When the arrow was launched and hit the first wild geese, the other four geese were about to leave. I try to load the crossbow as fast as I can and launch the next arrow at the second goose, which hits it directly in the head. The remaining three geese begin to take flight, load the third arrow in speed and launch it to the next goose, which falls a few meters, back to the lake where the two dead geese are. The last two disappeared from the landscape since they could fly, crossbow air, although they can aim from long distances, those geese managed to fly so high that no "Fireball" spell can touch their orange legs.

I put the crossbow down, take off my armour, then my clothes, and go into that deep lake to gather those dead geese. Although I was almost naked, at least I have the most important thing that any women have, panties. I don't worry because I didn't cover my chest. After all, most men, as far as I know from my little sister, prefer the woman's bottom and hole. I swim to those geese and gather them using my mouth because my hands have to use them for swimming.

In a few minutes, I reach the shore and leave those dead wild geese on the grass and start putting my textile back on me. First I put on my clothes, then my armour, after which I take my crossbow on my back, take the three wild geese with my left hand around my neck and go to an area where I can place a good trap.

I walk through this dense forest for a while to find a perfect place to set the trap and I find it. Right next to an abandoned cave that had probably been inhabited by a bear, a monkey bear, or a Cicada-Normaxis. Either way, this cave is abandoned and is the perfect place to hide and target that valuable animal. I place those dead geese a few feet from the cave and enter this cave as fast as I can. I wait just like a fisherman when it comes to catching a fish. I wait for the prey and hold the gun at those poor wild goose corpses.

The prey did not arrive there after three hours of waiting, which does not make me upset because the art of catching the prey consists of waiting and be silent like you are that animal. While I was waiting, I was thinking about what I could serve for dinner on this beautiful night. I can prepare a nice lasagna with chicken meat, or even better, an omelette with Dodliogle eggs (a bird half-lion-half-eagle but who can make Dodo eggs). Yeah... Maybe both would be better than one of them. Sometimes, I wish I could send to my dear sister food in the frontline because the food there is probably worse than her cooking skill.

After another few minutes of waiting, I smelled something that made me prepare my crossbow for any moment, and that spell was the smell of lyelphan dump, which can be described as lynx dumb but combined with a human vomit and constipation dump. The lyelphan is appearing from the bushes and he is slowly going to those corpses of wild geese. After that lyelphan made another step, I launched my arrow to that lyelphan, which has successfully penetrated his head and made him falls into an eternal sleep. Right before when I was about to leave the cave, luck has smiled at me again. Another lyelphan has left the bushes and he runs towards me.

I was about to reload the crossbow as fast I can, but I realized this will never happen because a crossbow necessity time to reload, so I threw that crossbow to the lyelphan to distract him, but that didn't work. When the lyelphan came closer to me, I took the machete I had and our fight has started. That animal throws itself at me and manages to knock me to the ground, but with the help of my machete, I made it fall since that lyelphan, even if it has a hard skin, the weak points are the head and the back. I couldn't stick the machete in his head, but I managed to touch the back and stick it as hard as I can machete. The animal that rolled me, begins to lose consciousness, falls on its right side, and prepares for deep sleep. I took the machete out of his but, and I observed the metal part is filled with dump so I put the machete into the water and started to clean it. After I finished the cleaning, I took one lyelphan and I was carrying him to the carriage which is located a few meters from me.

In just thirty minutes, I put all the lyelphan and the wild geese into the carriage. Philip and I were finished our job and we were heading back to our Kingdom to take those animal's corpses to the butcher. With a deer corpse, three wild geese, and with two lyelphan, I could make so much money, that I could even buy a new house, but I decided to not do that and instead I buy new clothes for and my dear sister and some new tools for my crafting job.

This hunt was a lucky one.
