《Tyrant Named God》Four Archangels

Meanwhile, in the southern empire…

"How do our preparations look?" Asked the so-called Nyarbog Lasothtep sitting on his newly remodeled throne inside the throne room.

"Who are you speaking to, my lord?" Asked one of the servants inside the throne room.

"Who else? Only we are here right now." Nyarbog replied to the servant as he gazed down from his throne.

"But I'm just a puny servant, and I shouldn't be giving my opinions on the matter."

"I am to assume the interference was you are doing then?" Said God as he showed signs of amusement for the first time in a while.

The servant slightly chuckled underneath his red scarf.

"Only the best entertainment for my master!" He replied.

"Why betray your own kind? Is there something you gain from this?" Asked God from the mysterious servant.

The servant continued to chuckle. "Hehehe, who knows! I could be doing all this just for fun, you know!"

"I see…. so you were once betrayed by one of them… interesting…." Nyarbog replied as his gaze penetrated the servant's defenses allowing him to see his past.

The servant quickly covered his face to prevent the absolute power sitting on an enormous throne in front of him from reading his mind.

"Don't worry. I couldn't care less in the slightest. Do whatever you see fit, but do not betray me…." Said Nyarbog as he stood up from his throne.

The servant covered his face with his scarf more, but his frustration from being seen through so easily was evident in his eyes. "You ought not to do things like that! You almost gave me a heart attack!" The servant replied.

"If I recall correctly, you were one of the enslaved survivors of this empire's destruction, correct?" Nyarbog said as he stepped down from his throne, walking towards the servant.

The servant backed away because the overwhelming negative energy sent shivers through his body, and he couldn't escape it. He thought he had to face it head-on, mentally preparing himself to come face-to-face with Nyarbog.

"You do me a great honor by remembering someone as insignificant as me," claimed the servant. "Yes, everything you said is true. What of it?"

"I was testing your honesty. You may prove to be amusing in the future…."

"Oh? I'm overjoyed to hear that!" The servant replied as he bowed down in front of Nyarbog.

"So, what is your name?" Said Nyarbog. "I would look through you again to find it, but it would be simpler just to have you say it."

"Allow me to thank you for considering my feelings, my lord. I Go by the name of Mukumara."

"Mukumara, huh? Well, you are from the Southern Empire… Mukumara is quite a handful for such an insignificant name, though… let's call you Muku from now on!"

Nyarbog was excited at the thought of the new name he gave his servant. "Yes… Muku would be perfect!"

The servant was not very fond of the newly assigned nickname. "My lord, the name Muku is demeaning for someone like me. Please call me Mukumara."

Nyarbog looked down at Mukumara and told him, "Did you just question me?" As he put his boots in Infront of him.

Terrified of what might happen, Mukumara apologized. "Muku is fine! I'm sorry for questioning your judgment!"

"Well, then, Muku, how about you start licking my boots clean?"

"Yes, my lord!"

Muku began doing as instructed without hesitation. Nyarbog stared down at him as he licked his boots.

"Ugh, this guy pathetic…. I had high hopes for him too… he gives up so easily, yet he is still alive… well, no matter…."

"Master, how is that? Do you like it?" Asked Muku after licking his boots.

"It's fine. You can stop now. I've lost interest," Nyarbog said as he cast magic to create new boots.

"These boots are of no use to me anymore. Throw them in the trash or give them to one of your friends."

There was anger in Muku's eyes, something Nyarbog hoped to exploit. These comments from him were destroying any decency and self-image Muku had.

"As you wish, my lord," Muku replied. "May I stand now, please?"

Nyarbog began talking to himself as he paced around, lost in thought."Muku, Muku, Muku, what to do with you… hm…”

Muku watched as Nyarbog talked with himself for hours. By that point, his master was distracted by other matters, and it took him no time to move on from talking about him. Yet he did not leave since he did not know how Nyarbog would react if he left without permission.

"It's strange, don't you think?" Nyarbog asked as he once again shifted his eyes toward Muku.

"What's strange, my lord?" Muku asked out of surprise that his master finally realized that he was standing there.

"Hm? Were you not paying attention while I was talking?"

"But my lord, you were talking for hours. Which part of it do you mean?"

"Ah! so that is your issue! A lack of understanding!"

Muku stared at Nyarbog in confusion. As far as he knew, Nyarbog was blabbering on for hours at no real subject and mere theories. He kept talking about future strategies to himself and sometimes about how the life of humans was so insignificant. One thing was for sure, though, Muku couldn't care less about what Nyarbog was saying.

"I apologize, my lord, for my incompetence! please forgive me." Muku replied after thinking of a calm and calculated way to escape his situation with the least resistance.

"It's fine…." Nyarbog replied. He was not happy about his servant completely ignoring him, but he couldn't blame him either, for he was testing him to see if he could keep up. A test in which Muku failed.

"You must be tired… it would be best if you left now… I no longer require your services." Nyarbog said as he turned around and walked towards the right-side entrance connecting to the throne room.

Muku gave a bowing gesture and patiently waited for Nyarbog to leave the room first.

Nyarbog left the room displeased at the new servant he had attained. "He seems to have some promise, but his actions seem irrational. What do you think?"

Dark souls came out of Nyarbog's body to converse with him. These souls were ones claimed and corrupted from the thousands of innocents he claimed.

They echoed around Nyarbog, screaming in torment, yet it seemed to soothe the great devil.

"It won't take long until the tower is finished… Soon I will be able to draw even more power from my host body…." Nyarbog said as he continued to walk up the stairs.

From the shadows, the demon Asmodeus appeared. He had used an invisibility spell to hide. Although Nyarbog could sense and see through any tier of invisibility, he did not care about those far inferior to him, completely ignoring Asmodeus as he walked by.

"Cocky bastard." Asmodeus thought to himself. "But although he is so powerful, what did he mean by host body? Could this not be his true potential?"

Asmodeus thought to himself for a while and came to an even more despairful answer. "If all the power he is wielding now is only the start, then how powerful is this monster?"

"No, I must stay calm. Surely there must be a way to beat this demon…. But if I want any more information, I have to check the demon archives…."

Ulgran, the Demon General of Lust, had made an appearance in the throne room, with her presence and spiritual pressure being known all around the castle.

"I suppose I should go greet her…." Thought Asmodeus as he left for the throne room.

Asmodeus walked into the throne room and immediately saw that Ulgran was sitting on Nyarbog's throne.

"What are you doing!?" Asked Asmodeus as he rushed to the throne. "Don't you know that Nyarbog will kill you if he saw this?"

"Hm? and what of it? Who is gonna tell him? You?" Asked Ulgran as she looked up at the demon elf standing right next to her.

"No, my lady, but please, stop this nonsense at once."

"Ugh, fine, ill get off this damn chair," Ulgran replied.

She stood up from the chair and looked at Asmodeus.

"I haven't seen you around here… Are you a new recruit?"

"No, milady, I am a servant of the demon queen sent here on her orders."

"The Demon Queen, you say? That certainly piques my curiosity."

"It does?"

"Why, certainly, she is my sister after all."

Asmodeus looked at Ulgran's body and said, "Well, I can see a resemblance now… I didn't think of that before."

"Hehe! Well, between us, who do you think is hotter? Me or my stupid sister?"

"Surely you jest!"

"I most certainly do not! Come on!"

"It is my duty to side with my queen no matter what."

"Well, that is an answer on its own! Good for you, you know how to talk! Strange trait for a demon!"

"Forgive me for my foolish question, but what exactly is your purpose here? Were you not sent to eradicate our northern allies?"

"I did do that…." Replied Ulgran after her face turned pale.

"You did? How is that possible? You were not gone for long." Asmodeus asked.

Ulgran's hands were trembling in fear. Something Asmodeus hadn't seen ever in his life. "A demon being scared? what happened?" Asmodeus thought to himself before being interrupted by a stranger.

"Hey, hey!" said the voice, quickly drawing Ulgran's and Asmodeus's focus away from their conversation.

Asmodeus and Ulgran turned around to see who was talking to them so openly, only to see a mysterious person with his face covered with a scarf.

"Who are you?" Asked Ulgran as her hands transformed into claws to prepare for a fight.

"Oh wow! An actual demon general! I always wanted to see what you guys looked like!" said the boy in the scarf.

Asmodeus looked at Ulgran and noticed she was very jumpy for someone rumored to be a great demon. Ulgran was still in her combat form and did not put away her claws. He then turns to Ulgran and whispers in her ear. "Perhaps we should hear him out."

"I mean no harm if that's what concerns you!" Replied the boy as he stepped towards them to greet them.

"I am Mukumura, a human servant that works directly under the GLORIOUS Nyarbog! Our master truly rules supreme!"

"Mukumura, huh?" Replied Ulgran. "Quite a mouthful for a puny human."

Asmodeus noticed that Ulgran had finally dropped her guard after hearing that the scarfed individual was a human. "Perhaps she underestimates those who are human?" he thought to himself. "I should probably not say anything unless I really have to."

Mukumura looked at Ulgran because of her comment and said, "Ah! Nyarbog said the same thing about my name! My name is indeed Mukumura, but since our GLORIOUS leader does not like my long name, he shortened it to Muku." ☹

Suddenly Ulgran burst out laughing. "HE SAID THAT?! AHAHAHAGAH! HE TRULY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE! AND TO THINK I WAS ON GUARD BY SOMEONE LIKE YOU!"

Asmodeus remained silent, thinking to himself, "We shouldn't be underestimating this human. After all, he is Nyarbog's direct servant… Surely there must be more than what meets the eye."

"And who might you be?" Asked Muku.

"I suppose since you are a servant to our great leader, we should introduce ourselves." Replied Ulgran. “I am Ulgran, The demon general of Lust.”

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance!" Replied Muku turning towards Asmodeus to ask him his name.

"I am Asmodeus, but please pay me no heed. I have no honorary ranking."

"I see, so you are just an insignificant worm, ey?" replied Muku as he chuckled. "hehehe!"

Asmodeus looked at him but tried his best not to reveal any emotions. "What is your end game, human? What is the purpose of provoking me." he thought to himself.

"OOO, you're a quiet type, huh? Quite a demon. I Like it, actually!" Said Muku.

"What is YOUR purpose here? Shouldn't you be serving your master right now?" Ulgran asked.

"I only wish I could serve him at this time, but he is busy with other matters! Honestly, he should just let us servants take care of everything… OTHERWISE, what type of servants would we be!" Muku said as he continued with his banter. "I have been a great use to our master thus far! But so far, I don't see anyone holding up to his expectations! What a shame, isn't it? But I can't blame most of you demons, you take too much pride in your cruelty, but you don't even know what true terror looks like! HEHEHE!"

"Terror, huh?" Ulgran replied.

"What would you know about that?" Said Asmodeus, annoyed by Mukumura's last remark. "You speak as if you have seen it."

"I have…" Replied Mukumura. "Unfortunately for you, you won't really understand unless you have been a first-hand victim of it.."

"Oh yeah? Try me!" Asmodeus replied, challenging Mukumura.

"I cannot show you true terror, but I can tell you where to find it if you truly are brave enough."

Mukumura sneered and continued. "Our great, glorious, supreme leader is the definition of terror itself. I assume you have not met him?"

Ulgran began leaving after Mukumuras comments.

Asmodeus turned to call Ulgran back.

"Ulgran! Where are you going?"

Ulgran looked back and, with a worried tone, replied. "There is nothing more to be said. What Mukumura said is true."

Asmodeus tried to make sense of what he was being told. "Demons scared of their leader? what sort of weak demons are they?" He thought to himself.

"I assume that you are thinking that we must be weak demons for being so scared of our leader," Mukumura said.

"What the? How did you know that, you fiend?"

"Well, it's obvious what you were thinking, and as for Ulgran, I can't blame her. She did work directly under our leader, so she knows the horror of what our master can do."

"The horror?" Replied Asmodeus.

"Exactly how powerful is their so-called leader? Surely he couldn't be as strong as our demon queen." Asmodeus thought to himself.

"Have you seen the battle report filed under Octavian Conquest?"

"No, I haven't."

"Well, not surprised you haven't. This information is for higher-ups, after all."

"If that's the case, then how do you know of it?"

Mukumura looks to see whether or not Ulgran has left them. Upon seeing that it was only Asmodeus left in the room, he pulls out a mystical orb and shows it to Asmodeus.

"What the! How do you have this relic?" Asmodeus said as he jumped away in fear.

"Don't be scared. This orb is one of a kind."

"What exactly is your meaning?"

"This orb is a corrupt orb of power. Which means demons and such can use them, so it will not harm you."

"A corrupt orb? What blasphemy is this?"

"Are you sure you should be talking this way? You are a demon, are you not? Your kind should be excited at such breakthroughs!"

Mukumura chuckled again. "HEHEHE!"

Asmodeus looked at the orb. The orb was purple, and its magical power felt weak overall.

"Although orbs of power are meant to hold tremendous strength, to corrupt an orb, you essentially have to destroy much of its holy magic inside until it submits to your will."

"Submits to our will?"

"Yes, exactly so. The orbs, much like relic items, have their own thought, so in order to corrupt it, you must torture it until its mind breaks."

"Where did you get this information?"

Mukumura looked at Asmodeus and sneered. "Our glorious ruler told me! Anyhow, I really should get going as well!"

"Wait a moment!" Asmodeus called out for Mukumura just before he was about to leave.

"Yes, what now?"

"What you said, it is not even possible! How can someone like you even torture the spirit of a weapon!"

"Nobody said I had to torture it. You could break its mind in other ways. But I really should get going… I have to take care of our master tomorrow."

"Very well then," Asmodeus said, feeling somewhat defeated at the difference between him and some low-class human.

Asmodeus watched Mukumura leave through the front entrance thinking by himself in the corner.

"Where did this human even come from, and why does he hold such high favor with Nyarbog… I came here as a part of an intelligence gathering unit, but now even I'm confused."

"Well, no matter, I have work to be done."

Asmodeus began walking towards the throne room entrance to leave, only to feel a shiver run up his spine…

Frightened at the overwhelming evil energy surrounding him, Asmodeus looked around the room but saw nothing.

"Do not be afraid…." Said the voice.

A hand touched Asmodeus's shoulder. Asmodeus jumped in panic as he turned around to see who was there.

"Asmodeus, a lieutenant of Demon Queen Alicia. I assume you've come here to measure my power?"

"No, no. Nothing of the sort! We would not dare to measure the power of someone such as you."

"No need to be sly, but I suppose I can't really get any information out of you… You are a spy, after all."

Asmodeus chuckled.

"Do you find what I said amusing?" Nyarbog asked.

"Not at all."

"You really are an amusing specimen. You know that?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"You are a demon elf, are you not?"

Asmodeus thought to himself, "How the hell does he even know that?"

"Ah, so my assumption was correct?"

"But I haven't said anything!"

"You don't need to. It's written all over your face, bahaha!"

"Damn this guy," Asmodeus thought, trying to regain composure.

"Say… What do you think about my new assistant?"

“Assistant?” Asmodeus asked. “You mean Mukumura?”

"Yes, him, you've talked with him already. What do you think about him?"

"Strange fellow… Where did he come from exactly?"

"He was a survivor of the remaining humans we took as prisoners. He, however, unlike those before him, survived all the torture AND is willing to betray his own kind for power."

"Is that so?" Asmodeus looked down, feeling the weight of his own guilt for betraying his own race, just like Mukumura.

"Well, I think you will grow to like him. He certainly is an interesting guy. You two share a lot in common too. Bahahaha!"

"Ha-ha… Not really funny…." Asmodeus said with a serious expression.

"Did you just tell me my joke is not funny? You forget your place, worm."

The room goes silent, and with fear building up inside Asmodeus over the course of the conversation, he suddenly snaps.

"It's not like I wanted to betray the elves! I had no other choice! They were threatening to take everything from me! You surely must know that!"

"I know all too well. Yet you still betrayed them. You could die with the rest of them, but here you are, serving us demons to eradicate your own further."

"I'll have you know that Queen Alicia would never assign me such a task over my hundreds of years of servitude. She has not once asked me to betray my own."

"She hasn't, has she? Well, that really is a problem. We can't have a weak queen running around now, can we? What's next? She's going to grant humans access to the demon archives?"

Shocked at what he just heard, Mukumara, without uttering a word, thought to himself. "How did he figure us out? Shit! I must warn our queen to stop before we are caught."

"Is there something wrong with what I said?"

"No. Her majesty would never grant puny humans access to the archives. Of that, I'm sure of."

"I would hope not. If that were the case, I would have to turn my attention to the demon realm instead."

"This bastard is toying with me! He knows full well that we were planning to betray him, and with only a single conversation, he was able to deter our resistance." Asmodeus thought.

"No… I can see from your face that something is up here…. You're taking a long time in between conversations. Are you mentally preparing yourself? It's not like I'm asking tough questions."

"It's fine. You are our creator, after all."

"Creator, you say? No… you are mistaken. I did not create your demons."

"You didn't? But everyone claims that you are the reason behind our existence."

"Oh, you believe that? Then you have yet to go to the demon archives. How strange for a lieutenant of Alicia to be so ignorant!"

"Ignorant? If you did not create the demons, then who did?"

"I suppose I could show you the truth…. But if it's the truth you seek, then a price must be paid."

"What price?" Asmodeus asked curiously as to what the truth he didn't know entailed.

"I don't ask for much, only your eternal obedience."

"What?!"

"Well, I could just cast magic on you to force your will, but it's better this way.

"This deal…. It's out of the question."

"Oh really? And here I thought you would be interested in what your beloved Alicia, this Alicia that is hiding from you."

"I can always ask her for the truth."

"Oh really? And how will you know what she tells you is the truth?"

"Queen Alicia would not lie to my face."

"Yet she hid such crucial detail from you. What a shame."

Nyarbog Continued. "Yes… truly a shame. I had high hopes for you, Asmodeus. You really let me down just now… To the point that I lost interest."

Nyarbog Continued yet AGAIN!? "I suppose I should go talk to this Alicia of yours you are so fond of. Hell seems to have gotten weak…. It's time to put in someone who knows what they are doing in charge."

The building begins to shake suddenly. The walls began to tremble, almost as if it was being pulverized by an incredibly strong force pushing against them.

"What is this?! Are we under attack!?"

Leaving Asmodeus behind in the throne room. Nyarbog quickly rushed outside to see what was going on.

(This is finally the point where the story becomes from the POV of Nyarbog)

I flew outside as quickly as I could.

It was none other than the celestial lance striking down at the tower itself from the heavens.

There was no time to wait here. If the tower is destroyed, so are my plans to connect with my main body. I must stop this extreme magical power at once.

I quickly looked through my available spells, but I needed something to deal with divine energy as strong as this. It would take the most elite priests and multiple archangels to summon such a powerful force.

Damn it, I thought. If I get in the way now, my body as it is now will take incredible damage. The tower can be saved, but if I'm to die in the process, then there is no point.

Anger began building up within me—anger for being so neglectful of my surroundings. For someone classified as a God, I was both incompetent and weak.

I watched the holy ray from outside as it destroyed multiple floors coming even lower and lower. Demons scattered outside, fleeing for their lives along with humans who were enslaved to work on the tower.

Asmodeus had come outside as well. There was something peculiar about this incident to me. It was as if Asmodeus knew this would happen. Was there a flaw in my rule? Did my own forces plan this all along? No, it can't be. This power belongs to archangels.

Another three floors collapsed. I watched as even more demons flooded outside.

So this is it, huh? There is no other choice left. I must abandon this project for now and focus my efforts elsewhere.

But how did they even know what I was trying to do… Is it possible that the Archangels are allied with Grismala? No, that can't be either. Those arrogant pricks are too full of themselves to ally with humans… But if that's the case, then what!

It doesn't matter…. no… My efforts here are wasted. I was joking about taking my forces straight to hell, but Alicia has proven to be utterly useless and might even be sabotaging me at this very moment… Yes, she must be replaced!

I looked at my forces in total chaos as they ran and screamed, being burnt to death by the holy ray.

Then again, I guess I could personally go to hell and deal with Alicia. I don't have time to transport all my forces there, and with the situation now… Yeah, that's not happening.

I decided to cast detection magic to locate the source of the power the holy ray was coming from.

Just as I thought, they are right on the border of the Entangina Empire facing the Southern Empire.

A clever ploy, something either Lucious or Grismala could come up with. By getting this close, they can increase the power of the spell by reducing its distance. But if they think they can get away with this without a scratch, then they are wrong….

A sinister energy began gathering around me, building up rapidly. Just like the holy ray, the energy gathering was similar in style but with demonic power behind it.

Ahgahahaha! Those fools! Fine! Two can play this game!

I started casting a magic spell, one of the ultimate tier 20 spells. The archangel beam was to be estimated at around level 14.

I make this pact to Cthulu! Hear me and send me your aid! Isul narub bargandlo rachtho Hawstur!

Cthulu! I require your brilliant strategical forces! OBEY!

With every single Chant, the sky grew darker and darker.

Black rain began pouring from the sky. The sky was covered with black clouds as far as the eye could see, With the holy beam being the exception piercing through the clouds.

Army of Darkness! I command you! Show these demons the true terror of the true gods!"

That should cover the summoning ritual. But the forces I summoned won't last long. I should personally go and lead the attack against Grismala's forces while they are out in the open.

Enhanced Flight!

This is a high-tier magic spell that will allow me to fly faster than an average flight spell. I would use some sort of teleportation magic to get there faster, but there might be more to Grismala's plans than meets the eye.

I began flying toward the source of the holy magic. Due to its strength, it was not hard to track either.

The holy ray is coming from that mountain over there! I yelled to make sure all of the Cthulu minions knew where to attack.

I flew even closer to the mountains to observe the fight.

"Fire!" yelled one of the bishops leading a mage battalion.

I quickly came to a halt to see what had happened, only to be struck down from the sky by multiple high-tier magic spells.

By the time I had come to my senses after being struck down by some high-level magic, I quickly noticed that my command spell over the Cthulhic monstrosities I summoned was no longer active.

Enormous flashes of light came from the distance.

The Archangel Flames… That is the only thing powerful enough to kill my summons…

But how did that witch Grismala manage to get an Archangel here?

“I see you know the magic you gifted us quite well.”

I turned around to see who was foolish enough to challenge me.

“If it isn’t my beloved Lucious!” I told him in a mocking voice.

“No need to be snide! I have come here to finish you off for good!”

“Finish me off?” I said, trying to keep myself from laughing. “You and what army? Is this a joke?”

“Do not mock me! I have been blind for far too long to your lies! I see the truth now!”

“What truth is it, you see, puny human?” I asked.

“You…. and your power…. It does nothing but corrupt! We asked for this magic, but we never understood the price we had to pay!”

“The price you had to pay? But I asked for nothing In return.”

“Do you claim that the life of my Daughter was NOTHING TO YOU?!”

It was noticeable that my words had finally cut deep into Lucious. But what daughter is it that he speaks of? Could he somehow manage to have a child? No, that shouldn’t be possible… The curse I put on him is still active. This certainly is something I must look into, but for now, I’ll entertain this farce.

“Regardless, what is it that you seek to accomplish here? Surely you don’t think you and your puny wizards can stop me.”

Lucious raised his scepter into the sky and cast divine magic. Not effective against me, but it would be a great signal for help.

“What is it you think you’re doing?” I asked, uneasy at the thought of them having access to archangel flames.

“Nyarbog, your time on this earth is OVER!”

Lucious jumped back immediately after he said that and from the sky came down four archangels hitting the ground around me as if they were meteors.

“We are the Guardians of Heaven! The height of existence! You have disrupted the order of this world and now must be made to repent!”

I tried to size up each of my opponents. Archangels were not to be underestimated, and as my situation was, without my host body, I could have fought at most two of them. Fighting all four at once would mean certain death, or at least, destruction of this vessel.

I suppose there is no better time than use that…..

The angels backed away from me before I even activated the spell as if it was intuition. Well, no matter.

Dark Chant Activate.

Narugh Balour Gongothta!

Before I could go on to the second verse of the spell, One of the four archangels struck me with its lance piercing through my body.

Gorgo Ceisu Requiem Ave Ayer Arnanta Makkeys!

This Chant was supposed to take roughly one minute to cast. However, I must shorten it, thus reducing its effectiveness.

The moment I finished Chanting the spell, evil magical powers began gathering up within me.

The second archangel took out its sword and quickly charged toward me.

Flame of hell!

Flames of hell was an incredibly strong attacking spell, but if someone's magic defenses were strong enough, it could also be applied as armor, something I did.

The sword, upon impact with the black flames, quickly caught on fire spreading all over the sword. Seeing the destructive nature of the flames, the archangel released the sword.

The third archangel used a holy bow to launch projectiles at me. Although the Flames of Hell were effective against swords, they were not as effective against pure magic attacks or projectiles.

Body of Undeath! Shield of Chaos!

Body of undeath was a spell that acted as a illusion magic. Nearby corpses would appear as the person the magic specified, in this case, myself. It was only a means to buy time.

Shield of Chaos was an item creation magic, which created four floating shields around my body that would take the impact from the lance attacks.

The archangel who had just lost his sword, began casting magic spells at me. Although they were not high-tier magic spells, I still had to avoid those since the caster level still affected the spell itself by buffing it.

The fourth archangel took out an enormous hammer and struck the ground. I dodged just in time and counterattacked him with “PURE DARK!”

Pure dark is one of the best spells against angels of any kind. The nature of this spell is that it acts as a direct opposite of an enemy. Angels are Light creatures, so darkness was its best anti-measure.

This wouldn’t kill the archangel outright if he was strong, but it would be enough to wound him severely. However, my magical reserves were almost halfway run out.

This isn’t good… I have to eliminate at least one of these bastards!

I charged toward the third archangel, but the first archangel was still on my tail. In order to keep the others busy, I cast a high-tier summoning spell.

Summon Doom Guard!

Summon Doom Guard summons a demon that has a mighty axe weapon which has a 70% chance to stun its victims for 4-5 seconds if high tier and 10-20seconds if level 40-70. Under level 40, most would die from the impact.

Luckily the doomguard Crit on the archangel who was following me buying enough time to attack the fourth archangel.

Flames of Hell, Consume Magic!

The black flames upon my command began spreading all over the fourth archangel's body. The flames engulfed his entire body ripping his armor to shreds.

“Izikiel!” Cried out the first archangel as he charged toward me with his lance.

I immediately jumped off of Izikiel’s body to dodge the lance attack coming at me.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA!” I laughed at the surprising weakness of the archangels. “This is the best you can do!”

“Don’t you dare mock us!” Said the magic caster archangel as she launched a barrage of holy light at me.

“Keep him distracted, Gregaren,” Said the archangel with the lance.

“You don’t have to tell me twice, Mikael.”

Mikael began healing Izikiel with his holy magic while Gregaren and the sword archangel continued their barrage of attacks on me.

“Stay with me!” Cried out, Mikael.

“Hahhahaha! This is so much fun! I was scared for a moment!”

“Die, you bastard!” yelled the sword archangel as she charged at me even faster.

“Tsutsumi! Stay in formation!” Yelled Gregaren.

“Tsutsumi, huh? I have never heard of you guys before. Are you the new recruits?”

I was trying to get underneath their skin, and it was working like a charm. I thought to myself, bah! This is so easy. They might as well have sent children to fight me.

The black flames continued to burn through Izikiel’s body, and the magical healing received from Mikael was not enough to stop it.

“Flames of hell! I command you! Consume Izikiel at any cost!”

The black flames burned even darker than before, tearing apart the archangel at a rapid pace. The archangel screaming in agony could do nothing to stop it, and the healing received from his friend only served to extend his suffering.

Summon Doomguard!

Doom guards were elite demons, and summoning them required a high level of magic. But of course, you are not limited to creating only one at a time. Since the cooldown came off and the current doom guard was still alive, a secondary doomguard was spawned.

Due to a specific magical enhancement for doom guards (Doom link), being close in proximity to each other raises their stats.

“This is bad! Mikael, we can't hold them!

Izikiels screams began to fade as he ran out of magic to sustain his body.

“No more, brother. I shall release you from this torment.” Said, Mikael.

He took his lance and pierced through Izikiel, killing him instantly.

“Hahaha! You would kill your own comrade!”

“Why…. Why did this go so wrong?! Grismala told us you were just a demon!”

“She told you that, huh? Maybe she knew you wouldn’t fight me otherwise.”

“What are you trying to say!” Replied Mikael after commanding his friends to stand down.

I stopped my doom guards as well, seeing that now they had decided to communicate.

“Well, you archangels are cowards! It's in your nature to take fights you are sure to win!”

“We are the embodiment of Justice! Do not dare call us cowards!” Yelled Tsutsumi.

“Wait!” Said, Mikael. “This does not make any sense! How is it that you were able to fight off all four of us?”

“Oh! I think you already caught on, though. Why don’t you explain it to us!”

“Was it the Dark Chant?” Asked Mikael.

“Ding ding ding!” I said excitedly to explain the difference between our powers finally.

“Dark Chant is a magical spell that immobilizes almost all movement of holy entities. I commend you for your strength to fight, But you couldn’t even notice that most of your attacks were weakened. In truth, the only one able to put up a fight so far was your Izikel and Gregaren.”

“So that’s why you went after Izikiel first?”

“Correct again! You were out of formation, and I took out your ranged attacker.”

“I see, and who are you, worthy adversary?”

“Oh? introductions?”

“Don’t be coy.”

I looked around the battlefield to see if there was some trap for me before I continued.

“I am Nyarbog Lasothtep”

The Archangel finally began to tremble in fear upon hearing my name.

“Commander!” Yelled Gregaren and Tsutsumi as they rushed towards Mikael.

“So you finally understand now?”

Mikael averting his eyes from me, began to talk.

“Gregaren, Tsutsumi, you have no idea the danger we are facing right now. We must leave immediately.”

“A fair assessment, but what makes you think I would let you leave now?”

A holy light emerged from the heavens, creating a blockade I could not cross.

“Hurry! We haven’t much time!” Said, Mikael.

I destroyed the magical barrier with my magic, but it bought them enough time to escape.

A battle between Heaven and Hell. I said to myself.

Grismala and the others watched us from far away, our fight using reconnaissance magic.

I looked directly at the organ used to transmit visuals magically to Grismala, then aimed my hand toward the organ and crushed it.

Pesky buggers trying to find a weakness. But Grismala is now out of surprise cards…

My black flames had returned to me once again, engulfing my body in case any surprise attacks were to come.

Doom Guards! Return to the depths of hell where you belong!

Upon my command, the doom guards burned away, returning them to nothingness.

Fly!

I Flew up into the sky and looked down at the battlefield.

Tsk tsk tsk. This could be better. I was only able to kill one with my powers. The tower I was building is also no longer an option. I must find some way to link with my host body as soon as possible.

But For now, you win, Grismala. I have lost.

I turned away from the battlefield and flew away back to what remained of my throne room.

All my décor! All my hard work designing this place. All gone! Someone had to pay….

Wait! What's this? My powers were strengthened tenfold just now! I can feel even more chaotic energies building up within me!

It would appear my host body has gotten slightly closer to us… Perfect timing.

Now that I have just gained more power, I should take it for a test run.

Summon Doom Guard 10.

10 Doom guards were immediately summoned right in front of me. They were much stronger than they were due to caster level as well.

Now, this is power…. Dismissed!

The doom guards disappeared upon my command.

Now for the moment of truth. Summon Demon Lord.
