《Blind Hope》William's Hope

~~~Being from William's point of view after the battle in "Fighting Hope" 2~~~
William stood on trembling legs, pain rendered his mind blank. Blood poured from gashes on his head, on his midriff and his legs. There was hardly a spot on William that didn't display some evidence of torture and pain, and he was still in wolf form. Three quiet words from his opponent echoed in his ears as he dropped to his knees.
"Are you okay?" William wanted to answer his Queen's question, but it was difficult to form words, so he focused on the two that could save his life as he shifted back into his human form - worse, if possible, than the wolf.
"I... yield." Rolling over onto his back, William barely contained his screams. He couldn't feel his right arm, and as he moved his left hand slowly to his shoulder, someone stopped him.
"Don't." William recognized Hector's voice and listened to him, the ringing in his ears slightly subsiding. A pain filled fog blurred his vision as William let Hector and another guard ease him onto a stretcher. Slowly but surely noise could once again be heard in the silent arena. The last thing William heard before blacking out completely was a terrifying question:
"Does anyone else want to... challenge her?"
William awoke to the smell of ammonia and blood. Try as hard as the hospital might to cover the copper scent from the werewolves, it still lingered in the air, especially for William since most of the smell was his own blood.
His eyes blinked open, staring emptily at what he assumed was a florescent heaven. The room was white, he was wearing white, the bandages were white- Wait, did you really need bandages in heaven?
"Oh, good! You're awake! We've met before, but I figure you don't remember because of the sedative. I love sedative! Anyway, I'm Jeffery, Doctor Jeffery." William stared at the man before him, confused. He was tall for a human. Even had an impressive beard, for a human. But mainly, William was concerned that he was a human.
"We've... met before?"
"So, you don't remember. I'm hurt. Positively wounded." Jeffery placed his hand over his heart and sighed, tears filling his eyes. "I even dared to love..."
"Excuse me!?"
"...your jacket. Now, Sir William, I have prepared a video on what happened to your arm." Jeffery sat beside a now bewildered William and held out his phone for the both of them to see. Willian watched in horror as an arm was ripped not just from the socket, but from the shoulder.
"Why would you show me that!?"
"So you can know how amazing I am." Jeffery pointed at William's shoulder, and with a proud smirk, brushed his nose. "I'm talented." William tried to move his arm, but pain shot through him and a howl nearly escaped. "Careful there, Will. Can I call you Will?"
"No."
"Anyway, Will, you're arm will be fine with time, lots of time. Almost as much time as the amount of sedative I used. However, you'll probably be dead before it's completely back to normal. That's the unfortunate thing about time."
"Are you saying I'll never be able to use my arm!?"
Jeffery started, then laughed, slapping William's knee. "No, no, of course not!" He controlled himself and became straight faced. "I'm saying that your arm will never be the same again and mobility will be limited." William shook his head.
"I can't guard the Queen if I'm permeantly injured!"
"On the bright side, I don't think she really needs a guard."
If William could have killed Jeffery, he would have. But Dorian had him under tight protection, even cutting a single hair could cause a were to lose his life. William barely controlled his growl and settled back into the covers, closing his eyes. Jeffery inspected the wound before moving away to wash his hands.
A sweet, gentle voice interrupted William's brooding. "Dory," Hope whispered, "is William here, too?"
"Yes." William smirked at the way Dorian spoke to Hope, gentle as a kitten. However, Dorian's response caused William to frown. "He's in recovery, so let's not bother him." He would have liked to have seen his Queen, to assure her he was alright. Opening his eyes to inform Jeffery of this, William looked over to where he had last seen him. All that greeted William's eyes, however, was the white doctor's coat leaving the room, his voice filtering in through the door as it closed.
"Ah, Majesty. It's been such a long time."
With a click, William was left alone in his hospital room.
