《Stars Align》Final Update

So, for those of you in my discord this won't come as a surprise, but I am no longer writing Stars Align, at least, not for the foreseeable future.
The reality is that the Constellation System isn't working out as I'd like it to, primarily (I believe) because it was simply too ambitious. The idea behind the system was that each chain of nodes would create a new power. so nodes 1 & 2 would create a combined power, and nodes 1 - 3, and nodes 2 & 3, and so on. The problem entered in when there were more than three or four nodes filled. By the fifth node or so, I started running out of powers to create, especially when I had weird combinations. This started to lead to powers that were very samey (as in, power 2 is the same as power 1 but with some minor alterations) which led to lists of powers that weren't very fun to read as mostly it was just regurgitating the same words over and over with minor variances.
So, for the moment, I am setting Stars Align aside and will not be focusing my efforts on it.
Now I should be clear, this doesn't mean Stars Align is dead, I like the characters I've created, I like the world building I did for it, and I desperately loved the system I designed for it. However, I am going to have to re-work the system, and that's disheartening, it's also going to change how things work in the story, and I'm afraid I just don't have the energy for that right now. So, for the moment, Stars Align is going to go back in the box of "stories I sometimes work on".
Will something else take SA's place? Maybe, I'm not sure. I have a few of my stories that I like enough to regularly come back to them, but I really want to be sure if I post another story, because it feels bad to stop posting an ongoing story, especially one that people got into.
Anyway, I'm really sorry for the disappointment everyone.
