After fully syncing with the character, Ronnie returned to the game around five o'clock in the morning, wearing only lightweight short underwear. He opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was the translucent darkness, he got up, unbuttoned the mosquito net of the inner tent, then the zipper on the green rain awning so that fresh air and the first rays of dawn would pass into the tent, turned off the protective field and climbed back and sat in the lotus position, put his hands on his knees and examined his dirty and smelly uniform lying in the corner. He lowered his head and examined with great attention the already old scar left after the blow of the scythe’s blade. Based on the information in the HUD, the character's body has fully recovered. All thanks to the resuscitating syringe. Without this potion, he would have to meditate for another three to four days.
Ronnie reached for his jacket and put it on. He found a broken rifle under his pants. It broke his heart to look at what had become of it. He put Barret’s remains in the backpack so that his eyes wouldn't get callused, threw the bag outside, and squatted after it. According to the AI, weather anomalies are not expected in this part of the Nepril desert today. Outside, the rising white desert sun was lifting against the blue sky. Cirrus clouds floated like turtles at an altitude of 12 kilometers above the ground, very small and transparent. Moreover, the barely noticeable moon and a few stars evaporated like mirages on a hot day.

On the opening dial on the outer awning, Ronnie typed in a four-digit password. The tent assembled itself and wrapped itself in a mobile bag, which was attached to the bottom of the backpack. Ronnie rubbed his eyes without realizing it, although he did not want to sleep. He pulled out a black case with a semi-disassembled Mosin-Nagant rifle from an army bag and laid out the parts on a sheet on the sand. Then he put on the glasses and a kufiya, so as to not become the happy owner of a one percent chance of getting sunstroke, and got down to business.
Ronnie started with assembling the bolt and attached the guide rode to it. Next came the bolt head, which came right over the firing pin. Ronnie returned the assembled bolt to the side, then he picked the trigger guard and magazine house up, he put it in place and started to put the barrel and receiver on the top of the main body, next he put the handguard on the top of the barrel, and fixed it in place with the help of two clamps. Next, he swiftly returned the cleaning rod to its place and proceeded to fix the trigger guard and magazine house with a screw, next came the longest screw that goes on the top. After that Ronnie squeezed the follower and put it into the magazine house, he closed and latched it with a satisfying click. And at last, the bolt was returned to its home, Ronni worked it a few times to make sure that the mechanism has no issues, finally he fixed the PU scope on the top, Ronni laid the rifle down with a satisfied smile.
Ronnie reached his hands into the backpack and took out a few magazines with 7.62 x 54 mm cartridges, he put some into his tactical vest’s pockets, and the one remaining in his hand he inserted into the receiver, drowned the cartridges, and threw the clip away, returned the bolt back, attached the weapon belt and hung the rifle on his back, finally, he put on his backpack, which seemed to him to weigh a ton.

Ronnie went down the cliff to the boss's body. His wounded and mutilated carcass, reeking of stench and feces, was resting between the destroyed boulders and clumps. His arms were spread out as if he was about to rise and hug the first person he met. The legs were broken in several places. There were grenade fragments under the skin. Its face was in a mess. The scene was not for the faint of heart. The sniper examined the pockets on the boss’s raged cloths and the body for the presence of any loot. There wasn’t much, just a single amulet with a strange inscription in an unknown language, engraved on the outer shell of the object, consisting of semicircular metal rods. AI named the item: FuruGovest, based on the fact that some semi-letters, semi-hieroglyphs resembled this word. Information and properties were not available. Ronnie turned the loot in his hands as if it was successful plunder of a strong man’s house. The amulet was old, dull, and covered with gunpowder. In its central part, there was a dark yellow gemstone with reddening at the north and south poles. In the middle was an engraving depicting a humanoid figure. The diamond on top resembled ahead. The two lines, bending near the head, and then connecting with each other at the bottom, looked very much like a body or a long hoodie with a collar spread out in all directions. Shoulders with arms were one line with sharp angles on both sides. All of the above looked like the work of a primitive master. Well, Ronnie thought, we have what we have. He hung the object around his neck and hid it under his clothes, held his breath, and inserted a scanning chip into the boss's heart, collecting DNA and reading the location of internal organs, the composition of tissue, blood, and many things that Ronnie chose not to study.
"AI."
"At your service."
"Send all the information you received to the bestiary."
"It shall be done."
A loading bar appeared on the HUD. He hid the interface and walked a few meters and performed the same rite with one little henchman. The capsules were running out, enough for two more new monsters. Ahead was a lifeless desert, through which the wind carried sand from east to west. The rocks shimmered from a dark blue shade at the foot to red at the top. A dense white fog appeared in the valley. There was no end in sight. Ronnie spent fifteen minutes looking at the landscape, and then the thought flashed through his head that it was time to scan the area before the mild coolness will be replaced by unbearable heat. He took a scanner out of his backpack, stuck it in the sand, pressed the ON/OFF button. A hologram of a clock appeared above the metal device, and another loading strip appeared in the HUD. Up to the horizon, the outlines of the surface blinked blue, accompanied by a long beep, then the central sensor lit up green, which meant that there was no one within the scanned area. After an hour, the routine ended, and a new part of the map opened for all players.
A new boss has been added to the bestiary. Reward: 47.888 CP.
A new part of the desert has been added to the map. Reward: 6.555 CP.
Total number of CP: 3.501.961
There was no point in going further and exploring the area, Ronnie reasoned. The main weapon was broken, he will have to return to the nearest checkpoint, order transport and go to his workshop in the capital. Three game days (equal to 3 real days) will be lost. It is interesting what the leaders of the rating are doing now.

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 187The Vampire's Never-ending Curiosity
“Being the strongest is often pretty convenient and cool. Sure. But what good does this power do for me if the disadvantages it brings prevents me from satisfying my curiosity!?” This is a slow paced story of the daily (or nightly?) life of a vampire, whose starting hand in life is “no home, no name, random knowledge, overpowered strength and seemingly endless curiosity”, in a world that is often not friendly and safe even to a member of a rare and overpowered race.

8 167Backstabber
At fifteen, Lena Sione has already been through hell and back. The last thing she expects after a sudden move is to meet someone with a similar story, but that is exactly what happens. At first, Jason Vetra seems like the ultimate cliché: the hot, brooding jock from a rich family. However, she soon learns there's more to him, that his past is even bloodier than hers. The trouble starts even before their friendship does: intense jealousy, a hidden serial killer and the revival of a life-long nightmare. They ask themselves if things could get any worse, and not surprisingly, they can.
