《Vegas Sushi》10. FUGU?

Located at the beginning of the strop about a block way from the Mandalay Bay, the Pearl was not something to be visited but something that needs to be experienced.
Sato Mitsubishi was man who loved the ocean. So if he could not bring Las Vegas to the ocean he would bring the ocean to Las Vegas. Mitsubishi's designers constructed a 90 acre man made ocean complete with small lagoons, waterfalls, water slides and coral reef. The ocean was big enough to water sky, jet sky, and housed over 150 species of tropical fish. The Resort and Casino stood in the nectar of the ocean as if on an island. There was a large bridge resembling the gold gate bridge that connected the hotel to the highway.
Sato Mitsubishi stood with a long samurai katan blade in hand and bowed to a smaller man in front of him. As the other man raised his head that was adorned by a sweat band, Mitsubishi found himself face to face Gushi Murai, owner of Vegas Sushi.
Both men were dressed in full Samurai warrior attire. Gushi held a blade that was lightly smaller than Mitsubishi's but still formidable none the less.
The two men touched the tips of their swords signifying the commencement and immediately with a long power growl, Mitsubishi swing his sword with all his might at Gushi.
Gushi almost as softly and calmly as a gentle breeze lifted his sword to black and force the opposing blade in another direction away from himself.
The two men danced in the rhythm for a while. Mitsubishi with the fire and spirit of a warrior and Gushi simply echoing his movement with the complete calmness and tranquility as if there was nothing to worry or care or he had nothing to worry or fear. Everything he did was effortless as blinking and eye or taking a breath.
It wasn't until Sato rushed Gushi that he caught the man off guard. For Mitsubishi was almost a foot taller and heavier than Gushi. When he came down heavily with his sword, Gushi blocked the blow but was thrown back and collapsed onto the floor.
"You are weak, Gushi."
"You are forcing, Sato, you are manipulating the outcome with brute force and not the way."
"There is the way and there is will."
"To not follow the way is to seal go against nature. Look at you, Sato, you can hardly breathe, shall we stop."

"Never. you're just jealous because I'm a powerful man. You're jealous because I have become a success. But you have only to blame yourself for the life you have chosen."
"I live the path that was destined for me. You life the one that was meant for you. We can not escape our path."
"You are a poor man's excuse, brother. You have always been more insightful than I. If you applied yourself, you could be where I am. Gushi, you don't know what happiness is. You have not felt the power that I have."
The continued to fight. Sato's pride ignited with a flame for Gushi's smile appeared to mock him.
Mitsubishi attacked.
"Be careful of your power, Sato, it can engulf you like a fire. Fire can burn a person if it gets out of control."
Mitushishi cut thorugh Gushi blade and sent flying across the floor. He raised his sword for anther blow and Gushi looked into the man's eyes and saw him engulfed by the fire within.
Sato had lost control of his anger was about to kill till Gushi cried out, "Brother."
Sato caught himself and the blade stopped in front of Gushi's forehead.
Gushi crawled back and Sato panting and catching his breath dropped the blade and said, "That's enough for today, Gushi. Let's eat."
There was no apology given or expected for Gushi understood that that was life. Play with fire and sometimes you get burned.
He went the bar and Mitsubishi took a seat while Gushi pulled out and identical blade to the one Mitsubishi had destroyed and them pulled out a fish. That upon being pulled out of the water blew up like a balloon and thorns emerged and looked like porcupine.
Blow fish is an incredible delicacy but a dangerous. Only a handful of sushi makers in the world can cut out the meat without tainting it with the fatal neurotoxin.
Gushi was among those men and despite the fact that Mitsubishi had lost control an almost decapitated the man in heat of battle, Mitsubishi had incredible faith that his friend, brother, country man would not resort to poisoning him.
Still as the Fugu came to him in various forms of Sushi rolls and Sashimi, Mitsubishi could not help but curiously eye his friend to see if there was even an once of deceit in them. But as always Gushi had a calm and serene and honest gaze.

It gave Mitsubishi assurance, but the inspection was something Gushi immediately noticed.
"I do not believe in vengeance, Sato." Gush said.
Mitsubishi was glad to hear it. He ate the Fugu and the taste melted in his mouth and he felt a surge of youth and vitality surge through his body. Fugu had a tremendous amount of chi. It made Mitsubishi's fatigue faded instantly. It surged his veins like a shot of hot whiskey.
Gushi laid down a fortune cookie in front of him.
"it is there for you if you wish to see it," said Gushi.
"I make my own destiny, brother," said Sato.
"The cookie, never lies, Sato."

Rico Morcilla walked into the Pearl Hotel and Casino dressed in his Armani suit and speaking loudly on his cell phone.
He'd been calling Sunny every fifteen minutes and he was worried about her. Rico went in the Sushi restaurant and was escorted in a the private room where a naked woman laid on the table covered in sushi. The host closed the door behind Rico. Rico sat down to eat but when he wasn't interested in sushi. He tapped the girl on the shoulder and she looked at him and smiled.
He pulled out a small and snorted lines on the woman's stomach. he sat back and rolled his eyes. All his pain went away. At least for a moment, his life was good.
Ten minutes later Rico walked out of the private sushi room with a look of relief. He went through a long corridor and walked in the room where Sato Mitsubishi was eating his sushi.
Rico walked up to Mitsubishi and he was met an unimpressed gaze by Sato.
"Hey, Mr. M, how's it going?" Sato looked at Rico with great anticipation and offered the man some sushi.
"Fugu.?"
"What's that raw fish forget I don't even lick the kitty if you know what I mean."
"Mr. Morcilla, I'm guessing you have what I wanted."
"No well you see, Mr. M, the price went up and you see well I need half the money in advance."
Sato wiped his mouth and looked over at Gushi.
Gushi bowed started to leave as a man came in pushing a fish tank with a baby shark about four feet long squirming and fighting.
Gushi passed Rico, who was deathly afraid of the beast in the water. He jumped back a few feet as the shark almost jumped out of the tank.
"Let's talk Mr. Morcilla," said Sato.
Mitsubishi led Rico out a side door that wen into an guarded where fountain and stream floated all around. Looking into the water were fish but the kind any type could not be see for they were smaller and swam very quickly.
"We had a deal, Mr. Morcilla.
"Things, changed, Mr. M. But I assure you that all is going a s planned. But the seller has raised his price."
"Let me be honest with you Mr. Morcilla. Your presence insults me. You are a man who simply is way beyond his means."
"thanks Mr. M, I try."
"that wasn't a compliment Mr. Morcilla. As I see it we had a deal and as I see it you're trying to screw me me because well I would guess you have lost the money perhaps your neurotic wife has walked out on you after realizing what a miserable human being you are who's only concern are for his own selfish needs."
A large man came up behind Rico, grabbed his arm and forced it into the water.
"What are you doing?" Rico tried to break free.
"We had a deal, Mr. Morcilla and you need to comply with our original agreement."
The water began to boil and the fish int he water swarmed on Rico's hand. Rico screamed and the let go of him. When Rico pulled back his hand out he could see his thumb was missing.
"What the hell did you do..." Rico saw the blood frothing from his fingers.
"Just showing you I mean business, Mr. Morcilla. You are nothing but an ignoramus. You have eight hours to get me what I want or it won't be just a thumb that you will lose."
Sato left Rico in the garden. The large man picked him up while he cried over his bleeding finger. The man poured booze on his wound and Rico screamed for mercy.
Sato looked back at Rico. "Oh and Mr Morcilla the next time you have coke in my establishment make sure it is in a cup and your drinking it down through a straw."

The 8th Day
One day life is good. The next day it isn't! The boundaries between... well, whatever they're between.. have shattered! Monsters burst out from cracks in the universe, and reality suddenly begins to function similar to a game -- but not a game that anyone knows all the rules about! Magic is suddenly real, but so are monsters and death! Lots of death! And the worst part of it all? I think we did it to ourselves! We invented video games, and personally I think that great Finger-in-the-Sky picked up a console somewhere and started playing them. Since He liked what he saw, he must've declared, """"On the 8th Day, let there be Game!"But what do I know about it all, really. After all, I'm just """"The Witness"""" forced to observe it all.__________________________________________________________________________Author's Note: There's a lot of tales where characters get stuck in a Virtual Reality. """"Sword Art Online"""", """"Log Horizon"""", """"The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor"""". This is a story told with the premise inverted -- instead of a person from reality going into a virtual world, what would happen if the virtual world instead came to reality?I want this tale to speak about the aspects of the game, as it has affected the current reality, but the focus of the story should never be on the """"reality-turned-game"""" itself, but on the characters and their oh-so-human struggles, personalities, and attempt to adjust and live within the bounds of their new existence. Hopefully this won't just be a story of """"reality turned into a game"""", but instead will be something more meaningful such as a story of the strengths, perseverance, and humanity of man-kind as they try to adapt and face the unknown.*** And, most importantly, I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing it. ***WARNING: RATED MATURE M[18+] FOR GORE, SEX, VIOLENCE. The apocalypse isn't a pretty place to try to survive in, and neither is every scene in a story trying to describe it.

"It is a great question, one so great that you shouldn't ask." "I honestly don't know." "Truly child?
