《The Ballads Of Akbar And Birbal》8• The Strange Well Case 💦

Once when The King Akbar

Was listening to a farmer's need,

He told the King, "I bought a well,

But the man is still in greed."

"The previous owner of the well says

That I can't use the water inside,

And claims that he sold the well only

Not the water, with great pride."

Birbal was told to handle the case

And both the men came,

While the previous owner mentioned

The statement exactly same.

"I sold the well, not the water,

My water is not for this man."

Birbal said, "You've got a point,

So you take out the water if you can?"

"Or better you can pay tax

For using the farmer's well."

The man got that his game was over

So his pride immediately fell.

He knelt to the farmer quickly

And with giult, he apologized,

The farmer forgave him easily

So the court was quite surprised.

So that's how 'The Clever Birbal'

Proved himself the smartest of all,

And with his great skills, he won

The hearts of the crowd in the hall.
