I opened the door to my class and was greeted by strong smells of acrylic paints and glue. I spotted my best friend Cerelia cooped up in the corner of the room, sticking pictures and magazine cutouts into her art book.
"Good morning slag," I smirked as I plopped myself onto the chair next to her.
"Well good morning to you too slut, why are you so late?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"I overslept Lia, I'm sorry," I answered unpacking my bag and spilling my brushes and pencils onto the desk in front of me.
"Well don't make it a habit babe, do you know how many dickheads I had to fight off to get this seat?"
"One can only imagine, but thanks for saving me a seat love."
"You're welcome. Anyways, guess who just broke up with Jessica?"
"Uh...wait don't tell me. Jasper?" I whispered in an excited manner.
"Yep, apparently she slept with his best friend. He found them together in bed at Jack's party last Saturday."
"Well it was only a matter of time, she's clapped anyway, have you seen the slugs on her face that she calls eyebrows?"
"Zia be nice." Lia squealed as she playfully punched my arm.
"MISS MENDOZA." Mr Devenish exclaimed.
"I've warned you time and time again to stop talking in my lesson!"
"But sir, I was just asking Cerelia for a sharpener cause mine broke."
"If I catch you talking one more time, I'll permanently move you to the front."
"Yes sir, sorry sir."
"Shut up Lia." I giggled as she tried to avoid my gaze.
"Personally I wouldn't have that, you've been picked on twice and it's only 20 past 10."

"Oh my days, allow it. Can't have you violating me too." I groaned elbowing her ribcage in an attempt to shut her up.
"AZIA! Come sit at the front. You keep disrupting my lesson with your giggling and talking."
"But sir."
"Move your stuff." He demanded.
I scooped up my bag and book and dropped them onto the desk at the front.
Can this lesson go any slower? The clock is moving so much slower than usual. I went back to sketching in my book. I might as well finish while I'm still here.
"Fuck." I mumbled under my breath, my pencil rolled under the desk next to me.
"Psst. Can you pass my pencil please?" I asked the girl beside me. She looked up from her book and stared blankly into my eyes. Woah. She's bloody gorgeous. Her eyes are just wow.
"I havé à name you know," she replied angrily.
"Sorry babe, what's your name."
"Eleena. You must be Azia."
"Eleena huh. I see my reputation precedes me."
"Mhm...not in a good way. Are you always this cocky?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Aren't you just a perky individual?"
"." I winked. I noticed Eleena's cheeks glowed pink after saying that. Cute.
"Anyway, can you pass my pencil, it's under your desk."
"Here," she whispered handing me my pencil.
Our hands touched momentarily and I swear I felt a spark. Her hand felt so warm and soft. Damn. I looked her into her beautiful eyes once more. She's fucking ethereal.
"Uh, thanks." I stuttered. I just completely embarrassed myself. Christ almighty.
Eleena just nodded in my direction and turned back to her work. This is going to be a long term.
