Jungkook blushed, and looked away, slipping his face mask back on. The rest of the night was spent in silence. But on the walk home, our hands intertwined.
Why can't this last forever? I wondered.
When we got into the apartment, the band members were inside, watching a movie. Their attention was on us now.
"Why are you guys here without us?" I asked.
"The better question is: Where were you guys?"Jin asked narrowing his eyes. Jungkook looked away, flustered.
"We were out on a walk," I said quickly.
"Where?" Jin asked.
"Crystal Lake Park."
"Why were you there so long?"
I looked at the clock. 9:17. I couldn't think of anything to reply with.
"We were stopped by many ARMYs," Jungkook replied. I smiled.
"Sit here," Jimin said, pointed to the empty seat next to him.
"I can't, I, uh...I need to get a shower," I said.
"Yeah, and I need to get changed," Jungkook said.
The band members didn't seem to see anything wrong, but Jin's mom instincts knew something was up.
