cole, eric, and i all load out of cole's car.
"okay meet me back at my car in two hours." cole demanded. i nodded and eric did as well. we all started to walk in but cole quickly pulled me back. eric stopped and looked behind, confused as to why we stopped.
"w-what the fuck are you d-doing?" i questioned angrily. he hushed me and pulled me down to hide behind a plant.
"shut up! that's the hottest girl in school!" he pointed to a girl standing by a bench, checking her phone.
"o-okay? why'd you make m-me s-s-stop?"
"you're gonna help me get with her. you look like a little kid. act like i'm nice to you all the time." before i could even react, cole was pulling me over to the girl.
"hey samantha." cole winked at her and i rolled my eyes.
"hi. nice to see you. who's this?" she looked down at me, acknowledging how short i was.
"this is edward." i shyly waved and she smiled back.
"how old is he?"
"he's fourteen." cole responded. i looked at him with disgust.
"oh.. i thought he was thirteen.. so, are you gonna be a freshman this year." she looked down at me and i was so frustrated.
"i-i'm fif-fifteen! i-i'm gonna b-be a sophomore!"
there. i exposed you for being a horrible brother, cole. that's payback for dumping water on me this morning.
she looked at cole with disgust. i smirked. "you're a horrible brother!" she yelled and walked away. i laughed and then saw how mad cole was. that's when i ran.
i was a lot faster than cole, surprisingly, probably running from him, eric, and other bullies my whole life. i hid in pacsun and decided to shop in there in the meantime. i found two champion hoodies, three shorts, one pair of joggers, and two t-shirts. i checked out and heard my phone buzzing so i answered. it was eric.

"hey cole's still pissed but we're ready to leave so meet us by the food court because i think he might be a little hangry. k, bye."
great conversation. i thought.
i walked over to the food court and as soon as i sat down to the table, cole grabbed the back of my next and pulled me towards the bathroom. he yelled at eric to stay at the table so no one would take our stuff.
once we entered, he pounded me. punch after punch after punch, they just kept coming. soon, i had a bloody nose that had trickled onto my shirt.
"stand up and get washed up, now!" he demanded. i did as he said and as soon as he was done, he grabbed my underwear and pulled sharply.
"o-o-o-o-ow!" i yelled. he ignored my pain and hung me on the stall.
"me and eric are gonna go eat. catch ya later, dork."
after what felt like forever, cole finally came back to the bathroom to let me down. once he did tho, he punched me one more time right in the gut. i groaned as i fell over and hit my head on the floor.
"you're lucky i didn't do worse. and get used to that. i'm sure you get picked on a lot in school."
i blushed, and he looked at me, concerned.
"wait.. you don't actually get bullied, do you?" i stood up and tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my shoulder.
"who the fuck bullies you?!"
"i-i do-don't know i-i forgot o-over summer." i stammered.
"okay well you better tell me if you ever get bullied by someone else again. oh, and drop the stutter, geek." he walked passed me and shut the bathroom door right on my face as a tried to walk out.

"okay eric, lets go." cole demanded as he slapped eric in the back of the head.
we all grabbed our bags and walked to the car and started driving home.
"let me see what you got, nerd" eric yelled, barging into my room.
"f-fine" i handed him my bag and he laughed at what was inside.
"w-what?"
"this is all soft boi shit!" he laughed his ass off while i just blushed. i liked dressing that way.
"i might have to steal the hoodies thou-geez you wear an extra small! damn, you're smaller than i thought!" i blushed again, not looking at him. "you're right, you would never survive sports." he started laughing again as i flipped him off.
"g-get out i-if you do-dont like a-anything." that made him laugh even harder.
"i'm sorry but i cannot take you serious with that stutter!" he laughed like a hyena. i got up and pushed him out of my room, struggling a little bit.
i tried to sleep, but i just dreamt how i imagined my sophomore year to look like. i just read instead. this year is not going to be fun and i can already tell..
