After they where both showed and clean the little fluff ball had woken up.

Valentine smiled before gently picking up the tiny animal to see it gender.

"A boy," Valentine said.

The puppy's fur was all black. It looked adorable.

"What are you going to name him?" Jake asked. He was wearing Valentine light blue shorts and his white t-shirt. It looked good on him.

"You know, when I was little I had a dog named Milo. We thought she was a boy for about the first two months, it was pretty funny when the vet told us the he was a she." Valentine said and Jake laughed.

"So, um you gonna name him Milo?" Jake asked and Valentine laughed.

"Um- no, all my dogs get there own name." Valentine said scratching behind the dogs ear.

"So what are you naming him?" Jake asked again.

"Well I would name him Obsidian, but that name was taken a few years ago, so I'm thinking Onyx?" Valentine more of asked glancing back at his pup.

"Yeah, I like it. Onyx's are black gemstone, and a obsidian is a rock." Jake said with a smile.

"Obsidian is more then a rock, it a naturally occurring volcanic glass. I called obsidian because he would only drink hot water when his was a puppy, though he did grow out of it sometime later." Valentine explained as the puppy, Onyx nuzzled against his palm.

"You know a lot about gem and rocks?" Jake asked curiously.

"It was more a phase then anything. Lasted for one year." Valentine explained as he set down on the bed and put Onyx down beside him.

"Let's watched the movie you pickeded," Valentine said as he got comfortable on the queen sized bed.

"Ok," Jake said grabbing the remote and pressing play.

The movie wasn't actually a movie, it was a show called the sand man. Valentine couldn't really get upset, the show was fucking awesome and super inclusive. The sandman was a beast as far as Val could tell, and he was going to get what was taken from him.

Over the course of the first episode, Valentine had layed against the head board of the bed, Jake had climbed between listening splayed legs and relaxed against his chest. They got to episode four when he noticed Jake's eyes getting heavy.

"Let go to sleep, ok?" It wasn't a question no matter how Valentine phrased it, but Jake found he didn't mind.

"Yeah," Jake agreed turning of the TV.

Onyx was already asleep, his little body curl in on it self as he nuzzled against Val's thigh seeming warm.

Valentine wouldn't let the puppy sleep with them, it would be reckless, the little thing could get crushed and suffocate. He'd have to wait until Onyx was at least four months for that.

"I'll move Onyx onto his bed," Valentine said before scoping the puppy into his arms and gently lowing him down onto his own ten side to big doggie bed.

When Valentine turned around he saw Jake's fast asleep.

"You fucking pretty," he whispered as he walked to his bed and got in beside his pup. Valentine placed his head on the center of Jake's chest and closed his eyes.

t's been three week since Bella left and Valentine.

Valentine 3:06- dads been a mess since you left

Valentine been sending gilt triping messages like this for a while. He knew Bella saw, but never responded. That was find, as long as he made her miserable like she made dad Valentine was ok.

"Go get it boy!" Valentine yelled as he though a small ball in the air for Onyx to run get it and not give it back.

He would learn.

Valentine got on his knees and Onyx dropped the ball and ran to him.

"Good boy, you'll get better soon," Valentine incouraged.

Seth throw the ball to Jake and he easy caught it.

He had meet the kid a few days ago when he went to the pack meeting for the werewolfs who was nearing there turning and they hit it of. Seth reminded Valentine of a clueless puppy with a bright smile and bug huge brown eyes always seeing the bright side of things.

"Head up Val!" Jake called as he throw the ball.

Valentine blinked and the time slowed down. Smirking he walked to the slow motion ball grabbed in and walked bake to Onyx before he let the time go back to its normal speed.

"Cheater," Paul yelled and Valentine rolled his eyes.

"You just a sore loser," Valentine yelled before waving the ball in Onyx's face teasing the excited puppy.

"You want it boy, you want it?! Then go get it," Valentine yelled before throwing the ball.

"Come to me boy" "Come to me Onyx," Jake, Seth, Phil, and even Sam encouraged.

Werewolfs seem to like puppys, but Onyx seemed to already find his favorite.

With a bark Onyx dropped the ball and ran to Valentine nuzzling his leg wanting to get head pats.

"That a good boy, yes you are. Tell all of these big bad wolfs who you like best, me, yes you do. Oh yes you do," Valentine praise and there where groans of defeat and playful annoyance.

Onyx tail wagged like crazy as he tried and failed to lick Valentine face.

The little thing suddenly when flying into the air.

There was a yelp of what Valentine interpreted of 'let me down Sam! I want my mage.'

"Mine," Sam says as he held Onyx to his chest.

Onyx licked Sam's face before trying to squirm out of his hold as if saying 'hi Sam, now let me go Sam'

"Let the puppy go Sam!" Emily called out from the porch.

Valentine smiled. This was his sixth time being invited to pack bonding time which happed two times a week. This was Onyx fifth time here and as far as Valentine could see, he seemed to love the time he speeds with the werewolfs.

Valentine had seen many werewolf's in the wolf form and even a few transform. It was fascinating ever time. Right now the only females was turned eating a raw deer leg.

Sam grumbled under his breath before giving Onyx back to his owner.

"Cheater," Sam said as he grabbed the ball and threw it to Phil who caught it effortlessly.
