《How to be a dragon [HTTYD Fanfiction] [Toothcup]》Chapter 1

A Stormcutter was flying through the sea, making his way to the Bewilderbeast's Sanctuary. He looked down to see if the infant in the crip clutched in his claws was fine. The boy was still crying and it made the Stormcutter felt really bad for taking him from his parents. He shouldn't have brought the infant from his parents. Not that he didn't want to. He had magic which made him see the future, and the future of this infant wasn't so bright. With a great protectiveness that came from nowhere, he wanted to make a better fate for the baby.
...Maybe the dragons at the Sanctuary could be his family?
Every dragon had the magic of their own. It could be anything that fit them. They usually gained it when they entered their fitting ages. Of course, the Vikings or Trappers didn't know about that. Human knew nothing about that.
When The Stormcutter was out of his train of thoughts, he realized that he had arrived at the Sanctuary. He flew into the cave that led him to the nest where he lived. Once arrived, he approached the king, the Bewildered Beast. To be frank, the Stormcutter was a bit nervous as he had brought a human into the nest. He could seriously get banished from the Sanctuary for his action.
The king was a huge white dragon with ice magic that fitted his appearance perfectly.
"My king. I brought a hatchling.." The Stormcutter said hastily, his nervousness made his voice unstable."To be exact, A human hatchling"
"Why did you bring him here, Stormcutter?" The Bewilderbeast said with a hint of disappointment in his voice, squinting his eyes as the baby cried."You know that this boy is one of those Vikings right?" Getting scolded by the one who he put all his trust on, the Stormcutter felt like shrinking.

"But my king. I saw his future. It was cruel and harsh. He doesn't deserve the life like that. Despite my magic being limited, I still have a feeling that this boy will make a great impact in the future" The Stormcutter said, gaining some confidence when he stated his claim over knowledge of the future. "Please let me raise him. I will do a good job"
The Bewilderbeast thought about the statement for a short while before responding. "We will raise him. He shall have my blood, my magic. And may the future of the Sanctuary be with him once I'm not there anymore. Stormcutter, you are to be his companion during his childhood and forever be his sibling. Judging from your age, you should be an adult by the time he turns teenager"
The Stormcutter placed the infant in front of the BB and watched quietly as the king bit his lips then slowly dropped his blood into the infant's mouth. The white aura formed around the boy before it died down. The boy stopped crying and his beautiful green eyes glanced up at the Stormcutter. The baby reached for Stormcutter with his tiny hands and the dragon leaned against the soft hands gently.
"He's the next in line. From now on, he will be raised by us" The Bewilderbeast said. "The Dragon Prince has been born!!" He roared so loudly that every dragon could hear. They approached the new prince and bowed to him. Some hatchlings approached the baby with utter curiosity and nuzzled into the boy's soft hair.
"What should his name be, My king?" One of the dragons spoke up.
"Stormcutter?" The Bewilderbeast asked.
"Let that be my job, my lord" One of the elder dragons said. "I can know about him by using my magic"

The screaming death walked out and stared into the boy's eyes. After a minute, it spoke up "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third. That's what his parents named him, my lord"
"Very well. We shall keep this name as an honor for his parents" The Bewilderbeast said. "He shall learn everything we know. We shall raise him like our own hatchling. He's the part of the nest from now on. Shall there be any rejection to him, that dragon will have to face me"
Since then, Hiccup had been raised among the dragons. The Stormcutter didn't regret bringing Hiccup to the Sanctuary. Hiccup was the pillar of joy in the nest. Everyone loved the brunette boy for his sweet attitude and ambition to keep learning.
But sometimes, they thought that he shouldn't learn too much. Especially, about the human which he would learn sooner than they thought. So much more sooner.

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
