《Javon Walton x Reader》Chapter 3- Little White Lies

I woke up around 2 a.m, confused as hell. Shit did I sleep past my alarm. I checked the time, relieved to see I wasn't late, but upset knowing if I go back to sleep, I will sleep in. Looks like I have to stay up...
2 hours had gone by, and I had occupied myself with more Stranger Things, so it was now 4. I decided to just get ready now.
I follow the same steps as yesterday; pick out an outfit, shower, brush teeth, deodorant, and my everyday makeup.
Since I was up super early, I decided to take my time in the shower and choosing my fit. Here's my finished look:
I was ready a bit early still, so I just watched tv.
As I walked downstairs to bug Aj, he was already waiting for me. He looked me up and down with judgmental eyes.
"You're wearing that to school?" He asked, emphasizing 'that' and 'school'.
"Yeah, what's wrong with it? Is it ugly?" I asked, starting to rethink my outfit. "Nah you look good, but don't come home crying if someone steps on your shoes" he said, putting his hands up in accusation as I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, let's go" I said.
Once I was in math class, I was nervously waiting for Jaden, hoping he wasn't still mad about the situation.
I was about to listen to music, until I saw him walk in. I took out my AirPods and put them away.
Once he was at our table I think he could tell I was nervously waiting for him to say something, because every time he glanced at me, I would quickly look away, and he knew.
Just as he lead me to believe he was gonna say something, he sighed and put in his AirPods. Okay then.. I did the same.

In third period, there was a girl who wasn't here yesterday, that walked in. When Mrs. Fields was taking roll, she called the name 'Jayla' and the new girl answered 'here'. "That's a pretty name" I thought. When the teacher called my name, Jayla didn't seem to impressed with me. She actually gave me the nastiest look then rolled her eyes. Oh okay then...
Third period, aka English, was filled with many nasty looks being passed to me by Jayla. Luckily that was shortly over, due to the bell dismissing us for lunch.
I hurried over to the same table as yesterday, hoping to see Kylee.
I was waiting too long before I saw her jog over. "Hey Y/n! So my friend is back today, but I still wanted to sit with you, so could she join too? Her name is ."
Shit. "Oh um, hey Kylee. Y-yeah of course she can" I nervously stuttered.
Kylee thanked me, and walked off to go get Jayla.
Once I saw them walking back, Jayla looked at Kylee, then back to me. This is gonna be fun...
"Dude I don't see her, just call her already" Jaden said getting annoyed with me. "Alright fine." I dialed my sister's number, since we couldn't find her in the cafeteria.
"What do you want?" was the first thing she said when answering the phone. "Woah calm down. Where are you? We can't find you" I said. "I'm at the tall grey table in the back left corner" she said. "Bet, I'll see you inna min" I hung up. "Alright follow me."
"Hi! I'm Y/n" I said, trying to be as nice as possible because this girl seems like she could beat my ass if she wanted to.
"I'm Jayla. I've heard a lot about you" she said bluntly. "You have?" Kylee and I asked. "Yeah I have. You might know my brother, Ring a bell?"

On cue, Jaden and Javon approached the table. Oh fuck. I'm definitely gonna get jumped. Shit shit shit.
"Hey Jayla, hey Kylee. Hey Y/n?" Javon said, sounding confused by the time he got to me. "You know her?" Jayla asked. "Uh- yeah she's in my art class. She's cool, why?" He said, still sounding very confused about the situation. "Cool? She's cool? Your brother says otherwise" she said, looking at Jaden. Great. So I've pissed this dude off enough to tell his sister.
"Dude, Ive tried apologizing. I even apologized to Javon, thinking he was Jaden. It was a misunderstanding and it's not a big deal" I said with a tone. This was so dramatic for literally no reason.
"Look, y'all don't have to like me, that's fine. I couldn't care less wether you liked me or not, but I'm gonna explain myself to you anyways. I ignored Jaden to listen to my music. That's all. I already apologized so I don't know why you're still mad" I said.
Jayla looked at me confused, then angrily looked at Jaden. Tf. "Bruh, you liar. You told me she was being a 'complete bitch' to you" Jayla said, lightly pushing her brother.
I couldn't help but laugh. I found it funny that a small misunderstanding was blown way out of proportion.
Once I laughed, Javon joined, lightly chuckling.
"What's funny?" Kylee asked, smiling at Javon and I. "This whole situation" I said, trying to stop my laugh.
Jayla then gave a small laugh before apologizing. "I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot, you seem pretty cool" Jayla said. "Nah, it's all good, you do too" I agreed.
Just as we were all getting along, the bell rang for 5th period.
"Wanna walk with me?" Javon asked. I almost forgot we had art together. "Yeah sure."
We walked side by side, still finding humor in the fact that Jaden lied about what I did.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
