"i still don't understand why I'm here." you whispered to atsumu.
"i told you my mom wanted to meet you." atsumu whispered back.
"and she met me, can I go now?"
"no. stay." he said and tugged on your hand, pulling you a bit closer to him.
"but you have your jacket back."
"but i want you to stay."
"but i don't want to stay."
"but i won't let you out of this house."
"but i can walk right out the door."
"but i can hug you and keep you here because my mom actually thinks i like you."
"you two act like an actually couple." osamu said from his spot next to you.
"ew, don't be gross." you both said simultaneously. osamu just gave you both weird look and sat down on the couch.
"that just proved my point." he said and you leaned against the couch next to atsumu.
"i don't wanna walk home alone at night." you said and looked up at him.
"i'll walk you." he said and kept an eye on the container of cookies on the counter.
"fine." you weren't completely upset with that idea. a few weeks ago you would rather walk ten miles alone than walk with him.
now it was okay
"atsumu i don't understand why you used to come home saying how annoying she was." his mom said when she returned from the kitchen.
"she was annoying, still is."
"but according to him, i'm annoying in a tolerable way." you remembered his words from the other day.
"how cute. oh! you can call me mieko." she smiled. "i invited you and your grandmother over to dinner tomorrow night, i don't know if she told you that yet."
"no, she didn't." you said, glancing back at atsumu who was already looking over at you. "do you want me to bring anything?"

"i think you're grandma was talking about bringing dessert over." mieko answered. "so don't worry about it."
you nodded and returned to atsumu. he raised his arm and you narrowed your eyes at him.
"we're not at school."
"and? my parents still think we're dating or talking or like each other." you took one huge step and leaned against his side while his arm was around you once again.
"naoko, look at them." you could hear mieko whisper to her husband.
"i'm going to my room!" osamu announced after realizing he was the only lonely one in the room.
"come on." atsumu followed after him with you under his arm.
osamu was setting up video games when you two entered and you slipped out from under his arm to sit on their bunk bed.
there was a blanket tied to the poles so there was a curtain hanging off the top bunk, covering the bottom bunk.
"if you need me i'll be in here." you said and hugged a teddy bear that was sitting on atsumu's pillow to your chest.
atsumu watched as you entered his little bunk bed and disappeared behind the blanket. osamu was struggling to set up the game, so atsumu went over and lifted the blanket up.
you were cuddled up in the middle of his bed with his teddy bear in your arms. "hi."
"hi."
"move over."
"no."
"fine." he got into the bed and pushed you over.
you stubbornly didn't move and he just laid his head in your lap and let his legs hang out of the bed.
you let the teddy bear sit on his face. "i'm breathing in the fluff through my nose."
"good."
"if you turn on the switch in the corner there are lights." he said and pointed up at the tiny box in the corner of the bed.

you reached over and flipped the switch, causing dim golden lights to brightened up the bottom bunk. "wow."
atsumu picked the bear off his face and stared up at you. he threw the bear straight into your face, making you look down.
you threw it back down at his and he threw it back at you. "stop it." he said and sat up.
"you stop it." you grabbed a pillow and smacked it against his side. he grabbed your hands and pinned them next to you on the wall.
"i win." he said and you noticed that his face was about a couple inches away from yours.
"that wasn't an official pillow fight, doesn't count." you said and tried pulling your hands out of his hold.
"whatever you say. i'm counting that. 1-0, miya atsumu in the lead." he let go of your hands and sat next to you instead.
"the game is ready!" osamu called and you lifted the blanket up.
atsumu stayed where he was, not wanting to move. surprisingly for him, he was enjoying the moment.
"ready to lose?" you asked when you got off the bed. atsumu smirked and came out behind you.
"i think you're gonna be the one to lose." he said and sat down next to osamu while you sat between the two of them.
"no."
"yes."
"no."
"yes."
"you two are great actors." osamu interrupted, tired of hearing the same two words over and over again.
"the best ones out there." atsumu said. "we could win an oscar or something."
you leaned back against atsumu's arm since he was sitting slightly behind you.
"yeah you had our parents convinced." osamu nodded. "the one time they'll actually believe in you."
"hey!" atsumu picked up the insult right away and slapped osamu's arm.
"am i wrong?"
"yes."
"no." you agreed with osamu. atsumu glared at you and moved his arm back, making you fall onto your back. "this is why osamu's the better twin." you moved and leaned against osamu's arm instead.
"no he's not." atsumu pulled you back over to him and placed you in front of him, forcing you to lean against his chest.
"is there anywhere i can go where i don't feel single. i'm in a room with a fake couple and they make me feel more lonely than our parents." osamu murmured when he saw you two.
"get yourself a girlfriend." you said.
"we can invite suna over. you two can cuddle up and be all cute like true teammates." atsumu suggested, earning a pillow to be thrown in his face.
he caught it before it hit you and let you throw the pillow back at his brother while he found more pillows.
"mom i'm being bullied!" osamu shouted and rushed out of the room.
"teamwork." you said and looked up at atsumu.
"0-1, y/n and atsumu in the lead." atsumu grinned down at you and held his hand out for a high-five.
you slapped your palm against his, but when you pulled it back he held your hand. "game starting." he said and looked back at the screen.
you looked at the tv and saw the countdown. "and how am i supposed to play with one hand?"
"sunshine, if you didn't notice we're both playing with one hand." he said, leaning his chin on your shoulder. he was so close that you could feel his breathing on your neck.
"and i'm not letting go."
