forgave him."

Ivy rolled onto her stomach. She propped her face up on her hands as she glanced at Donna; who was comfortably sat on her own bed in the girl's dormitories.

"He apologised, Donna," Ivy explained, "It sounded genuine, too. Plus, got better things to do than keep a petty grudge on him," She sighed, moving one of her hands from under her chin as she began stroking Loki.

Donna scoffed, "Like what?" She questioned.

"Like stroking Loki," The red head announced, "Or Quidditch," she muttered under her breath extremely quietly.

Donna let out a clearly over exaggerated sigh, "Quidditch is going to kill you one day."

"Don't be dramatic, Donna," Ivy said, sending her friend a teasing look, "Who knows, maybe one day I'll get you into it."

Donna let out an overly dramatic groan, "Don't be stupid, Ivy," She commented. Her eyes were focused on her best friend as the redhead stroked Loki, "So, are you going to that Black Ball with Sirius then?" Donna pondered, watching as Ivy cringed.

"Yeah," The redhead admitted, she could feel the soft fur under her dancing fingertips and the sound of Loki's satisfied purring filled the room, "I promised him I will."

"So, what are you going to do about Regulus?" Donna questioned, sitting up straight, "He's definitely going to be there."

Ivy let out a sigh. She was hoping that Regulus would stay at the school for the half term break, however, Sirius had mentioned that Regulus never stayed at Hogwarts for any holidays so all hopes of that happening disappeared as quick as they appeared, "Yeah, he's definitely going to be there," Ivy muttered, her eyes focused on the black fur of her cat, "Like I said. We're not friends. We never even were friends, really, merely acquaintances. We'll ignore each other at school and at the Ball."

Donna stared at her best friend. She watched as her green eyes stayed focus on Loki, not daring to even look up at the brunette girl and that's when Donna realised that maybe, Regulus was starting to mean more to the redheaded girl that she thought, than she would admit, "But you do want to be his friend, don't you?" Donna finally asked after several minutes of silence.

Ivy finally looked up. She didn't know what she wanted, but she couldn't help to feel upset over the whole Regulus situation. Ever since he helped her against Crouch, she thought that maybe one day they could be friends. However, thinking about it logically showed her that it could never happen. They were from completely different worlds. Regulus Black was from a strict Pureblood family where as Ivy Evans was from a Muggle family and as much as her parents wouldn't have cared; they just wanted her to be happy. Regulus' would most definitely get disowned and that was something that Ivy knew she wouldn't want to live with on her conscious.

Her jade eyes looked up at the brunette, "I don't know, Donna," She admitted, her voice sounded vulnerable, "I honestly don't know."

"Well, just remember that if you do, I promise not to judge you for it."
