《Change the past?》Chapter 15: Chat

After a tearful reunion, Xue Yang lay in his parents embrace, holding on to them, praying that he would never have to let go again.
"Your hair is white little one, what happened?" Xue Yang's mother Wang Yibo asked.
Retelling the horrible story to his parents, they grimaced in shock.
"I'm not sure there can be anything done about it," Xiao Zhan said, stroking Xue Yang's hair comfortingly.
Xue Yang sighed heavily. "Enough about me please, we need to help Wangji and Yingyue."
Wang Yibo stood up gracefully beckoning Wangji towards him. "Come, we have much to discuss."
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Yibo guided Wangji into a small rose garden.
He sat down a white bench with a matching table and waved his hand. A teapot and two cups appeared.
"Sit." He said, patting the space beside him.
Wangji sat beside him, and Yibo pushed a cup of tea into his hands.
"This should calm down your nerves, I can sense you're still quite scared after the way down here." Yibo said, smiling softly at him.
"Thank you my lord," Wangji said gratefully.
"Just call me Yibo, and you're welcome." Yibo said reclining back into the bench.
"Feel free to not answer these questions if you are uncomfortable," Yibo said seriously, looking him in the eye. "How are you faring with your pregnancy? I have advice if you wish so."
Wangji sighed and placed his hand over his small bump. "I feel like an emotional rollercoaster, I feel happy one second and the next I feel like crying a waterfall."
"Hm I feel your pain," Yibo grimaced. "Wait until you want food that you do not like now, but you want it then. And we don't talk about cramps."
Summoning some more concoctions out of nowhere, Yibo picked them up and placed them into a pouch. "Some teas I have created over the years, they are all labeled. I hope they will be of use to you." He said, placing them in Wangji's hands.

Wangji nodded gratefully and accepted them.
"And Wangji.. '' Yibo continued, "are you sure you're willing to do anything to get your beloved back?"
"I'm very sure my lord," Wangji said firmly.
"Then know this, it will have knock-on effects, the timeline in your future daughter's world, will be sped up. Prepare yourself to know stuff that may shock you in a way you'd never imagine. Believe me, I have witnessed betrayals, confrontations and many enemies," Yibo continued darkly.
"And make sure that you stay true to yourself, and don't let anger cloud your judgment." Yibo finished.
"I know who is trying to hurt us, I myself am fine with it, but I worry for those who will be affected by this more than I," Wangji said worriedly, fidgeting with his fingers.
"Then try to make it less painful for them," Yibo smiled sadly.
Seeing that Wangji had finished his tea, Yibo stood up. Giving Wangji a helping hand he said, "Time to go back, my husband should have sorted out the details with your daughter."
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Wangji found himself in a dark room inside the palace, the only light emanating from a sphere sitting on a round table in the middle of the room. The sphere glowed eerily, the milky substance inside it swirling slowly.
Yingyue and Xue Yang stood behind him, chatting animatedly with Ai.
Xiao Zhan strode towards the sphere, Wangji watching with bated breath, as he stretched out his hand over it and closed his eyes.
After a few minutes of manipulating the sphere, Xiao Zhan began to grimace in pain, his hands shaking heavily.
Seeming to find his answer, Xiao Zhan finally let go of the invisible grip he had on the sphere and collapsed into Yibo's and Xue Yang's waiting arms.

After catching his breath, he said to Wangji and Yingyue solemnly, "His spirit has not reached the underworld. His spirit is most likely wandering aimlessly in the living world, unable to descend since he had no proper funeral rites."
Seeing that Xiao Zhan could not function further, Yibo took over for him.
"Since you did not cremate his body, or place a coin in his mouth, his spirit has not been able to even reach the entrance of the underworld. Which in a way, is good for you."
Yibo quickly whispered something to Ai, who nodded understandingly.
"Yibo wasn't able to explain it, so I will. So, you know the way in Yingyue's timeline, Mo Xuanyu called forth Wei Wuxian's spirit through a summoning ritual? That's the way you have to do it. But I'll help you make sure the spirit goes back into his original body, and not anyone else's." Ai explained rapidly, word tumbling out of her mouth.
Wangji nodded, just about understanding what the goddess was saying.
"You should be the one to summon him," Xiao Zhan advised. "Your voice should act as a magnet"
Yingyue behind him snickered and whispered to Xue Yang, "Magnets definitely, they're the definition of an overly affectionate couple in my timeline." Xue Yang pretended to throw up, and struggled to keep in his laugh.
Xiao Zhan finally stood up.Smiling gently he said, "you must head back to the living now, I'm sure your sons miss you." Looking at Wangji.
"Look after yourself." Yibo said, sadly as he liked the little company that he had gotten with Wangji.
Yingyue turned to Xue Yang. "Are you staying here?" She asked softly.
Xue Yang just gave her a tight hug. "You're like a little sister to me, but yes, I'm going to stay, to get my memories back. But if you're ever in trouble," he said looking at Wangji, "just call for me and I'll be there."
Wangji was not fond of affection, but decided to give Xue Yang a hug as well. He wished him all the luck that he would recover his memories and be at peace with himself.
Ai said one last goodbye to Yibo and Xiao Xhan, and finally led them back into the sun's light.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. Evidence of past civilizations wiped out during previous Unravelings foreshadow the apocalyptic catastrophe looming over the world. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Among the many voices they find is a gifted graduate student researching machine-assisted telepathy -- and his gaming group. Lena never expected that the chance to play DnD with telepathy would result in her becoming an actual Dungeon Master, nor that her friends could become the bosses of her dungeon. This is, in many ways, her dream come true, but there's a catch: What happened to Brad, the creator of that telepathy machine?

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
