In the morning, sleepy breaths were heard.

Wangji stood quietly over the sleeping figures and gave them each a kiss on the head.

He tiptoed to the other side of the bed where Yingyue had Mo Xuanyu wrapped safely in her arms.

He gently nudged her.

"Yingyue,"he said, prodding her, "Please wake up little one, we need to discuss our plans."

Yingyue opened her eyes slowly.

She sleepily untangled her arms from Mo Xuanyu.

She yawned as she stretched like a cat.

She blinked herself awake.

"Hmm what the plan is a-niang? Is that what you asked?" She said giving him a sleepy smile.

"Hmm, what do you have in mind?" He replied gently, as not to startle her at this time.

"So I was thinking, we have to locate a-die's spirit right? So I think we should ask for godly help." She replied scooping some rice into her mouth.

"Gods exist?" He asked, shocked.

"Yes they do, I found a very old text which detailed each god, their role and what they can do.So I went to search for evidence."

"It's hard to believe, but I myself have found traces of old shrines, temples and learnt about old rituals from travelling around. Don't ask me where though, I don't know how I got there or how I found my way back either."

"So I believe the goddess we should go to for help, is the goddess of love, called Ai!. My argument for that is that you love for a-die is extremely strong. She may pity that and help us! But I have backup plans for that in case that won't work." Yingyue explained carefully.

"And after that?" Wangji waited patiently.

"If she agrees, we will ask her to lead us to the underworld, it's the place where people go when they die, since you cannot go down there without a god to guide you."

"This is not a very solid plan Yingyue" he chastised.

"A-niang I am very lucky at getting myself where I want to go with minor complications! Even if I don't mean to! And don't worry I have many backup plans" she grinned.

"Da-ge should be here to refill the food, I will get him as he comes and beg him to look after A-Yuan and Xuanyu, we cannot leave them alone." Wangji added to the plan.

"That's a good idea, since then the elders will think you're still in seclusion since the food will be eaten!" Yingyue said delightedly.

After a while, footsteps were heard.

"Da-ge is here now" he whispered to Yingyue.

"Let me go talk to him."

"Da-ge?" He called.

A relieved Xichen appeared.

"Wangji! Are you alright? I brought the food for the next week!"

"Yes da-ge, thank you for that but, I have a favor to ask of you" Wangji said, quickly diverting the topic.

Xichen sighed.

"Let's talk inside"

Xichen went inside the cave but Wangji stopped him.

"Please don't be shocked da-ge," he asked quietly.

"Not much could shock me, Wangji" he replied.

Xichen strode into the cave and his eyes immediately fell upon two sleeping children, and a girl with her rice spoon halfway to her mouth.

His mouth fell open and the girl's spoon clattered into her bowl.

"W-who are you?" He manages to get out.

"I did tell you you'll be shocked da-ge," sighed Wangji.

"Sit down and I will explain everything to you"

"You're pregnant Wangji?" Xichen yelped.

"Is that the only thing you got from that da-ge?!" Wangji replied exasperatedly.

"I'm going to be shūshu!!" Xichen said happily.

Xichen quickly got serious though.

"Are you sure you want to go through with your plan?" He asked.

Wangji shared a look with Yingyue.

"We're sure," they replied in unison.

"And could you look after A-Yuan and A-Yu while we're gone?" Wangji asked, giving Xichen the Wangji version of a pout.

"Don't worry I will!" Xichen said.

Wangji sighed happily.

"Another reason I came was because I have some news for you" Xichen declared.

"I married Jiang Wanyin in secret a few days ago" he said smiling happily.

Wangji was content seeing Xichen's genuinely happy face as he talked about the love of his life.

He had seen the way his brother fell head over heels for the Jiang heir.

Even if he had a terrible temper, he was happy because his brother was happy.

"I will look after the children don't worry, and be safe, the both of you" Xichen said, standing up.

"Thank you shūshen!"

"Thank you da-ge"

"Good luck" Xichen smiled.
