《Pen Pals {MXTX}》26- Mission S.A.P (Part 2)

Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin looked at each other. A split-second decision was made.
And no, it was not jumping off the balcony onto the first floor which would have resulted in a broken leg or their funeral. And if the latter happens they can only blame themselves for being two very rash hotheads.
Jiang Wanyin and Wei Wuxian both flee into the coffee shop.
They waited for Jiang Yanli and the peacow to enter.
"Uh, so I would like to order a cup of coffee," the boy muttered, his face shadowed by the menu he held in front of his face.
"Sir, what kind of coffee would you like?" the waiter asked patiently.
"Uh, extra sugar-?"
"Wei Wuxian, don't tell me you never ordered from a coffee shop before," muttered the boy sitting across from Wei Wuxian, also face hidden behind a menu.
Wei Wuxian slammed the menu down. "Hey, don't blame me! Blame the author! She never even stepped foot inside a Starbucks before!"
Jiang Wanyin stared at the boy in disbelief.
"Anyway, I don't really drink coffee. Do you guys have coke here?" Wei Wuxian asked, turning his head towards the server.
Then Wei Wuxian's eyes widened in surprise as he saw the person's face.
It was a handsome boy, around their ages, maybe a little older, with dark black hair and gentle eyes.
"You!" he exclaimed.
Jiang Cheng glanced over. Surprise also flickered in his eyes.
He said, "You!" At the same time, the server also said, "Me-?" Then the server's eyes' also widened in recognition.
The two boys stared at each other, their surprised expressions mirroring each other.
Wei Wuxian looked back and forth. He said, "oh wait. Not you."
At first glance, Wei Wuxian thought that the boy taking their order was the same person he jumped on the other day at the mall. But after a second look and seeing the eye color was slightly darker along with seeing the boy's reaction to Jiang Wanyin, this must be the person who spilled coffee on Jiang Wanyin that day in this very shop.

"Jiang Cheng, you didn't tell me that the person who spilled coffee on you was the server! No wonder they give you their jacket, it's called customer service! And here I keep thinking, they must be an absolute angel for giving you their jacket."
"Actually," the boy spoke up, "I wasn't working that day."
"Oh, then you are an absolute angel," Wei Wuxian said without missing a beat. "What's your name, good sir?"
The boy smiled. "I'm Lan Huan. Lan Xichen."
"Nice! I'm Wei Ying! Wei Wuxian. And that's Jiang Cheng."
"Jiang Wanyin," the irritable boy muttered.
"Yeah, yeah. Say, I feel like we forgot something."
"Oh, was it your order? Then would you like to order?" Lan Xichen asked, smiling as he held up his notepad.
"Noo, not that. Oh, shoot! We are supposed to be here to watch A-Jie! Lan Xichen, my friend, can you see if you can see what my A-Jie and that peacock are doing right now?"
Lan Xichen looked confused but nevertheless, he looked around the coffee shop.
The coffee shop has restaurant booth seatings, two-person sofa-like seats. It was an advantage because it meant Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin would be hidden from Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan's sight. It was also a disadvantage because it means they couldn't see them either.
Lan Xichen looked over twice. He said, "Wei Ying, can you be a bit more specific? What does your A-Jie look like?"
"Well, she's very pretty and nice, she's wearing a light lavender dress today! Oh, and the guy she's with is wearing the most hideous yellow jacket you will ever see. I am totally not being biased," Wei Wuxian replied.
"Oh, well, I don't see them here but isn't that them?" Lan Xichen asked, pointing out at the shop's glass window.
Wei Wuxian spun around. They watched as Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan goes down the escalator.
Jiang Wanyin cursed. "That Jin Zixuan is more shrewd than I thought! He managed to get away with A-Jie without us noticing!"

Wei Wuxian: "Yeah! >:(="
Jiang Wanyin stood up and dashed to the door. He grabbed Wei Wuxian with him.
Wei Wuxian exclaimed, "But do you guys have coke here?? I still wanna know!" as he and Jiang Wanyin departed Aunt Luo's coffee shop.
Wei Wuxian and Jiang Wanyin went back to their original spot on the second-floor balcony. Which was in front of the coffee shop.
"Is that them? Wei Wuxian, did you bring the item?" Jiang Wanyin asked.
"Yeah, yeah I got it!" Wei Wuxian took out a pair of plastic toy binoculars. "Too bad, I forgot to get the real (Hua Cheng's) binoculars from Luo-xiong's apartment," he added.
Jiang Wanyin wants to whack Wei Wuxian on the head. "Do those even work?! And also, why are you here???"
Lan Xichen had followed the two boys out of the coffee shop.
"Aren't you supposed to be working?" Wei Wuxian also asked the boy as he adjusted the plastic blue binoculars that he had most likely gotten from a McDonald's happy meal.
Lan Xichen answered, "I'm on my break time right now! ^u^"
"But why are you following us? Don't you have anything better to do?" Jiang Wanyin said, irritated.
"I don't," Lan Xichen said simply. "Also it seems like you guys are doing something interesting!" He smiled.
"... Sure dude, I guess you can think that," Wei Wuxian said as he held the toy binoculars to his eyes. "Oh, I see them!" he exclaimed.
"Wei Wuxian, you are not even looking in the right direction-"
"No no no, I definitely see them! Omygosh, Jiang Cheng, is that Luo-xiong?! And is that a girl he's with?? Is it, Jiang Cheng?!" Wei Wuxian shouted.
Jiang Wanyin almost wanted to throw Wei Wuxian off the balcony. "WHO CARES?" he practically roared. "Who cares if it's your Luo-xiong or not?? Go back to A-Jie! We can barely see them now!"
"You don't understand, Jiang Cheng! Luo-xiong said he was gonna play video games today! He's all moody these days! And now he's going on a date?! I'm worried!"
Jiang Wanyin impatiently said, "Why are you worried? It's not like he's a glass-hearted maiden! A-Jie is more important!"
"Okay okay, I see your point, Jiang Cheng! Just let me watch Luo-xiong for just a little bit and then we go back to Mission S.A.P! Wait, is that even Luo-xiong? Jiang Cheng, does that guy look like Luo-xiong to you? It's probably not Luo-xiong, right? You know, these binoculars aren't really that good. Jiang Cheng? Jiang Cheng, why aren't you replying to me?"
Wei Wuxian finally took off the plastic binoculars and turned around. His jaw almost dropped to the floor.
He stuttered, "A-a-Jie-?"
In front of them was Jiang Yanli, wearing her lavender dress, her hair loose with two side buns, and Jin Zixuan with his designer yellow jacket.
Jiang Wanyin was silent looking to the side, looking like a kid who was caught red-handed stealing the last cookie from the cookie jar.
Wei Wuxian looked at his A-Jie and Jin Zixuan, then looked at the first floor of the mall where they were supposed to be-?
Jiang Yanli spoke, "A-xian, A-cheng, what are you guys doing here-?"
Wei Wuxian opened his mouth. Then-
"Sorry, A-Jie. Since you caught us, I guess we could only tell you the truth."
Jiang Wanyin's eyes grew wide. What is Wei Wuxian up to now?
Is he going to tell the truth?
Is he gonna sacrifice the soup??
Is it over for them???
Is this Lan Xichen still gonna stay here????
What will happen now?!!

Master of Dungeons
-This is my first attempt at uploading a story I created. It is not a fanfic, but uses several systems from other stories I've read. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments or criticisms as appropriate. Thank you.-Edwin Cast was your (mostly) regular guy living and working in Kentucky. He had a knack for working, and was always bouncing from job to job as fancy took him. Insatiably curious, he was always on the look out for new or interesting information or things to do. You could say he was a 'hard-work fanatic'.But with an ailing mother and the inability to realize that he was being shunned by those considered his 'betters', he met his mortal end at the hands of those people who he replaced. Beaten to death on the same day his mother died, he's soon pulled from the void into a world beyond his own imagination. Reborn into a fantasy world as the last 'Demon Lord', Edwin is expected to rule over a vast number of races, each of which are considered 'monsters' and demon-kin by the zealous human kingdoms of the world. And if that wasn't enough, the only way to progress and make ends meat is to build and control 'Dungeons' for the righteous humans to invade!Edwin will have to give it his all in a world he never expected even existed, and will have to learn to survive with his wits and growing power in order to establish something resembling peace in the war-torn lands of Eternia.-NOTE: I'm still in the process of working on the storyline, characters, and abilities that will be presented. A large number of themes are planned, and mature/adult content is planned. The story may also be a bit slow in some cases, so please bare with me. Thanks again!-NOTE: People have been mentioning the rough grammar and spelling errors that come with my posts; and while I've said so in the forum comments, I'm going to post it here as well. This is all basically a rough draft. I post the chapters as I write them, with only a spell-check for accuracy. None of the chapters are proofread. Once people point out blatant errors, I try to correct them; but otherwise I'm more interested in writing. If anyone wishes to proofread my work, shoot me a PM on the forums! Thanks again.

I was summoned to another world. Not as a Hero, not as a Saint, not even as a Demon King, but as a regular contract demon. You know, like the ones that come when you sacrifice a chicken or something on top of a magic circle. It's a bit weird, especially since I'm human, but I've just decided to go with the flow for now. Which apparently means becoming the employee of an item shop. (What's that? You want to know what cheat powers I've been given? Well, how about an inexhaustible source of mana substitute? ...Holy crap, I have an inexhaustible source of mana substitute.)
