《ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴡᴀᴠᴇs》A friendship develops

"Oi~! Mikan Lover!" A scream woke up Chika from her sleep, an unexpected one at that. The voice that called out to her was happy and jumpy.
Oh gosh, please don't tell me..
And there she was. You Watanabe had been the one who called out her name. Chika felt slightly unsettled since she had not told You where her home was located, nor had she been with her there before. After all, they had only just met.
"Are you a stalker or something?" Said the sleepy girl to the one standing right below her balcony. "How did you even find me?"
"Weeell, if you come down here, I'll tell you~ But I recommend you fix your hair first, it looks like a bird could nest it in." You said as she let out a smile.
"Oh, shut up."
15 minutes later:
"Took you long enough!" said the silver haired girl.
"Well, I didn't exactly ask you to be here anyways. Now, how did you find me?"
"Straight to the point, eh?" Chika shot her a glared that said 'tell me before I end up suing you for being a stalker', well, something along those line. And thankfully for You, she got it. "Well, remember you told me about your habit of coming to the caffè often?"
Chika nodded. "Well.. I um.. I was talking to one of the workers about my day and when I got to the part of meeting you, she told me that she had actually been to your house before and you two often hanged out together, so.. well, you can tell how the rest went." You said, slightly embarrassed to say this out loud.
The orange haired girl found herself feeling slightly surprised and maybe.. happy at the same time? She didn't think anyone would actually take interest in her after randomly meeting and care enough to ask about her address. In a way, it was kind of creepy, there's not doubt. But also sweet.

"Well, Mrs. Stalker, I'll reconsider suing you for now. " Said Chika as she walked away from You, putting her hands in her pockets. You ran up to her, a huge smile on her face. "What's your reason for looking so happy?"
"Am I not allowed to smile?" And once again, Chika shot her a look, one that transmitted doubt this time. "Fine, I'm just surprised we've held a conversation for this long without you snapping back constantly."
"Don't get too comfortable yet, I'm still considering wether I should sue you or not, remember?"
"Yeah, yeah." The other girl said, still with a smile on her face.
And so, they both walked towards the caffè together without saying another word.
Once there, Chika waved at the other employee she saw, a girl working behind the counter, who she was actually pretty close to. Her name was Kanan.
"Hi Chika!" Said the girl with a sweet smile. She had her long hair up in a ponytail, her dark purple eyes were set on Chika. She later turned her gaze towards You, waving and greeting her as well.
And then Chika realized something.
"Kanan, were you the one that told You where I live?" Chika asked as she squinted her eyes slightly.
Kanan let out a small, yet nervous laugh. "Sorry Chika, I just couldn't resist. I mean, of course I wouldn't give your address to a total stranger! But I know her well enough to say that you wouldn't be in any danger by simply giving her your address."
"I don't know if I should be offended or not, so I'll just take it as a compliment."
Chika smiled a little at You's comment.
"Hey, we're still supposed to be working here, you know? Lucky for us, Chika is the only costumer that comes this early in the morning, but that doesn't mean other people won't arrive anytime soon, so put on your apron and stop slacking off."

"Finee. You're too uptight sometimes Kanan." You snorted as she did what she was ordered and headed towards Chika to take her order. "Welcome to our caffè, what might I serve you today? The same as last time?" She said in a professional, mocking tone.
"I would like spice it up a little bit actually. Bring me some french toasts along with your finest strawberry juice." Responded Chika, playing along with You. The waitress bowed and turned around, heading to transmit the order to whoever was having their shift at the kitchen at the time.
Some minutes later..
Chika drank her strawberry juice and help the straw in between her lips. You sat in front of her and watched her like she was some work of art.
"Why are you staring at me like that? I'm trying to eat here." The costumer said while looking up, munching on her toast. Chika poured honey on the next piece she took to her mouth, a little too much actually, making it drip from her mouth slightly as a consequence.
"A-ah! It's just.." You said, suddenly aware of how she was staring at the girl sitting in front of her. And then, she noticed the honey dripping from her mouth. You leaned in and wiped it away with her thumb, making Chika show a surprised look.
"Stop flirting you two, it's making me sick." Said Kanan, who had been watching them the whole time.
"F-flirting!?" Kanan's comment had cause her to almost choke on her toast, Chika coughed with her cheeks turning a slight shade of peach pink.
Now both Kanan and You were bursting with laughter, tears falling from their eyes.
And when Chika saw You smile, she smiled too. For the first time in a long time, she smiled sincerely, not even being aware of it. Eventually, the contagious laughs of her friends made her burst into laughter too.
