"Ohhh shittt... I slept through that? ohhhh...ahhaah....!!"
I had to check the Dream SMP discord server once more to find out why pretty much everyone was on the server as of this moment.
Apparently there was some big lore thing that has been or was going on!
So- in a small summary, apparently Tommy blew up the community house. It's one of the oldest buildings on the SMP to date and now they're having a little scrap at the now destroyed building.
I want to watch- but I'm not very sure if it'd be alright for me to just waltz right in there unannounced.
Well- I mean... Dream mentioned that I was allowed to briefly before, but I would feel a bit rude.... Maybe if I just watched one of their streams?
I knew Technoblade was streaming the SMP on Youtube, and my top recommended streaming right now on Twitch is lé Tommyinnit.
Flipping a coin on whos pov to watch- the results told me to watch Tommy's stream.
Clicking on his channel, I brought his twitch up onto my other monitor and let the stream play as I walked around in game.
Right now, pretty much everyone was fighting Technoblade while Tommy fought with Tubbo.... from what I could tell anyways- it's hard to say when you see the screen spazz every other second.
hmmm.... now that I look at the stream more it makes me realize something...
It's been quite a long time since I even saw Tommy's face. It's-- kinda weird after all this time.
Usually when scrolling through Twitter, Instagram, or on rare occasions: Tumblr.... I'd see pictures of him or some of the other minecraft youtubers. Edits or just posts from the youtuber themselves, I haven't seen a live feed of face cam in so long.
His blonde hair was like how I remembered, a little ruffled but not completely messy. Because of the tone and quality of his camera, I could barely make out his blue eyes. Tommy wasn't smiling, he had his serious roleplaying face on-- since he was in the middle of roleplaying.
"THE DISCS WERE WORTH MORE THAN YOU EVER WERE!!" Tommy shouted, hitting Tubbo's minecraft character with his axe.

Well- this stream is already off to a fantastic start for my eyes and ears...!
After saying this, everyone was quite surprised and baffled. And after a while, Tommy realized what he said was wrong and decides to do what he thinks is for the best.
"I'm... I'm sorry... Tubbo..." Tommy said, expression full of regret "...give him the disc"
"...huh? a-are you sure?" Tubbo asked, shocked.
Tommy silently nodded.
"Give him the disc"
Tubbo then went into an enderchest located conveniently next to him, taking out the disc 'mellohi' all before finally tossing it over to Dream.
Dream then begins to laugh, and thanks Tubbo.
Tommy then seemed to be going through a mental breakdown... apologizing over and over again to Tubbo, saying that he was a bad friend... etc.
And to conclude everything after that-- Tommy decides to go back onto Tubbo's side- betraying Technoblade. Then Techno and Dream join up and publicly announce their attack on Manberg tomorrow at 3PM.
There might've been some-- uhh... errors during that time, but it's whatever!
Currently, the sun was going down (in game) and I somehow ended up in Manberg.
I ended up walking past the community house, griefed beyond repair.
"Oh god- the community house took an L" I muttered out loud to myself.
I continued walking through the place, taking in all the sights before it gets destroyed by Dream and Technoblade tomorrow at 3pm whatever the amarican timezone is...
I can't say I'll really miss this place, I wasn't an official member--- plus, all the good memories were gone after the first war... in my opinion anyways.
Soon enough, I ended up walking my way straight into a seemingly contemplating Tommyinnit. He was sat at a bench, listening to... music? But- I don't hear it in my game, it's on Tommy's stream.
He was just looking out at the sunset.
And all I did was stare.
Maybe it was because I had my shaders on during it all.... But I really couldn't look away, and I took a little screenshot as a little memento.
Though, once Tommy did move his character, he ended up seeing me.

Ah shit-
"wait- wha?" I heard Tommy mutter out over his stream.
I was about to look over to my other monitor, but I saw something appear in chat.
Tommyinnit whispered to you: Y/N?
Realizing the awkwardness of the situation I was in, I opened up discord and joined the vc he was in.
"Hey, Tommy... Contemplating about life?" I said.
Tommy paused for a moment, just staring at me. Then, he let out a sigh before turning back to face the sunset.
"Yeah, something like that- I guess..." He murmured.
I began to walk my character over to his one.
"So- tomorrow, huh?"
"....yeah, tomorrow" He responded.
I stopped and stood beside the bench Tommy was on, staring directly at him.
"You lot dont need to fight, there are always other ways to---"
"No." Tommy stated, turning is character back to face me "We gotta fight. We have to fight."
If it wasn't for plot convenience, then I would've thought suggested maybe about 20 different solutions to solve their current problems. But-- it is what it is.
"....If that's how you see it. But situations like this can be solved in many more peaceful ways." I pointed out.
"...I don't want to go the coward way out" Tommy tells me.
"Going about it peacefully or smart isn't a cowardly way out. It's just what would be best for this country.... But I can't really persuade you if you think violence is the answer to your problems..."
I paused for a moment before continuing to speak to Tommy.
"I wonder Tommy... Where did your prospective change on life?"
"Huh? what do you mean?" He questioned.
"Do you honestly believe that violence is the only option you can chose? You can resolve every conflict that you encounter in a peaceful matter... It's just a matter of if you could think up and execute that plan into motion. Talking it out wouldn't do much because of the current people you're dealing with... but possibly preparing for the worse... Like- making Manberg explosion proof would be beneficial.... or take away something they care about..."
Once I finally came to realize my rambling, I mentally scolded myself for blabbering.
"--uhh, sorry. I rant too much when it comes to things like that..." I mumbled, speaking quieter than usual.
"Nah- it's fine.... You actually give some pretty good points..." Tommy admitted. "But, I still feel like our way of going at it would be better"
"Gotcha... Then, I'll help as much as I can..." I say.
"Wait- really?"
"Yeah, I don't see why I shouldn't. I have to keep looking out for you every time Dream shows up.... And now I guess I'll look out for you if Technoblade goes after you too. He may be pretty terrifying, but-- how bad could he really be?" I say.
"You don't have to baby me so much, I can fight my own battles" Tommy states to me.
"Oh- clearly you can..!~ But I'm still not letting you die under my watch. Think of it as a parently instinct--! " As soon as I realized my weird comment, I decided to fix it up a little "--minus me being a parent and other shit like that."
"You're an actual fucking weirdo" Tommy chuckled a bit.
"You don't have to say that out loud... I knew for some time you've been thinking it- but hearing it out loud makes it so much more worse..." I whined a bit, half jokingly crying a bit as well. "You're such a meanie, Tommy... you killed Tubbo's dog, now you're bullying someone who was just trying to make you feel better....You're a sick bastard, you know that?"
"PFT----HAhaAhA! YEAAH, YEAh.... But I'm not the biggest bastard- that's Dream." Tommy comments.
"Lol- keg. You know what? Toast to that big man" I smirked.
After that little joke placement, I decided to go back to the lore bits.
"...Anyways, are you ready for tomorrow, Tommy?" I asked.
Tommy stares at me for a few moments before finally answering.
"...yeah. Yeah I am."

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

If a man is told to walk from the moment of his awakening to the world, what will he do? He will walk. What if along his path he stumbles and falls? He will get up, and walk. What if along his path others bar the way? He will push through, and walk. What if along his path a storm hinders his passage? He will overcome it, and walk. What if along his path the sky changes color and light no longer guides the way? He will remain on his path, and walk. What if along his path the very ground gives way to oblivion? He will press on, and walk. What if along his path he becomes more than a man? Will he stop? Release schedule will be either weekly, or biweekly, depending on the time I have available. Hopefully that will change for the better along the way. As for the story itself, opinions matter a lot! I appreciate both soft, and hard criticism, so don't hold your punches.
