《Desire [Newt Scamander]》Macy's

Evelyn found herself being yanked back by an Auror just as her friends began to disapparate.
She tried her hardest to get free from the grip of the Auror, but failed as her friends disappeared from her.
"No!" She screamed clutching her wand in her hand.
She wanted to disapparate but another Auror joined the other, in pulling her across the floor.
"No, please-" Evelyn began to plead much to the Auror's distaste.
"Shut it." One of them said in annoyance.
They lift her up by her arms snatching her wand in the process, before disapparating away from the now near empty bar.
...
Evelyn sits slumped in the corner of a dark cell, her knees bought up to her chest as she cries softly.
She's not sure how long she's been here or if anyone will come save her.
-
Newt, Tina, Jacob and Queenie apparate right outside of a department store, the windows full of expensively dressed mannequins.
Newt runs up to the store window as they watch a bag hover in mid air and float of into the store.
"Demiguises are-" Newt begins to say but stops suddenly not seeing Evelyn.
"Where's Evelyn??" Newt asks panic starting to form within him.
The three look back at him suddenly realising she's not with them.
"Oh no." Queenie says and disapparates.
Newt who is starting to breathe heavily, uses his wand to enter into the store followed by Tina and Jacob.
"We need to get my Demiguise, but Evelyn isn't safe-" Newt begins to ramble but is cut off.
"Queenie's gone to check, I'm sure she's fine." Tina says but even she sounds uncertain.
Newt takes another deep breathe telling himself that Queenie will be back soon with Evelyn .
Hopefully.
"Okay so Demiguises are fundamentally peaceful, but they can give a nasty nip if provoked." Newt explains to a confused Tina and an even more confused Jacob.

The Demiguise appears suddenly, the silvery orangutan-like creature clambers over a display to reach a box of sweets.
"You follow me." Newt says to the two.
"And try very hard not to be predictable." Newt adds as they tiptoe through the store.
A small roar can be heard in the distance startling them.
"Was that the Demiguise?" Tina asks puzzled and nervous.
"No, I think that might be the reason it's here." Newt replies moving rather swiftly down an aisle, approaching the Demiguise who is now moving away.
The Demiguise turns and looks at Newt before moving quickly up a set of stairs, Newt smiles and follows.
They reach a huge dark attic filled with shelves packed with boxes of what appears to be kitchenware.
They follow the Demiguise and half when it begins to empty the contents of its bag onto the floor.
"It's sight operates on probability, it can foresee the most likely immediate future." Newt whispers creeping up behind the Demiguise, Jacob and Tina don't move any closer.
"So what's it doing?" Jacob questions curiously looking at the creature.
"It's babysitting." Newt replies a small smile on his face.
The Demiguise reaches out its hand offering one of the sweets to something.
"What did you say-" Tina starts to say but Newt interrupts.
"This is all my fault. I thought I had them all..but I must of miscounted." Newt whispers to a confused Tina and Jacob.
Newt places his case down beside the Demiguise who kindly moves up to make space for him.
"It was babysitting that?" Tina says a look of horror on her face as she looks up.
The light coming through the cracks of attack roof reveal the scales of a large creature hiding.
The creature moves slowly down appearing before them.

"Occamies are chronanatyxic, so they grown to fill available space." Newt says as he hold up his hand gently toward the Occamy.
"Mummy's here" Newt says softly.
However, rather suddenly Jacob moves back knocking a bauble which jingles across the floor.
The sound causes the Occamy to rear up screeching as Newt frantically tries to calm the creature.
"Woah woah!" He says loudly as the Occamy thrashes about whilst the Demiguise moves onto Jacobs back for protection.
Items are smashed as shelves begin to fall
"Right, we need an insect, any kind and a teapot! Find a teapot!" Newt shouts as he holds on to the Occamy who has scooped Newt up on its back.
Newt clings on as Tina frantically searches for a teapot.
Jacob reaches out trying to grab a cockroach, but as he goes to grab it the Occamy crashes down destroying his chance.
Jacob runs up and dives forward onto the floor spotting another cockroach.
Tina spots a teapot and reaches for it holding it up and yelling "teapot!"
The Occamy rears its head once more causing its tale to squash and pin Jacob and the Demiguise against a wooden rafter.
The Demiguise suddenly vanishes as the Occamy stares closely at Jacob, edging its head closer and closer to the insect in his hand.
Jacob holds in his breath as Newt peers round from the Occamy's head.
"Roach in teapot..." Newt whispers to which Jacob gulps and try's to keep his eyes off of the Occamy.
"Shhhh..." Jacob nervously says attempting to soothe the Occamy looking over at Tina who holds the teapot.
Jacob throws the roach towards Tina as the Occamy begins to uncurl and swirl round the room.
Tina runs, the teapot outstretched in her hand as she lands in her knees.
The cockroach falls in the the teapot perfectly.
The Occamy rears up again, shrinking rapidly as gilded easily into the teapot.
Newt races forward and jams a lid on top, as they all sigh in relief.
"They also shrink to fit available space." Newt says happily walking over to his case.
"Keep hold of the teapot and lid." Newt instructs Tina.
He allows Dougal the Demiguise who has now reappeared to enter the suitcase.
But Newt shuts it quickly at the sound of Queenie apparating into the room.
Her eyes are glossy from tears, a broken look on her face as she look directly at Newt.
"She-she's gone...they- they took her." Queenie manages to say, tears rolling down her cheeks as Jacob moves towards her to comfort her.
Tina stands in shock and fear for Evelyn as she clutches tightly to the teapot.
Queenie looks towards Newt who takes a step back in shock sitting on a fallen stack of crates.
He buries his face in his hand.
"No,no,no,no,no." He mutters shaking his head.
No one says anything for a while all that can be heard is the rattling of the Occamy in the teapot and Queenie sniffling.
Newt looks up at them getting there attention as they look back.
Tears are in his eyes, a heartbreaking face to behold.
"We are going to get her." He says firmly, a determined look on his face.

Art of Mortality
New Synopsis after chapter 56: Long long ago, there was a mortal who despised the gods and envied the immortals. Why do the mortals have to die when the gods wish them to? Why do worlds have to perish when the gods say so? Why do only immortals get to live forever, why not mortals like him? As his family, friends, and his loved one died, he lamented. He wailed, he cried. He cursed the immortals, blasphemed the gods, spat at the heavens. But he was just a mere mortal. His curses were pointless, his blasphemous words were useless, and his spits only returned back to fall on his face. At last, he thought, enough was enough, he would definitely do something about it. He decided that it was time for the multiverse to know what a mortal can do. He was the first mortal to cultivate. Eventually, after a long struggle, he killed the Immortals, enslaved the Gods, and shattered the heavens. He reshaped the multiverse and rewrote his fate. In the end, he reincarnated as he decided upon a grand scheme, a scheme to rule 'All and Always'. He came up with the concept of what is known today as 'Paragon'. And with this, all of reality, 'All and Always', was finally reforming, according to a Mortal's Wish. Synopsis (Old): In the vast and complex multiverse, what can a mortal accomplish? In the grand scheme of things, what can a mortal change? In truth, what is a mortal, and what is mortality? Being mortal is being ordinary, the same as being trash, or so says The World. "No, mortality is an art, and a true mortal is a grand artist. Being the root of all, a mortal can become anything.", says a young mortal boy. Meet Edward Alexander, a mortal boy walking the path against gods and immortals, fighting to the end to rewrite his destiny, and change the grand scheme of things. Can he really change the grand scheme of things? Or maybe he himself is the Grand Schemer? To know the answer, follow Edward Alexnder on his journey to demonstrate the Art of Mortality.*******

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

Cannon Fodder Cheat System
