《If I Fall // Fantastic Beasts》Four

The motel room was small and cold, the single window in the room was stuck open a little bit causing some rain to pour in making a mess of the dark green carpet.
"It looks like this room hasn't been used in ages" Mercy chuckled taking a seat on one of the two beds
Newt nodded his head in agreement as he set his case down on the vacant bed, he opened the suit case before motioning Mercy to follow him. "Your freezing, come down here for a change of clothes"
She nodded her head as she followed the man deeper into the case, once inside she walked towards her truck that she had brought with her that contained all of her clothes for the entire trip.
"Can't wait to get rid of these soaking wet clothes" she grabbed her navy blue pyjamas
"Don't you find it uncomfortable when your clothes are wet? It feels like your being trapped, don't you think?" The man stated grabbing himself a change of clothes
"Yeah, I hate it. I'm going to upstairs and change, see you up there" she said climbing up the stairs and back into the damp motel room, entering the bathroom the woman change quickly before checking out the beds.
The beds were quite large for such a small room but looked like they had been destroyed, the bedding was marked up with rips and holes as well as the sheets underneath. Soon Newt climbed up into view, he too had changed into a fresh, dry pair of clothes.
"These beds are rubbish" the woman looked disgusted
"They can't be that bad" he said checking his own bed out for proof
After moments of silence the man looked up with a frown and a disgusted look to match the woman's. "Why are they all ripped up?"

Mercy shrugged her shoulders before taking a seat on the floor, she wasn't going to sleep in those beds no matter how grateful she was to be out of the storm.
"There is a great big brown stain on the sheets as well" Newt coughed covering up the stain before joining Mercy on the floor.
"I have a bed in my case, you can rest on that"
"No, no, it's your bed, you have it. I'm fine down here" she smiled laying on the damp carpet
Newt sighed before poking at her face, "come on, it's more comfy and warm down there"
"Will you stop with the poking" Mercy grunted slapping his hand away
"If you join me"
"Fine" she quickly stood up as Newt walked over to the brown rectangle again, "wait, I will lock the door so nobody walks in to see us walking into a suitcase" she chuckled at the thought. Once the door was locked she followed behind Newt into the first room, he took out his wand and lifted it into air before a bed appeared in the middle of the room.
"I have some blankets and pillows over here" he said
Mercy nodded while taking a seat on the wooden steps, she watched Newt collect two pillows and a few blankets from a shelf along the back wall.
"Here" he handed her the items "get some rest"
"What? No, it's your bed you need to sleep" she gave the items back
"I highly recommend you get some sleep, Mercy. Your always cranky in the morning with not enough sleep!"
"But, I feel bad" she sighed staring at her feet
"Why would you feel bad at such a thing?" the man chuckled
She shrugged her shoulders while still holding her gaze at the wooden floor boards, Newt took the pillows and blankets and began setting up the double bed. Mercy sat silently and watched, she knew was going to lose this battle... she does get cranky with a lack of sleep and it's no fun.

"Here you go" Newt said grabbing her hand and dragging her towards the bed
"You need sleep too" she pointed out
"I know and I will get some, over here on my chair" he sat down on a wooden chair which did not look comfortable, "why don't we just share this bed? That way I won't feel bad about taking over your belongings" the woman suggested
Newt looked shocked, he never thought Mercy would suggest that as she usually agreed with him. "Are you sure? I'm fine over here" he was nervous, he has had a crush on the girl ever since they began speaking to each other at Hogwarts.
"Yah, come on, it will be fine" she said laying down underneath the blankets, soon after she got comfortable Newt slowly crawled under the blankets as well hoping not to disturb the woman.
"Newt?"
"Yes"
"Do you ever think about where you'll be in the future?"
"Sometimes... perhaps" he said as he stared at the ceiling, you could still hear the thunder from the storm.
"Where do you see yourself?"
"I have no idea" he said truthfully
"Do you think we will still be friends?"
"Of course, do you happen to think otherwise?" The man panicked, he wasn't ready to lose her even if it didn't happen until 5 years in the future.
"Everyone always leaves, even if you decided to stay earlier on, it's only a matter of time until you leave too" she sniffled
Newt hated when she talked like this, she always did in the middle of the night when she's had time to think. He hated the fact that everyone did leave, he knew it was true as he had been one of them. Even thought he did come back and admit he was wrong, he still felt like she was mad at him but he didn't blame her.
"I won't ever leave, not again. I'll be here with you for a long time, as long as you need" he smiled as Mercy turned of to face him
"Promise?" She opened her eyes, they were red as if she had been silently crying not wanting him to find out
He pulled the woman closer towards him hoping to calm her down, he just wanted her to be happy.
"I will always be here, no matter what. You won't be able to get rid of me, never in a million years. I'll be here for you, always."

According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean.
