Mercy carried a tray of food up the stairs, trying not to fall on the way up. Carefully opening the door, her grandmother came into view silently reading on the guest bed.
'Gran?'
Alice slowly closed the book and placed it aside on the night table, she smiled waving Mercy in.
'Oh, hello dear'
'I made you breakfast'
Mercy placed the tray of food in front of her grandmother 'eggs, toast and bacon' she took a deep breath still smiling. She looked over at Mercy with a nod,
'You look just like your father'
'I'm aware'
Alice scouted closer to the headboard, fixing her posture.
'Thank you for breakfast, hun'
Mercy nodded standing up, slowly walking to the door she heard her grandmother cough loudly, almost like a choking noise. Mercy quickly turned staring at her grandmother with wide eyes,
'Are you okay?'
'Yes. Sorry, egg must of went down the wrong tube' she chuckled shaking her head slightly 'do you mind showing me around London later today? It's been ages since I've visited'
'Yeah, why not?' Mercy smiled quietly shutting the door behind her.
Walking to her old bedroom she quickly got changed and ran downstairs, jumping on the couch she smiled grabbing her book from the side table. Flipping through many chapters she stopped at "The Three Brothers", this was her sisters favourite story.
A loud crack echoes through the home as her grandmother appears beside her on the couch. She smiled staring down at book 'that was your mother's favourite book' she whispered feeling the smooth cover 'oh how I miss her'
Mercy frowned 'I miss her too'
Alice nudged her granddaughter 'she was an amazing person as was your sister'
Mercy shook her head 'she was too young, to young to go'
She nodded her head understandingly, sighing she took the book from Mercy's hand and tossed onto the coffee table. Mercy looked over at her, wondering why she would do such a thing.

'Tell me what really happened with that boy'
'What?'
'That boy, four years ago. What really happened? You seem more upset then you did then, you had a certain sparkle in your eyes that has disappeared' Alice spoke facing her granddaughter
'Well four years ago I was supposedly traveling the world and I never really wanted to believe that their all gone'
'I know it is hard, honey. I know it's hard and now you've had to deal with another person leaving, one you trusted' Alice said
'He didn't leave... I did'
'And why would you do that, I thought you liked that boy?'
'Because he didn't know what he wanted, couldn't make his mind up. Wasn't capable of making a decision and forget the past' Mercy shrugged wiping a fallen tear from her pale cheek
'Your to good for him, you need to know that' Alice smiled grabbing one of Mercy's hands, the warm embrace caused Mercy to smile. She wiped away the remainder of her fallen tears and with a deep breath she looked her grandmother in the eyes.
'I'm sorry I never visited you more'
'You were busy fighting for someone you love, I understand that'
Mercy faintly nodded as the door bell rang causing Alice to jump, she smiled quickly standing up and rushing to the window.
'It's a mail man, were you expecting something?' She asked looking back at the now empty couch. Mercy jumped up and ran to the door, swinging it open the same man who stood in the same place was impatiently waiting.
'Order for Miss Mercy Langton'
'That's me' she mumbled
He stuck out a black rose and a clip board, Mercy took the clipboard and quickly scribbled down her name. Shoving the board back into the mans hands she grabbed the dark rose and slammed the door shut. Rushing over to the kitchen, she placed the black rose next to the two red ones. Mercy checked the petals and as she suspected a small piece of parchment was shoved between to petals.

Gently taking it out she unfolded the slip of parchment, staring down at it her heart dropped.
Hearing her grandmothers footsteps slowly make their way into the kitchen she quickly folded up the parchment and hid it in a random cabinet.
'What did you receive, something nice or just mail?' Alice came stumbling into the kitchen
'Just some roses' she shrugged placing the vase back underneath the window, smiling Alice made her way over to examine the roses.
'How beautiful, who sent them? Interesting colour choices though, makes much more sense if they came all red, a pair if I had a choice'
'I don't know who sent them' shrugged Mercy once more following her grandmother, she slowly turned facing away from the flowers to Mercy.
'Who would send flowers with out-- oh, I get it' she chuckled
'Get what?'
'You clueless child! Definitely get that from your father, anyways' she grinned 'it must be from that boy!'
'Impossible, they say it gets ordered and delivered within a 24 hour period and personally at their shop down in London! Newt's probably in Canada by now, how can he order them from there?'
Alice stared at Mercy as she made her way to the other side of the room, holding open the door she yelled;
'Keep an open mind, my darling!'
Mercy frowned shouting back, 'it's been four years!'

Reincarnation: First Monster
Names. To most humans and other savory and less savory creatures, they are important–-an integral part of whom they are. To me, however, it is quite trivial, especially so when you have a strange ability to reincarnate. But that's the least of my problems, considering the life-threatening training and tribulations I have to go through as a baby. Did I also mention that my current mother is a dragon?Warning: Can get quite bloody later on and an indifference to killing and sexual content in the future

Knights of the Partition
We like to think there are no monsters. No magic, no gods, nothing waiting in the night but the stars and cold, hard science. It’s a comforting thought. It isn't true. Magic isn't common, mind you. Working forces is difficult in the Age of Man, and gods are limited in the ways they interact with the world. The great monsters of old have mostly been slain, or sealed away. But rare or not, the magic isn't gone. The great Working that protects us from the horrors of the past does not have the power to destroy such things. Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon. One of the protectors of the Partition. How did I get this job? Poor decisions, mostly.

Life is Feudal
No OP stuff, status bars, levels or skills. This story is in favour of more realistic setting in a world of humans and various monsters. "Behind the mask of the assertive, resolute facade that employs ruthless routes at any given moment, lies the frail, anxious heart that were once but a puny human. Reviled and revered by many, none would ever know my true allegiance lies within myself, merely trying to survive this mess." Just the life of a grumpy man child living in a terrible piece of shit or a desolate state in which I call an alternate historical take on medieval Europe. Living as a peasant who is forced to take up arms to defend his own kin. This story grants an insightful take on the life of people living under constant danger, from vying nobles who commit atrocities in the name of justice, eager nations and barbarians aiming to take a piece of the bountiful land and mythical divine monsters who resembles a walking catastrophe in any possible way. [If you're easily offended by alternate-history religion and cultural practices, then you shouldn't read this.]

STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic
Four thousand years before Anakin Skywalker was born, the Jedi thrived as the guardians of peace in the galaxy. The Republic, weakened by a costly war with the Mandalorians, faces now another great threat. A false Sith Empire created by two fallen Jedi, Revan and Malak, has risen from the ashes of that war. Now the Republic is on the brink of defeat to their once great hero, now turned Darth Revan. Hoping to protect the Republic at all costs, the Jedi dispatch an elite strike force to capture the Dark Lord. To the dismay of the Jedi, Revan is betrayed and killed by his apprentice Darth Malak, who proclaims himself the new Dark Lord of the Sith. Now with the entire galaxy at stake, the Jedi and the Republic must go to extreme lengths if they are to survive the seemingly endless forces the new Sith ruler commands. Only by the will of the Force, will they survive... This is a novelization of the popular video game by Bioware. One of my favorite stories within the Star Wars universe, I am putting my own little twists and style on this story in a way I could see potentially fitting into the new canon by Disney. I will be releasing new chapters periodically with the goal of trimming the story down a little bit as well. Enjoy, and of course constructive criticism always welcome, and if you like what you're reading, consider voting for my story.
