《ONESHOTS》Strangers

JEFF
Our fingers brushed against each other, and the shock of contact made us jolt from surprise as we stared at each other for a minute or two him looking away and scurrying somewhere my eyes couldn't reach.
It was a party at our Seoul concert and everybody is at the bar having a good time.
I see Mile and Apo cozying up on a couch, Barcode sipping coconut juice arguing with Ta about how much coconuts can they both consume in a month. Tong being himself sprawled at the counter bar dancing the night away with Tong making sure he does not fall on his head and crack it open.
I see Us, Nodt, Job, Build and Bass huddled at the console how did they even get that thing down here.?
While I was shuffling through the hordes of staff finding where I placed my bag I needed to check if I still had time to party for this my schedule is messy. That when you came to pass by, that lingering look on your face was gone by a second.
How you appear in a second and go by the minute.
"Bible ..." - Jeff
As I see your back being swallowed by people in the crowd. I went my way finding my duffel bag in a corner and going through the exit to call on my manager.
I was so exhausted this every day going to and from countries flying I should be grateful for all the people that wanted me to perform but it was tiring as hell and I can't even enjoy myself with my friends.
Leaning on the cold walls of the exit stairs I tried dialing for my manager confirming a few things before heading out to sack the night away.
"And this gets worse than I thought it would be" - Jeff

Muttering to myself at the deafening silence I used to have back then.
"What get's worse?"- Bible
I was startled by the voice coming from below. It was Bible walking up the stairs.
"Where'd you pop up from, you are going to give me a heart attack stop doing that"- Jeff
He chuckled until he was just in front of me one hand holding the railing of the stairs the other clutching his phone.
"Why are you here? You should be out there"- Bible
"Back at you Wichapas, what is the unholy Bible doing here?"- Jeff
"Haha, Jeff .. " - Bible
I went and sat at the end of the stairs just beside him and so did he his back on the rails facing me.
"I had to fly out early in the morning, this is tiring Bibs" - Jeff
"Sleep Jeff you need it those bags under your eyes are concerning." - Bible
"I know I look practically like a zombie now" - Jeff
He took off his jacket placed it on the ground and pulled my duffel bag onto his lap.
"Hey what're you..." - Jeff
I was dragged in between his legs my head resting partly on his stomach with the duffle bag on my back, it would look like he was hugging me while I lay in front of him.
"Ssshhhhh, a nap can be considered resting right? I thought you might need it badly now. You look like you're going to faint." - Bible
I just let him do whatever he wants and shifted my position a little bit so that I was comfortable leaning on him with my back on his chest.
" The concert tour is almost over, What are you gonna do next?"- Bible
He murmured and hummed as I felt his chin propped on my head. I did not mind as I was starting to get comfortable in this position.

"Just some stuff songs, a few gigs here and there, flying around like a madman" - Jeff
"Mmmm... I hope you rest too, you look so tired.. " - Bible
"Who is? You look just the same" - Jeff
I felt his hands wrap around me, and cozying up I felt secure. It was funny that we are here at the exit stairs in an awkward position, was it weird? No, because I find it comfortable enough to let him do stuff like this. We never talked about this but on some occasions, we would like to have telepathy finding ourselves alone in a space and being in each other's comfort.
It had become a habit during the concert tours that it was scary and I feel like I am getting used to this. I still don't know what he thinks of this.
"Mmm... Jeff.." - Bible
"What?"- Jeff
The silence was the same silence I had a few moments ago before this warmth had enveloped me. I felt his hug tighten.
"Nothing .. Just take a nap for a few seconds, don't worry no one will go here they are busy drinking their asses off" - Bible
"Did you drink? You smell .." - Jeff
"No, I spilled my drink on my jacket so I can have a reason to skip out, they thought I've had enough and let me go" - Bible
"Wow, why? did you not like the party" - Jeff
"You were not there anymore" - Bible
He muttered silently. I can feel him nuzzling my hair.
" Nap please, I'll wake you up in a moment" - Bible
With his mention of a nap, I think my body was waiting for it and I had my eyelids closing. His warmth makes is lulling me to sleep even on the cold floor of the stairs.
I would then mumble to him as I slowly doze off.
"Don't you think this is strange?"- Jeff
"Strange? No, after all, we are strangers"- Bible
Bible and his sense of humor are very strange indeed.
"Mmm... How strange can strangers get?" - Jeff

Tesla Stone and the World of Smoke and Mirrors
R0Q-T357-Alpha (callsign: Rock) is a "Core Child," an irredeemably-crippled test tube baby modified and repurposed by an advanced U.S. military project to serve as the CPU for two-thirds of America's orbital defense systems. Though no one outside of the Pentagon has ever heard of him, he protected his homeland from three ICBMs, a Pacific theatre invasion fleet, and one rogue asteroid. Now, after twenty-seven years of distinguished service from "birth," he is being honorably discharged into civilian life. The only problem is that "civilian life" isn't exactly livable for a glorified brain in a jar. How does a couple pounds of grey matter surrounded by five tons of life support systems and enough co-processing enhancements to take over the planet enjoy an early retirement when he's surrounded by overzealous politicians, corporate spies, and foreign agents after military secrets? The real world isn't that forgiving.
