"unnie, i feel like i've been betrayed by dad." ji-young started the conversation after a few seconds of silence.

"i know he has his own life to live, but he cried and was so heartbroken after my mom died. how could he do this? during the meal where he first introduced her to me, he put a bit of his food on her plate. he was totally fussing over her and saying things like she should eat more! when i was watching him do that, i felt..."

i was listening to her intently but then she started to cry.

i patted on her shoulder.

honestly, this is what i felt before and i know this feeling so much.

"it hasn't even been two years. how could his love change so quickly? you know, too, how much dad was by my mom's side at the hospital. maybe he's already forgotten her.." she added, wiping away her tears.

how would i not know?

dad is someone who would even love a cockroach.

"he just has a lot of love to share. of course, that's not always a good thing, but i don't think it's a terrible thing either." i told her.

"how could it not be bad? i have to live with him and that woman now." she sniffled.

"that's not bad. it's just uncomfortable. didn't you say that you thought she was a good person last time?"

she looked down to her feet, "yeah, but.."

"ji-young, just because dad is showing affection to another woman, doesn't mean he doesn't love your mom anymore. same goes for me, you and won-young."

"i bet dad still has feelings for my mom, too." i smiled, playfully.

"what?"

"that's just the type of person dad is. but at least dad takes responsibilities for his feelings. you have to give him credit for that. you could even say that you and i maintaining a good relationship is a testament to that."

"but i thought it didn't end well between dad and your mom?" she asked.

"hmm..but that doesn't mean they didn't love each other in the past." i stated.

"when dad said he was going to get remarried, you didn't feel betrayed or anything?"

"well, i was a bit too young to be thinking like that or having those sort of feelings. i don't have a lot of memories with him." i said, looking away. i don't want to show my real emotions to ji-young.

there's a silent gap after i said that.

"ah, wow! d-did you clean out the restaurant?! look at all this food! did hyung-boo buy all of this for you? what a guy!" ji-young laughed, ending the awkward atmosphere.

she opened the plastics and took a bite of fried chicken that jungkook bought.

i smiled looking at her. finally, her mood become better than before.

"i'm gonna eat all of this! so i know i just brought it up on the fly, but do you think hyung-boo will actually show up at the wedding tomorrow?" she asked, mouth full of food.

"um..he's a busy man. i don't think he's coming." yeah, it was too sudden, wasn't it?

"hyung-boo is so good-looking though!"

"stop calling him hyung-boo!"

-

the wedding hall is full of people and i was a bit startle when i saw jungkook in the crowd.

he was wearing a tailored dark blue suit, looking as handsome and dashing as ever, matching my dress.

i thought you were supposed to be a busy man!

"huh? hyung-" before ji-young can called him out loud like that, i covered her mouth with my hand.

"park ji-young, say 'hyung-boo' and you'll regret it. got it?" i whispered to her.

she just nodded her head, feeling scared.

i let her go and walked quickly towards jungkook.

"chaeyoung.." and before jungkook could wave at me, i immediately pulled him, following my steps.

"i need to talk to you." i said.

ugh..what do i do with this man?

when i was dragging jungkook, a woman voice suddenly approached me, "oh, chaeyoung! it's so great to see you!"

ack!

"aunt! have you been doing well?" i asked, laughing nervously while trying to let go of my hand from jungkook's grip.

i was the one who hold his hand first, but why is it in his grip now?

my hand..can you please let go of it?

"of course i have! but..who is this handsome fellow?"

huh? no use to avoid anyway.

"ah, well..you see.." but, what should i say?

"it's nice to meet you. i'm chaeyoung's boyfriend." jungkook said, bowing his body a bit out of respect.

i abruptly looked at him. what's he saying?!

"whaat? did you say boyfriend?" aunt asked, admiring the both of us.

no!!

this is bad.

"you two, come with me." she said, asking us to follow her steps.

aunt's socializing skills are by far the best out of all of dad's relatives!

"oppa, this here is chaeyoung's boyfriend."

"come over here, meet chaeyoung's husband-to-be."

"this is chaeyoung's boyfriend."

she introduced him to everyone in the family so quickly!

she already calling him my 'husband'!

"chae's husband, try eating this!" said aunt while handing him a plate of sweet cookies.

"thank you. it's quite tasty." said jungkook, munching the cookies.

"what a good healthy appetite you have! would you like a glass?" aunt then asked him, showing a bottle of wine in her hand.

"no, thank you. i need to go somewhere this afternoon."

"oh my! i hope i haven't been keeping such a busy and important person from leaving!"

"of course not. i enjoy gatherings like this. this gathering snuck up on me today, so i'll have to take a rain check. i'll set up a gathering next time. i'll happily accept a drink from you then."

this man here, very reliable huh?

"oh, oh, really?" my aunt just couldn't stop adoring him.

i walked past by her and said to jungkook, "jungkook, you're silly..haha..can we please talk?"

"hohoho...look at you. i guess you want him all to yourself. i'll let you two kids go." my aunt jokingly said.

"that's not.." i practically are pushing jungkook towards the exit, hardly from the never ending conversation.

"yes, aunt. we'll head off then." aish, this man.

"she's in a rush! looks like you'll need to set a wedding date fast!" aunt added.

i-it's too..

"yes, aunt. we'll share some good news soon." what is he even saying now?!

i'm going to be crazy!

"of course, of course. you're so reliable. i trust i'll hear from you soon, chae's husband."

"yes, aunt. i'll see you next time."

there's no way this conversation will end if i'm not dragging him out.

let's go..

-

"didn't you say you liked to stick to your schedule and plans?" i asked as soon as jungkook and i are out from the crowd inside.

"it doesn't seem like that from what i've seen. was i wrong about you?" i asked again.

he just kept silent.

"are you eating well?" jungkook suddenly asked.

"what?"

"you seem like you've lost weight. are you experiencing morning sickness?"

"are you listening to me at all? why are you acting so spontaneously?"

this is so different from him, from what i knew.

"i haven't thought about it. yes, it seems like i'm unable to stick to my schedule and plans only when it comes to you." he said, looking away from my eyes.

"what? but why?"

"hm, why is that?" he doesn't even knew the answer, how am i supposed to know?

i sighed.

"well, i can't really answer that for you."

before i could say further more, jungkook suddenly tugged me in his suit, keeping me warm from the windy weather.

"hello? can you please focus on what i'm trying to say?" i scolded him.

"talk. i'm listening." he said shortly, fixing his suit on my shoulder.

huh?

"i'll think long and hard about it from now on. why i'm unable to stick to the plan only when it comes to you. and why that doesn't seem to faze me at all." he added.

huh?

what..what's with him?

he's making my heart flutter even more today.
