What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

Gabriel Norris always did his best to be a kind man, he fed the poor and homeless, gave to charity, volunteered at animal shelters and even worked as a Red Cross medic for a living, he tryed to do his best to help even when it put him in danger. But sadly the brave and the kind ones always seem to be the first ones to go. As Gabriel's government become increasingly tyrannical and power hungry, Gabriel stages a peaceful protest against recent government practices, he is told to cease and desist or he would be jailed, he refuses. thus instead of being just being a good man Gabriel becomes a hero, a martyr. But heroism is never without it's price as Gabriel lays there slowly dying of dehydration, for the first time in all his life he prays. "Gods or Demons or whatever out there that might be in between, i have never asked anyone else for anything before, i have devoted my entire life to giving to those who had nothing and never asked anything in return, now i ask you for just one favor. Don't let this be the end of my story, just give me the chance and potential to help in some way more significant than feeding one poor soul when a million more are still starving. i don't just want to help in these small ways, i want to change the entire world for the better, just don't let this be the end... And as he lied there and the last breath wheezed through the air, and the final synapses and neurons went quite, something answered.

This is a Percy Jackson/Elderscrolls Fanfic I came up with in my free time. After writing 16 chapters I had some people DM me about co-posting it to different sites. Currently, I have it up over on Fanficiton.net and Spacebattles but as I saw this site allows fanfiction, and I use this site a lot, I decided to start posting it here as well. Feel free to enjoy it or hate it, I'm just writing to have some fun. If you're wanting to read it on either of those two sites I have the same name on both.
