"I worry about you, Henry," I told Henry the next afternoon.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I said -"

"You worry about me? That's not how it works, darling. You're far more pathetic than I am."

I frowned and pressed the phone closer to my ear. "I'm not pathetic."

"Cereal helpline..."

"Well, I don't bloody force you to talk to me, do I?"

"It's not my fault you have a cute voice!"

"Sorry, what was that?"

Henry sighed. I grinned.

"Your voice," he mumbled, "it's kind of cute. And you're okay. Sometimes. I guess."

He paused again.

"Okay, I don't guess. I know."

"Fabulous," I laughed, and this time he laughed along with me.
