Madeline's POV- July 2017

"You're coming to Arizona!"

"Yes, I'm driving down there soon" I replied.

I smiled as my best friend, Alex grinned while clapping her hands together.

"How long will you be here for?"

"Five days" I answered.

She frowned.

"I'll be back two weeks after that" I mentioned.

The frown on her face dropped a bit as she nodded.

"Will the Dodgers be in town?"

I nodded.

"So I'd meet your boyfriend"

I smiled as she wiggled her eyebrows.

"You'd have to come to a baseball game" I began saying.

"You know how much I hate sports, but I will do it because I really want to meet Cody"

She smiled.

"Your eyes literally light up when I mention him"

There was no point in denying, I enjoyed talking about Cody.

"So is Auston still not speaking to you?"

"He is not" I responded.

"Same"

He tried to twist my words around telling Alex I wanted nothing to do with anyone who associated with him. Thankfully, I talked with Alex before he got to her. She just rolled her eyes and told him to grow up. I personally hated being the reason why two siblings were ignoring each other.

"I've honestly had enough, I feel like just telling mom and making him say sorry to you"

I shook my head.

"To be honest, I don't need an apology from him especially a forced one." I admitted.

I glanced up and smiled at Mady who stepped into the kitchen. She offered me a tired smile before greeting me,

"Morning"

"Good morning" I greeted.

She mouthed a,

"Thanks"

and proceeded to take two gulps from the mug filled with coffee.

"Did Cody spend the night?"

"No, but he's on his way" I answered.

"Did Nathan finally warm up to him?"

"Yeah, Cody won him over with cartoons" I stated.

Nate wasn't allowed to do much because of the cast. It was also hot outside, so he and Noah stayed inside. He wasn't allowed to play video games because he would need his hand to play. In order to keep himself entertained he read, watched TV and colored.

"How's his hand?"

"He's getting it check when mom gets back from her vacation next week" I answered.

"You said he fractured it?"

"Yeah, his wrist is fractured" I clarified.

"Ouch"

I nodded.

"You never fractured anything, right?"

"Just dislocated" I replied.

"How much did your mom freak out?"

"She nearly didn't go on vacation" I told her.

"What made her go?"

"Cody assured her he'd spend the night" I said.

"But he didn't spend the night last night"

I glanced up as Manny walked into the kitchen.

"He didn't but we had a full house last night" I explained.

Manny filled himself up a cup of coffee before making his way over.

"Who are you talking to?"

He smiled when Alex gasped.

"Manuel!"

She waved at him as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Alexandria, it's always nice to see you"

"Manny's here for a couple of days" I informed her.

"Is he coming to Arizona?"

Manny looked at me and smiled.

"Should we tell her?"

He chuckled when she squealed.

"You're coming to Arizona!"

"You guys will finally meet in person" I said.

"After almost six years!"

Manny would be in LA until Tuesday because he was driving up North with Mel and Jon to help them move in. He'd spend five days in Northern Cali, and then would take a bus down to Southern Cali.

"When does school start?"

He would join Mady and I on our small trip to Arizona.

"Last week of August"

Manny was spending two weeks in the West Coast.

"Exciting"

He scrunched up his nose as she laughed.

"I'm going to die"

"You'll be fine" I assured him.

"So what are you all doing today?"

I looked at Manny who smiled.

"Going to a Dodger game. They play the Giants"

Alex made a face as Manny grinned.

"Is Jonathan going?"

"Yup" I answered.

"Oh that's going to be an interesting game then"

Jon was a die hard Giants fan. When we lived together, it became a rule that we could not watch the game when the Giants and Dodgers were playing each other.

"Aren't the Giants like the worst in the league at the moment?"

"Yes" I replied.

"Well then that should be fun"

I looked at Mady when she laughed.

"I'm honestly a bit terrified"

Manny shook his head at her.

"You'll be amused, trust me"

Jon was a sore loser, and the way the Dodgers were playing I'm sure we'd see defensive Jon come out. Mr. 'It's not an even year' would make an appearance.

"Where are my manners, Alex meet Madisyn" I said.

I turned my iPad as Mady leaned closer to me and waved.

"Mady, meet Alexandria" I told her.

She smiled.

"It's so nice to finally meet you! I've heard so much about you"

Alex nodded.

"Same! Are you coming to Arizona?

When Mady nodded, she grinned.

"Yay! I get to meet people! Isn't Maddy the best?"

"She's perfect! Like stunning, smart, athletic and a great cook!"

The doorbell rang, and Manny squeezed my shoulder.

"That's your boyfriend, I'll get it"

"Thank you" I said as he made his way out of the kitchen.

"I'll let you go since you're about to start cooking"

"I'll talk with you later" I told her.

"Snap lots! I want to see a sore loser Jon!"

I laughed and nodded.

"It was nice meeting you Mady!"

We both waved, and I ended the call just as Cody and Corey walked into the kitchen.

"Morning" I greeted both of them.

"Are the munchkins awake?"

"Yeah, they ate breakfast already" I told Manny.

"Did you eat already?"

I nodded at Cody who leaned in. He gave me a quick peck and kiss on the cheek.

"I did, the mix is in the fridge so breakfast should be ready in a few minutes" I said.

Manny placed the waffle maker on the counter and sighed.

"This waffle maker has such nice memories"

"And some horrible ones" I added.

"Like for my 21st birthday"

That was a nightmare.

"He nearly burned the house down trying to make a waffle" I told them.

"I nearly ruined the waffle maker"

I accepted Corey's hug and kissed his cheek.

"Thanks for breakfast"

"You can thank me after you've eaten" I stated.

Manny handed me the batter mix and placed the plate of cut fruit on the counter. Once the waffle maker was warm enough, I added some spray on oil and began making waffles. I made a total of twelve pancakes, three for each guest.

"Maddy!"

I stood up.

"I'll be back" I announced before making my way out of the kitchen.

I made my way upstairs and to Nate's room where he was trying to button his jeans.

"I got it" I told him.

He pouted a bit.

"I don't like being useless"

I buttoned his jeans for him and smiled.

"Only a few more weeks" I said.

He nodded.

"Do you want me to comb your hair?" I asked.

"I got it, thank you though. Can you tie my shoes for me though"

I nodded and got down on one knee to tie his shoes for him. once I was done, I stood up and pulled him into a hug.

"I know you like doing things on your own, but don't you dare think it's a burden to ask for help. ok?" I told him.

He nodded and I kissed his cheek.

"Love you"

I smiled and squeezed him.

"Love you too Nate" I replied.

"What about me?"

Noah walked into the room and I laughed as he joined the hug.

"There's enough love for both of you" I stated.

"Even for Cody?"

Noah shushed Nate.

"They haven't been dating that long"

He was right, but I was falling in love with Cody.
