《Remember Me》V

TORYN HUMMED TO HERSELF as she washed the last red dish in the sink. For the past week all she could think about was her new boyfriend. The naked boy at Dupree's house. She hadn't gotten his name and she should've asked, but she knew it was her boyfriend. She couldn't wait to meet him again.
"You're first encounter went well with naked boy." Trouble said, sitting on the counter top. "I can't believe we saw him naked on the first day. We should have looked at his penis."
"No," Toryn said, turning her nose up. That would have been really slutty. She was glad she behaved like a lady. "I can't wait until our second date. He was such a gentlemen on our first." Toryn said, "I can't remember what happened exactly, but I remember he told me I was pretty."
Trouble raised an eyebrow, looking at Toryn's hands which were white and wrinkled from having it under the water so long. "Okay bitch, now you really sounding crazy. When did you guys go on a date? Was it in the goddamn hallway when he told your dumb ass to knock on the door before you enter. And pretty? When did he say that?"
"Stop calling me a bitch Trouble, you know I hate that word. And he did call me pretty. He didn't mention my glasses."
"So, that doesn't mean he thinks you're pretty. It just means he didn't mention your glasses." Trouble informed. She looked around the empty kitchen, "and you need to stop being so loud. You know your grandma nosey as hell. She gonna think your talking to yourself again."
Toryn agreed, she wished other people could see Trouble. Then they would see that she was not crazy. And she didn't need to be on medication. The medication which she hadn't taken for a week straight. For the past week she hadn't slept over at Takashi's house at all and they hadn't really talked or texted much. That was what caused her to get stressed and forget about her meds. And when she was stressed, that's when Trouble came around.
Toryn knew this and knew she should take her medication right away once Trouble came, because doctors told her Trouble wasn't "real" but she really needed someone to talk to. And she hated medication anyway. A lot of patients who suffered from severe schizophrenia never really independently took their medication; because a lot of them felt like nothing was wrong with them in the first place.
Toryn's seventy-seven year old grandmother Davina, peeked her head into the kitchen and saw Toryn in a t-shirt and some sweatpants, having a full blown conversation with the dish rack. Initially she didn't hear her talking to herself, she was sitting in the living room and realized the sink had been on for a long time. They had both been eating dinner and Toryn got up to wash her plate. That was over fifteen minutes ago, so Davina was surprised to see she was still washing the same one dish.
"Trouble...can I ask you something?"
"Yeah."
"What to do when that boy asks me out on a date?"
Trouble shrugged, "Just say yes. Try and make it on the weekend though. Because you know, you have school in the morn—"
"Toryn?" Davina said. Toryn whipped her head around, the sponge and squeaky red plate in her hand. The sink was still going on full blast. "What are you doing sweetheart?"
Toryn lifted the plate. "Just washing my plate."

Davina didn't even feel like explaining to her that she'd been washing it for the last twenty minutes. Because then they would start going back and forth that she hadn't and Davina was too old and too tired for that. Instead she lightly smiled, "it's okay honey, go to bed I can wash it."
"It's okay,"
"No, no. I insist, please. Go upstairs honey."
Toryn slowly nodded her head and smiled at her. She placed the dish back in the sink and rinsed the soap off her hands as she squeezed past her grandmother and went skipping the stairs, humming. She turned on her bedroom light to her little small bedroom. She had one window that stared out into their backyard. The room was small, but she had a nice queen sized bed. The room was the same since she was six. White walls and pink carpets. Magazine posters, paintings and drawings were decorated all over her room. She even had a little multicolored disco light to light her room up sometimes if she felt like it.
"I told you she was nosey, she was just trying to see what we were talking about."
Toryn smirked, she didn't even care. She wanted to introduced naked boy to her grandma. She'd show her she wasn't weird and that she could make other friends. It was late, twelve ten at night and on a Sunday as well, so Toryn got a clean towel from her bottom draw and headed to the bathroom. She stripped and hand washed her underwear and bra, before taking a shower. She stayed in for thirty minutes then stepped out.
When she got to her room, she rubbed herself down in lotion and put her Suave deodorant on. She chose a skinny strap peach colored spaghetti tank top and a pair of panties. Toryn turned off her light and slipped into bed. It was now one o' clock as she started to drift off to sleep.
A sound made her eyes pop back open though, it sounded like something fell off her dresser. So just when she was about to close her eyes again, she felt her bed dip and a cold hand get placed on her hip. Toryn gasped and just as she was about to scream, the hand covered her mouth.
"Sssh, it's just me."
Toryn turned around to see Takashi laying behind her. She tilted her head further back to see her bedroom window wide open.
"Oh boy, now here he comes. Girl, tell him to go fuck himself. Remember how he played you in front of Flower and all her hood rats? You have a man already." Trouble informed, standing by her bedroom door.
Toryn wanted to say her name was Rose and not Flower; but she couldn't speak to Trouble when other people were around. Especially Takashi, he would get mad—as if she could help it that she had a twin only she could see.
"What are you doing here?" She mumbled, knowing he climbed through her window. It was one in the morning, Laura would kill him if she knew he snuck out the house.
"I felt like coming to see my Dork, what you mean?" He smirked, he smelled really good and the moon was hitting his waves making them look really good as well. "You haven't been talking to me for the whole week. Whassup with you?"
At first Takashi thought she got a grade she didn't like on a test or something and was mopping about it, because she was like that; but he started to realize she was going the extra mile to ignore him and he was lost on what he did.

"Nothing, I'm fine," Toryn mumbled, scooting away from him and closing her eyes. Her heart was beating so fast. He always did that to her.
"Now he wanna see you? Tell him go see Plant and her belly ring."
Toryn glared at Trouble in the dark but cut her eyes. Instead a shiver ran through her when she felt Takashi kiss the back of her neck. She tensed. He kept kissing her, his hand eventually snaking around to the front of her, where he palmed one of her small breasts over her tank top. Instantly tears clouded Toryn's eyes, but he couldn't see because her back was to him. She wasn't trying to be a crybaby, but for the first time she was uncomfortable. She didn't want Takashi to touch her.
He had made fun of her, acted like he was embarrassed by her when he was in front of other people. Now he was here at one o' clock in the morning, trying to use her to control his hormones like some sex toy. Then when he was done and they were in front of other people again; he'd act like he wasn't that close to her. It hurt and she felt really cheap and used. But Toryn couldn't find the words to tell him to stop. Not because it was feeling good. But because she'd always been a punk.
"Tell him to get off of you!" Trouble shouted.
Takashi pulled his sweater and shirt off, tossing it on the floor. He turned Toryn on her back and got between her legs, rubbing her through her panties and teasing her nipples through her tank top. Instead Toryn turned her head to the side as tears fell down her cheeks, feeling like she was being violated. And it was by her best friend. He didn't even notice because he was too busy trying to get his little solider hard.
All Toryn could picture was Rose making jokes and Takashi laughing. Laughing the hardest out of everybody.
Takashi then lifted her shirt, licking her nipples. Toryn shut her eyes tightly, remembering all the mean texts he sent. Basically leaving her to fend for herself because he wasn't ready to go. He'd never done that before and it hurt. Would it happen again? Toryn didn't realize how loud she sniffled, but it caused Takashi to immediately stop and look up at her.
"Toryn?"
She didn't answer but he sat up and so did she, quickly pulling her shirt down. She began wiping her eyes and staring off in another direction.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked, she wasn't crying thirty seconds ago so he knew it was something he did. "Toryn what's the matter?"
"I don't want you to touch me anymore." She wept.
The face Takashi made was priceless, his rich brown peanut butter skin looking flawless under the moonlight. "Why not?"
"When we were at your friend's house last time...you laughed at me...you made fun of me and laughed while they called me names...they asked if you would have sex with me and you didn't answer. You made it seem like I was too ugly for you...and when I was ready to go, you didn't want to. You left me in an uncomfortable situation...you didn't act like my friend."
Takashi stared in shock, unable to say anything. He watched the tears streaming down her face. He did realize he sent some mean texts, the evidence was still in his phone; but that day he was drunk, as far as his behavior, he didn't remember a thing that went down that day. He didn't think that's what she was upset about.
Toryn put her hand up, "Just go, please just go."
Toryn could hear slight noise coming from next door which let her know Davina was probably awake.
"Nah Tee, chill," Takashi said grabbing one of her hands in his. They were so small, delicate and soft like her personality. "You haven't said anything to me in a week and I come over here to see you and still you acting like you don't wanna chill with me."
Toryn got angry right away as she snatched her hand away from him. "No you haven't said anything to me in a week! You were the one who messed up, not me, Takashi!" Toryn shouted.
"Tell em' girl!" Trouble cosigned. Toryn had almost forgot she was here. But it was just like her to come around when things were heating up. She stood by the computer desk, biting her bottom lip.
"And no you didn't come over here to just chill with me," Toryn said putting up air quotes. "You climb through my window to wake me up at one in the morning to make out and touch all over me...but when we get in front of other people suddenly I'm nobody to you."
"Right, but he forgot that part though." Trouble said, shaking her head. "He was too busy watering that dry ass Plant with her stale jokes."
A harsh knock sounded on her bedroom door. "Toryn?!" Davina asked. She tried jiggling the knob, but the door was locked. Davina had been woken out of her sleep to hear Toryn next door. She thought she was talking to herself like earlier, but their was no way that would wake her out of her sleep. Plus she heard a male voice. Thinking it was an intruder, Davina had grabbed an old rusty coat hanger out her closet; but as she inched closer, she could hear Toryn and the person talking which made her realize Toryn knew the person.
"I'm fine grandma, please...just give me a minute." Her voice cracked, her lips trembled but she was trying to stay intact.
"A minute? Toryn open this door right now. Who is that in there with you?"
Toryn ignored Davina, turning back to Takashi. She was so hurt by him that at this point, that if they stopped speaking right now she wouldn't care anymore. Toryn knew Takashi well, so she knew he wasn't worried about her hurt feelings from last week. He was just concerned because she didn't want to fool around with him. But just how he was feeling. Rejected and embarssed for no reason is how he had her feeling last week. At least his embarrassment didn't happen in front of a crowd.
Takashi ran a hand down his face. If there ever was a reward for blowing things out of proportion, Toryn would definitely be a runner up. "That's why you're mad? I was faded as hell that day. I drank almost half a bottle of Henny we stole from Dupree's brother's room. You mad over something that went down when I was drunk? I can't even remember what happened Toryn."
"Some girl that was there asked you if you would have sex with me. You just gave her this funny look like I was too ugly for you and all of you guys started laughing."
"So you mad because I didn't say I would have sex with you in front of a bunch of people? We're best friends, we're not even attracted to each other in that way. So why you care? Or why would you want me to say I wanna have sex with you when it's not like that between us? Are you hearing yourself?"
"I'm not mad because of that. I'm mad because you were acting funny about it. If you don't wanna have sex with me, then don't. I'm not attractive enough for you in front of others, don't climb through my window to touch and kiss on me at night when no one's around then." Toryn said, as her lips trembled. "If I'm ugly in front of eight people to you, let me keep being ugly to you when we're alone."
"Right." Trouble said, clapping. Toryn was starting to get annoyed by her. She couldn't concentrate when both of them were talking at the same time.
"Wow," Takashi said shaking his head. "We're best friends so that mean I can't laugh at a joke now. I gotta kiss your sensitive ass twenty-four seven. Nobody can't look at Toryn, smile at Toryn, walk too close or too far. Because then there's an issue and I need to beat everyone ass who violates those rules. I got it, Toryn." Takashi said, saluting. He got off the bed, walking over to the floor to get his things.
Toryn was done speaking, it was obvious he couldn't see that he was wrong. "Whatever, I'm done talking to you. Nobody can ever be right with you. You can't ever just say sorry. What type of friend are you?"
"Toryn!" Davina called, "I'm gonna call the cops in two seconds if you don't open up this door young lady."
Takashi glanced at her bedroom door as he pulled his shirt over his head, then roughly picked his sweater up, fluffing it out like it had dirt on it as he then walked up to Toryn. He stood in her face, their noses nearly touching and his almond shaped eyes lowered into slits.
"The same type that stands by your side when you lose your mind in public, talking to fuckin' trees an' shit. The same type that gotta babysit you chewing up your own fucking fingers, until their raw and bleeding. The same type that still fucks with you even though you naming the voices in your head and talking to yourself."
He then zipped his sweater up and put his hood over his head. "So if you wanna base our friendship off one incident of me being drunk as hell, not even able to remember shit, then I don't know what kind of friend you are either."
The two stared each other down, Takashi's face more hard while Toryn nervously stared back, trying to be strong. Takashi walked away first, yanking open her bedroom door, startling Davina. Shocked at the male, she just stepped to the side and Takashi kept walking. Davina knew who he was, he's been to her house plenty of times; but his casualness of just being in her house took her by surprise.
"I fucking hate you Takashi!" Toryn screamed, startling both her grandma and Takashi. "I hate you so much!"
"Yeah me too." He said back, walking down the stairs.
"I can't wait until I forget about you!" Toryn shouted.
Takashi paused at the last step for a second, looking back even though he couldn't see her. Hearing her say that stung his heart a little bit, but he wouldn't let it show. "Well you already forgotten by me ma; you could go jump off a bridge for all I care." He said loud enough for her to hear, before slamming the front door closed behind him.

A blue marble floated in the unending void. On that marble, billions went about their lives, unaware that somewhere else, something had changed. Some requirement was met, and suddenly, a new type of energy saturated the universe. A mother closed her car's door and lifted a bag of groceries in an arm before vanishing into nothingness. Across the world, a teenager disappeared mid-word from a conversation with friends. In eastern America, Captain Octavius J. Asher of the US Army vanished from a mountain trail with no witnesses. People all over the Earth disappeared simultaneously. Such a thing would normally cause mass panic across the globe were it not for the fact that there wasn't a single person left on the globe to panic. Congratulations! Your universe has joined the System. Note: I wanted to read another litrpg apocalypse novel but couldn't find one. Thus, I decided to write one. The MC will be strong for a human but insignificant on a cosmic scale. No destroying worlds with a spell on chapter 25 in this novel. He will face challenges and be forced to make hard decisions. This serial now on hiatus for the time being :( Please rate and review. Constructive criticism is welcome!
