The lunch was a failure for Jungkook because Chaeyoung was very good at ignoring him and acting like he's not there. Even Namjoon can't help but feel awkward.
Being on a different campus makes it harder for Jungkook to see Chaeyoung.
He feels like everything back to the square one...back to the time when she's mad at him. Before, he knows the reason why she did that. But now he doesn't have the idea why. All he knows Sana might say something to her and Sana did hesitantly told him what she said to Chaeyoung in the cafe...somehow he wonder the actual reason why Chaeyoung angry at him.
Did she think he told Sana to say that?
Or did she felt angry because he asked her to go meet Namjoon?
Jungkook tried to wait for her walk past the Sports Centre, but only to know the program she helped with already completed. So Jungkook's eyes always trying to find Park Chaeyoung in the crowd.
And as if today finally is his lucky day when he sees a familiar blonde hair sitting at the main cafeteria eating alone. That's perfect- he thought as he sees the small table was only for two-person. Jungkook, quickly excuse himself from his friends and walk to her table.
"Found you," he said and sits on the chair across her.
Chaeyoung's eyes widen looking at the person she's trying to avoid the whole week. She becomes conscious of her surroundings... some of the students looking at her table. "Jeon, what are you doing here?"
Jungkook frowns hearing Chaeyoung calling his last name, he thought they already passed on a first-name basis.
"Of course I'm looking for you. I want to ask if I had done something hurting you again?" He asked straight forward. He knows when it comes to Park Chaeyoung, he can't beat around the bush...or else she will run away.

He could see her eyes avoiding his. He hates it tho. In the past, he understands why she does that, but now he doesn't know what he did to make her don't want to look at him.
"Did Sana said something to you? If she did-" His words stops when he sees Chaeyoung trying to get up from her chair...
In fast movement, his long legs stretched under the table to reach her chair. Jungkook hooks his ankles around the legs of her chair and pulls it that much closer to the table, caging her. The chair movement making a screeching sound and enough to make people closer to them looking at their table.
"What are you doing?" Chaeyoung glares, at his eyes.
"Good now you're looking at me."
She didn't say anything, still glaring at him before sighing and continue eating the foods from her plate. "You didn't do anything wrong," she said, eyes on her foods.
"Then why you avoiding me?"
"I'm not."
"Or did Sana said something-"
"She didn't." Chaeyoung cut him off. She knows Sana said something to her because the tall girl was jealous. But what about herself? why it irritated her so much thinking if Jungkook also likes Sana? The thought keeps bugging her and that's why she avoiding him. And the way Jungkook was persistent in trying to reach out to her make her feel even more stressed.
"Or you hate being around me? I could understand that... with what I did to you in the past-"
"Stop," she cuts him off again. "I don't want to talk about the past," her voice softens. Face still facing her food instead of the man in front.
So Jungkook puts his left arm on the table and then places his head on it, eyes look up at her, making his face intruded into her view and he smiles when he sees her eyes blinking trying to act like his face is not in her peripheral view.

She's cute. He had admitted it a long time ago. And somehow he knows why her avoiding him is a big deal to him... somehow he knows why he wanted to be on her good side... somehow he knows why he wanted to see her smile at him or look at her face every day...
"Did you feel upset when I lied about you being my girlfriend to others?" asked Jungkook. He sees a hard blush is plastered across Chaeyoung's face. "If you upset about it then I can tell everyone that-"
"I'm not upset about it," Chaeyoung cuts him off again.
Jungkook raises his eyebrows, if only she let him finish his words... I can tell everyone that the truth I'm the one who has feelings for you. But he still glads she cuts him off, because he knows she's not hating him and not upset about it. Jungkook chuckles at the thought that there's a possibility that Chaeyoung feels the same like how he felt about her.
"Why you chuckle? it's not funny." She tries to give him a hard glare but she knows she failed to do so because Jungkook's smile getting wider and it sending warmth to her whole body. Her cheeks starting to get redder.
Jungkook still chuckles. "Yes it's not funny, I just too happy." He feels giddy looking at her blushing cheeks. He hides his face in his arm..."we'd be cute together," he whispers to himself and missed how Chaeyoung's face turned terribly red.
She heard him but she hopes he didn't raise his head anytime soon, she hopes he stays like that and waits there until she finishes her food.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.

The Storytellers
Myra Kahani lives in a world of gods and prayers. People around her constantly reach out to the gods for advice and suggestions at critical times in their life. But Myra has a problem. No matter what she does, she can't talk to the gods. When Myra meets Roam, an old, enigmatic Storyteller, she finally gets some answers. She learns of the origins of the Universe, the divide between mankind and their deities, and the important role that Storytellers play in her world. As such, they have a strong basis in the myths and folklore of various cultures and religions. Join me as I try my best to integrate these stories into my own and develop the world of the Storytellers and Myra herself. This is my first attempt at any sort of longer-form fiction so helpful advice is greatly appreciated!
