"You're too slow Levi." I whisper as Levi slowly walked me down the hospital hallways.
"I'm trying to look normal." He snapped back.
"You're far from normal. At this rate, we're going to get caught."
"Fine grumpy."
"Hooray!" I cheered quietly as he started pushing the wheelchair faster and faster.
"You're such a little child." He scoffed.
"So what if I am? At least I don't have gray hairs yet."
"They're from you."
"Blah blah blah." We strolled out of the hospital.
"That was surprisingly easy."
"So what? Let's go?"
~After Walking For A Bit~
"Where did you say you were taking me again?"
"It's a surprise."
"Not until I see where we're going."
"I've planned ahead of time." Levi put a blindfold over my eyes.
"Now this is just getting creepy." I pouted.
"We're almost there."
"Ok." We strolled for a bit before he knocked on a door. "Did you take me to my old apartment?" There was no response. The door opened and a gust of wind flew in my face. "Levi, it stinks."
Jaebum opened his text message from Levi.
"He says he's sneaking (y/n) out of the hospital to get food."
"And...?" Jackson asks.
"He wants us to feed her here."
"Wait really?!?" I smile.
"Yeah, but we have to be quiet when she arrives.
~sometime later~
The dinner is ready, the lights are off, all we need now is for them to arrive.
There was a knock on the door. "Did you take me to my old apartment?" (Y/n)'s confused little voice made me feel happier than ever.
Jaebum opened the door and the first thing (y/n) said was, "Levi, it stinks." A few of us snickered.

"Levi~" she started to whine. "When I said take me somewhere to get food, I didn't mean some old rough n' tough bar, filled with guys who don't wear deodorant."
"Now that's just rude." Levi laughed. "Trust me, you'll love it here." Levi motioned Mark over to him. Together, they carried (y/n).
"LEVI WHY IS SOMEONE ELSE TOUCHING ME?!?"
"Yah! (Y/n)! Stop wiggling to much!"
"Hey! Did you just smack my head?" Everyone chuckled.
"Levi I hear voices, am I going crazy?"
"No you're not going crazy, you are crazy." Mark said.
"Wait. I know that voice." She was sat down at the table and the lights came on.
"Surprise!" Everyone cheered. Her eyes lit up and she was about to cry.
"Hey! Don't cry, it'll make everyone else cry." Mark patted her head.
"Haha ok!" She smiled brightly, and then her eyes met mine. "It's Gyeomie." She giggled when I walked up to hug her. I pulled away and patted her head.
"Welcome home." She smiled brightly.
"Thank you."
"Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss." Everyone else started to chant and it got louder. "KISS. KISS. KISS. KISS. KISS." I looked down at (y/n), she was blushing.
"N-no, we can't." She was flustered. I smirked. "Gyeomie, no." Then everyone cheered.
"KISS. KISS. KISS. KISS." I got embarrassed, my cheeks went hot.
"N-no, we can't." I mumbled out. I looked to see Yugyeom's reaction. He's smirking. He's gonna kiss me, what do I do?! "Gyeomie no."
His hand went towards my chin, grabbing it, and pulling me closer to him. He's kissing me!! Ahh (y/n), stop with those dirty thoughts!
The boys cheered loudly, Yugyeom stopped kissing me. The members ruffled his hair, others patted him on the shoulder. I swear I heard Bambam yell, 'Go get it bro.' Which caused my embarrassment to over flow.

"You guys are so cute." I looked over towards Levi. He was about to cry. "It's like I'm watching my own child grow up without me."
"You're so cheesy Levi." I giggled. "Come here." I opened my arms wide and hugged him. "Ga Yoon is thankful to you." His grip around me tightened, but released soon after. "Shall we eat?"
"Yeah!" I smiled. Levi got everyone around the table.
"Before we start eating.." we all looked at Bambam. "You two." He pointed to Yugyeom and then to me. "If you're gonna do it, find a hotel." The members started to laugh. Yugyeom threw some food at Bambam, out of embarrassment. "And use protection." He added. The members laughed hard at our reactions. I sat there, I'm blushing and I don't know how to handle this situation. I placed my hands on my lap, looking at them shake.
Sigh... it's always like this around a guy. Then I see a larger hand being placed over mine. It was Yugyeom.
"Listen." He said, gaining everyone's attention. "It's not like that."
"Right, you'd only do it if you wanted a baby." Bambam and his sassy remarks today... sigh
"C-can we eat now?" I squeaked quietly.
"What're gonna eat?" Bambam wiggled his eyebrows.
"Not what your thinking of." Yugyeom jumped in. "You can eat now (y/n)."
"Ah ok." I picked up my chopsticks and started to eat.
~After Dinner~
"I'm tired." I yawn. "Thank you for the meal." I forgot about my leg injury and stood up. Everyone freaked out.
"I didn't fall." I mumbled out. "I didn't fall!!" I happily danced. There isn't any pain!
"Congratulations (y/n)!" The boys cheered for me.
"Nothing can ruin how perfect today is!" I smiled.
Someone knocked on the door. Levi opened it and backed away, with his hands up.
"(Y/n)..." I looked at the strange man by the door.
"He's holding a gun..." I heard one of the members mumble.
"What?" I said sharply. Then it clicked. I know this voice. Isn't this... that one detective?
"What do you want?" I snarled at the criminal, who was once one of our own.
"You, obviously." He smiled like a creeper.
"Why? To make me fight for you?"
"No... not exactly." He walked closer and placed one hand on my cheek. "You know what I want." He leaned down and started to kiss me.
I can't move. I'm too scared. Wait... I looked to Levi through the corner of my eye. He mouthed something, I approved. Let's rock.

God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
