"Has anyone ever shot a gun before?" She cocked the hammer back.
"W-what does that have to do with a-anything." Jaebum rubbed Youngjae's back.
"Hey Yugyeom..." I realized he hasn't really been talking. There was no response.
"He's asleep, don't wake him up." Jaebum hushed.
"Back to your question Youngjae, just in case something happens. I need someone, who can shoot, to take over." She said calmly, eyeing her mirrors and seeming to keep mental tabs on the movements in the car.
"What would happen to you?" I ask her, terrified of what she would answer with.
"Nothing, hopefully." It went silent. Her answer sent shivers down my spine.
Something is going to happen... I have the feeling it will. My hands trembled.
"Hey... trust me, you'll be fine." I felt something warm hold my hands. "You've got your body guard." (Y/n) smiled reassuringly at me. She had a sudden reaction and clicked the Bluetooth in her ear.
I hung up.
"Anything we need to know?" Jaebum asks. She took a deep breath.
"I'm going to be completely honest with you guys." She looked into the rear view mirror. "Who's all awake? Say your names please."
"Jinyoung."
"Jaebum."
"Mark."
"How'd everyone fall asleep so fast?" I ask.
"Well I calmed Jackson and Bammie the best I could, but next thing I know... they fell asleep. Maybe the shock got to them."
"Yeah same with Youngjae."
"So you were going to be honest?" Jinyoung brings the topic back again.
"Right..." she took a deep breath. "They're not even close. Those douche bags in the car seem to be getting restless, so something will happen. If anything happens to me, Mark..." she gave me her keys. "You WILL drive everyone away, even it leaves me behind." She tells me to hand the Bluetooth to Jinyoung.

"Jinyoung, if Levi tries to contact us while crap goes down, you answer and you talk." She opens the sun visor
Inside, there was a knife strapped to it. She passes me the gun and tells me pass it to Jaebum.
"Jaebum you protect them. You're the leader. I expect the most from you."
"(Y/n)...." We all turned around to see a crying Yugyeom. He grabbed Jaebum's arm. "Nothing will happen right?"
"It's all just in case." She smiles.
"Oh..."
Someone screamed. (Y/n) looked out the window.
"What is it?" I ask.
"It seems they're out for blood." She clenched the knife tightly. "They're beating their own men." She slowly reached for the door handle.
"Don't you dare think about it." Yugyeom noticed what she was doing.
"I can't let someone get beaten without doing anything."
"These men are dangerous!" Everyone was silent. It was an argument only Yugyeom dared to debate about.
"Dangerous or not, people are people."
"People who want to hurt us."
"Yugyeom, he can be of help to us."
"How?"
"Everyone close your eyes."
"No." Jinyoung dared.
"I demand you do."
"Why would we?" Jaebum said.
"It'll all be over if you do."
"How can you promise that?" I said.
"How can you guys not trust me?"
"We do-"
"Then close your eyes."
"Fine..." we all did as we were told.
"Now count to ten and don't open your eyes, under any circumstances."
"Why?"
"Just do it, trust me. Please."
"One..." Jinyoung starts and the car door opens.

The Silver Mana - Book 1: Initiate
I used to be a healthy, young guy with a normal life - I had a career planned in professional soccer, a girlfriend, lots of hobbies, and loads of fun. Until the accident. Which changed my life. A few years later I had adjusted to my new reality, adjusted to being in a wheelchair, adjusted to having someone take care of me 24/7. And then the world changed. Old people and kids did not make it. And neither was I supposed to make it. But never count me out. If anything, I am tenacious. This new world was different. People could do magic. And there were monsters. And what about me? I had mana as well, silver mana. Which no one else seemed to have. The only problem was, I did not know what to do with it. Until I really needed to. Author's note: This is the rewrite of Silver Mana. The first bunch of chapters (until I will have caught up to level 2 of the dungeon) should be quite familiar to people that have read the original. There are some changes in content, but the story follows the original fairly closely for at least the first 150-200 pages. Most of the changes are in the writing, and some of the details of how things work. A few of the side characters get a bit more attention too. Some general comments to avoid disappointment: 1. The MC likes to swear. If you object to reading the word "fuck" at least once and usually multiple times each chapter don't read the book. "Fuck" is such a great, allencompassing word... fuck that; what the fuck?; fuck me! Fuck! one word, expressing so many nuances. And, frankly, the people I know that use fuck as a swear word.. they often use it a lot. 2. If you are looking for immediate progression, rapid advancement of the story, etc.... read another book. This one takes a bit. 3. I am NOT Pirateaba (who is writing The Wandering Inn) or anyone close to that level of productivity. If you expect to read 10k words every 3 days, or even just once a week... sorry. I've got a busy life. This is for fun, I have no patreon, paypal, anything, so I write when it is fun and however much is fun. Not more. And sometimes that turns out to be a decent amount, sometimes nothing. I have another book (Marrow) so that complicated things - basically I switch between the two whenever the muse strikes me.

The Ballad of Tears
The Shadow looked at what they did, and saw and loved, and feared. And the Shadow shivered, and the world shivered with them. And then they said:‘I will be one with what I made, but promise me, father, promise to look after this world. Let no evil touch it.’And the father gave his word to the child he loved the most.He failed. Before the dawn of time, a god gave themselves to protect this world. Their name and form are lost to history. Only the Regent remembers but the last person the Regent talked to, was the very First Vandrainor – a being more legend than legit: She rallied the forces of the continent to fight against the darkness that threatened to take over the world for the Unknown.Wonders were lost in this war. The giants are gone now, the Green Mountains fell in the wrath of the gods –But the twospirits, the Vandrainor of Old, they are still there. And as humanity’s strength weakens, they are called to the Dead Mountains, driven by mystery, prophecy even.To face a long lost foe – and answer the last question: How important are warriors – if there is no war? This is my first fiction and I'm kind of learning my way around here.Currently, I upload a new chapter every Wednesday (Around 16pm CEST).When I split a chapter into parts, there are usually more uploads a week but the new chapter will always start on the next Wednesday. (I am still playing around with the uploading rhythm, and whether to break up chapters in the first place).
