《Conquer {BLEACH}》(12).

Agito and Rue Diabolos sat in the Head Master's anteroom, waiting to be called in after the witnessing professors, medical examiners, and even the one Shinigami who was sent from Central forty-six to record the incident conferred with one another.
Rue couldn't stop wiggling in her seat, casting nervous eyes on Agito every few seconds before shifting. Agito didn't even notice. There was this haunted look in her eyes as she stared out the window as if she was having a nightmare with her eyes wide open. Agito wasn't asleep and she wasn't dreaming. Ever since waking up from her Inner World, she felt like something different was happening. What exactly, she couldn't say, all she knew was that her anger was a little more difficult to control and her bloodlust was skyrocketing like a house on fire.
Several times has she imagined murdering the poor secretary, each more creative than the last. When she went to wash the blood from under her nails, she had to fight the urge to lick the few dried drops clean. Agito never felt this out of control before. She hated it.
"Agito-kun?" Rue whispered.
"Hm?"
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know," she said cause it was true. Before they could speak more together, the sliding doors to the Headmaster's office opened and one of the school medics poked her head out.
"Agito-kun? Rue-chan? Please come in." They did as was bade, entering the Headmaster's office side-by-side. There were three professor witnesses who found Agito standing there in the midst of three wounded Academy students, one medical staff with detailed reports of the wounded students current condition, one Shinigami from Central forty-six, looking slightly bored and interested with the outcome of this event, and one Headmaster who would act as the judge for the proceedings.
"Please explain the happening between you and the three students: Fubari Osari, Musaki Jin, and Souma Nihachi," the Headmaster, an old man with some impressive eyebrows said.
Rue tried her best to explain what happened but it had a weird beginning seeing as how the twins went from one scene to the next without any transition because they were both in Jinzen. But their real interest was what happened in the fight. Rue explained the basics of what happened, not remembering well enough blow-by-blow but enough.
"It sounds to me," said the Headmaster, "Like it was a case of self defense."
"Headmaster!" cried out a professor in outrage. He raised a single hand for silence.

"However," he continued, "Even if it was a case of self defense, I cannot overlook the fact such a viciously unwarranted attack."
"Unwarranted," Agito said, her voice strange to Rue's ears, "There is no warrant to a fight. There are only strong and weak. They were weak. I made them suffer for it. There are no rules of conduct in war."
"We are not at war!" shouted the Headmaster, "Having a war mindset is inexcusable!"
It was at that moment did the office doors slid open once again revealing not only Yoruichi Shion, Heir to one of the five Noble Houses but also Ginrei Kuchiki, Head of the Kuchiki Noble House.
"What's this I hear about war?" Yoruichi said with a teasing smirk, "Agito, what did you do?"
"Agito Diabolos," the Headmaster spoke up, "Was found having to viciously injure three Academy students."
"What did the students do?"
"Admitting, the students were found having not so innocent intentions to both Agito and Rue well-being but that doesn't excuse the fact that one student was found with the vein in his mouth ripped open, one with his face torn to pieces, and one whose testicles were found outside of his body."
Every male in the room shuddered at the last portion. Yoruichi's eyes narrowed before turning to Agito.
"Well? What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Seems about right," Agito said, crossing her arms over her chest, "Can we get on with this? You've already decided the verdict."
"Oi! Defend yourself!" Yoruichi yelled before smacking her palm against the back of Agito's head.
"Yoruichi-san!" Agito barked, "I can't!"
"What do you mean you can't?! Just tell them-"
"I'm not like you," Agito snapped, forcing the other to shut up for once, "I don't have the privilege to just explain my side of things and poof, all my problems are gone. I'm a Rukongai stray mutt who just ripped out the testicles of Fubari Osari of the Osari clan. Maybe, if you had done it, they would have thanked you for your regard to their now castrated son but not me."
"Then you better apologize with a dogeza!" Yoruichi said.
"I'm not gonna apologize for something I'm not sorry for," she growled.
"Agito-kun!" Rue rebuked suddenly very scared because of their audience.
"Did you all forget who I am?" Agito said, baring her teeth, her golden eyes glittering with malice, "Did you forget where I've come from?"

It wasn't a light statement. Rue jerked away from her sister as if slapped, remembering nights too cold, days where no food was to be earned or found, times where Agito came back with everything they could ever need from dark spaces Rue learned never to question. They never told Yoruichi-sama or Kuchiki-sama the entire truth of their past life, and Rue didn't think it would help Agito's case to let them know that she's killed before.
Morality is strange like that.
"What are you talking about?" Yoruichi demanded, "Who you are is no excuse for violence, now apologize!"
And suddenly Agito's reiatsu changed right there in front of them. She burned.
"Not an excuse!" she said but with the explosion of such fiery reiatsu pouring out it felt like a scream, "A reason!"
"Agito-san," Kuchiki-sama said, unmoved by the turbulent reiatsu cause by high strung emotions, "Did you meet your zanpakuto?"
"What?!" exclaimed the professors, Headmaster, and even the Shinigami reporter.
Slowly, much too slowly, Agito's rage was leashed back up but she still felt like she was going to breathe fire it was too much out of control.
"No," she admitted with a growl, "But I went into my Inner Sanctum. I heard it screaming."
"Screaming?" asked someone but they were easily ignorable when Kuchiki-sama said, "Then I believe I found the reason of Diabolos's violent actions."
"Oh?" asked Yoruichi-sama.
"Clearly, Agito's zanpakuto is a fire type spirit, one who is most probably volatile."
"Are you saying that Agito-san's zanpakuto's personality is bleeding into her own?" asked the Headmaster.
"I do," Ginrei Kuchiki said, "It's quite common among the seated Shinigami to have some personal influence by their zanpakuto spirits. With such an abrupt awakening from Jinzen to a scene of violence, it is no wonder Agito's wrath went unchecked."
"Impossible!" shouted one of the other professors, "Jinzen is a third year technique! There is no possible way for a first year to have achieved it so soon!"
"Who taught you this technique Agito?" asked Yoruichi.
"Ukuru-sensei," she said, "I've been training under Ukuru-sensei for a while now. He's been forcing me to meditate and try Jinzen for a while."
"And this one time it worked? That's convenient," the skeptic scoffed.
"Or the truth," Agito fired back, her anger bubbling up again. Rue grabbed onto Agito hand and she latched onto her sister's stable presence. With her sister at her back, Agito was able to abate the fires of her rage much more quickly than normal.
"Can you describe it, Agito-san?" asked the Headmaster.
"That's personal," she said cause it was. No one just described Inner Sanctums to one another, there was a reason why only one person can come and go within. Only lovers and very close family members (sometimes not even then) can ask and receive a description of a person's most sacred place of their soul.
"I'm not asking for details," the Headmaster said, "Just ... something."
Agito glanced over to both Yoruichi-sama and Kuchiki-sama, trying to guess what was being asked but they didn't so much as twitch at her attention. So she told the truth.
"It was a forest," she said very carefully, "A forest on fire."
"A forest fire?" asked the skeptic.
"Everything was burning," Agito recalled, "But nothing was dead."
Instantly she knew that sentence was too much and she clammed up. That little detail wouldn't hurt her case but it still felt like she flashed everyone in the room with that tiny tidbit.
"I believe that is enough," said the Headmaster, "Agito Diabolos, you are hereby excused from all of your classes."
"Headmaster!" shouted Yoruichi in surprise. He raised a hand for silence before finishing his sentence.
"I am quite convinced that Agito Diabolos has successfully entered Jinzen and will soon meet her zanpakuto. But her reiatsu is too unstable an volatile for any regular teacher or regular class to handle. If she were to say, preform Sai in her Hado class, she will cause pain and injury to both herself and to the surrounding students. I instate now that she is to put with specialized trainers that will help her regain control of her reiatsu and her zanpakuto.
"Luckily, there is one sensei already here that fits the criteria perfectly. Tomorrow you will receive your new schedule with Ukuru-sensei seeing as how he was a eighth Company fifth seat, with a flame type zanpakuto as well. A bit more explosive but I believe Ukuru-sensei knew exactly what he was doing when he took you under his training. He was trained by Shunsui-taichou, you know?"
It was definitively a surprise to top all surprises.
Agito was learning to like them.

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
