They felt the shift before they saw it but they were used to it now. A soul was about to appear. Bright blue reiatsu formed together before a flash of light, announcing the arrival of another soul. Orphans in the street surged towards the new 'fresh meat' and stared in awe. He (the newbie was a boy right?) had navy blue hair, a little bit long but barely touched his shoulders. His eyes snapped open when they prodded his with a stick, golden eyes instantly glaring at those around him. He wore a dusty brown yukata with a white sash around his waist. Though he looked masculine, the way the boy's yukata was styled and the way he sat was a little bit weird. Almost ... Like a girl.
"Hey kid! What's your name!" called out the ring leader. The new kid's sharp eyes glared harshly at him.
"Agito. My name is Agito." he said. His voice was filled with annoyance and it sent chills up their spines. His voice was rough, harsh, like he never had anything to drink for years. He glared down at the ground before standing up. Some of the orphans gasped in surprise, Agito was about as tall as the leader who's taller than anybody their age. The leader stepped forward threateningly, feeling as if he was threatened himself by this newbie.
"My name is-"
"I don't give a damn," he cut him off. Some gasped in shock. No one has ever cut off the leader. The leader's forehead twitched and grew an anger mark.
"Don't interrupt me!" Agito pointedly ignored him and set his eyes on a girl.
"Hey, do you know anyone by the name of Rue?" The girl trembled in fear before shaking her head no. She didn't know anyone by the name of Rue.

"Ok, thanks for the info," he said before walking down the road.
"Hey! Where are you going!" called out the leader.
"To find a person named Rue!"
"Do you even know where you're going?!"
"No clue! but I'll figure it out!"
"You'll never survive out there by yourself!" Agito stopped and turned around.
"Watch me!" he challenged before turning back around and walking off in a search for this mysterious 'Rue'. As he left, three people started to follow him. Two were boys and one was the girl who Agito acknowledged.
"Hey wait! We're coming with you!"
"Get back here!" called back the leader by they didn't listen. They ran after him, away from their old lives and old ways, and starting anew with this new person.
"Hello! My name is Louri! Can we travel with you?" asked a boy with spikey reddish brown hair. His green eyes lit up as they curiously scanned Agito.
"I don't care. Do whatever you want. Where does this road go?" Louri looked ahead at the road.
"This road goes to the eighty-second District." Agito nodded and continued walking.
"Who are you looking for again?" Louri asked.
"Are you an idiot? He said it loud enough for even the brats to know the name," said the other boy. He had long black hair that just sat like a mop on top of his head. His blue eyes were at half mast, almost bored out of his head.
"I just wanted to make sure! Besides, why are you traveling with us Ryuu?" Ryuu scoffed.
"I'm not traveling with you, I just happened to be traveling on the same path as you," he retorted. Louri grinned and pounced on him.
"Yah! Ryuu-kun is coming with us!" he squealed just to annoy the other.

"Get off me!" Agito stopped to watch them, feeling slightly nostalgic about the scene. The girl ran up and bent down on her knees, catching her breath.
"Oh, Kikyo what are you doing here? Wouldn't you want to stay with Zakari?" Kikyo looked up, startled that she was addressed and blushed red at the mention of the name of the old leader. Her fingers went up to her mouth out of habit of biting her nails.
"Uh, I-I w-wanted, I-I m-m-mean...uh..."
"Are you guys coming or not?" The three turned their heads back around to see Agito already walking far ahead of them.
"Why don't you wait for us!" The group quickly ran to him, slowing down to a walk when they came up behind Agito.
"So, do you know who this Rue-san is?" asked Louri.
"No."
"Do you know what she looks like?"
"No."
"Do you even know if she's even here?" asked Ryuu.
"No."
"Gah! You're infuriating me Agito-san! All you know about this girl is her name! How are we supposed to find her just by that?" Agito stayed silent, in deep thought.
"How did you even remember a name?" asked Ryuu.
"What do you mean?"
"In Soul Society, we forget everything about our past life and start their new lives from the dirt up. So, how do you even remember Rue-chan's name?" Agito just looked up at the sky.
"I don't know." They stayed silent after that, not sure how to break the silence. Louri and Ryuu then started fighting while Kikyo tried to keep up with Agito and watch the boys that were fighting.
"Kikyo," Agito said. Kikyo looked at him startled.
"You know how to gather food from the forest right? Berries, leaves, and roots that are harmless to eat?" She nodded her head numbly. Louri and Ryuu weren't even aware of the small interactions between them. Kikyo nodded more firmly, her hands trembling up to her mouth in a nervous habit.
"Could you teach me what is out there I can eat? I'm not familiar with this type of forest." She nodded again, looking down at the ground with a cherry red blush on her cheeks. Her hand went up to her mouth and she nibbled at a nail before the hand was ripped away from her teeth. She gasped slightly at a close up look of Agito's golden predator eyes.
"You shouldn't bite your nails Kikyo-chan, it's a bad habit." Her blush intensified to tomato red. Zakari was always yelling at her not to bite her nails but now this person was nicely telling her not to. It was a big change in show of leadership skills. Zaraki was always yelling but Agito was being calm and collective. Agito stepped back and looked at the squabbling boys.
"Hey! I know you guys both have a lot of sexual tension to let out but please don't do it in front of a lady!" Kikyo turned so red, even her hands looked like a lobster. The two boys stopped in their bickering to look at Agito in aggravation.
"WE'RE NOT GAY!" All they got as a response was Agito's laugh.
