《The Mysterious Hunter (Bleach x RWBY)》X. Umm... What?

On the Way to Ozpin's Office
Ichigo: "So, where are we going?" Ichigo asks Ozpin as they navigate the halls of Beacon.
Ozpin: "To my office."
Ichigo: "Okay... Why are we going there?"
Ozpin: "In due time, Ichigo." he says mysteriously.
Ichigo (thoughts): '*sigh* He obviously won't tell me why for whatever reason, so might as well drop it for now.'
Ichigo: "Well, what were you talking about with Team RWBY?"
Ozpin: "Ah, well, Team RWBY wanted to partake in a mission that wasn't for first-year students. Since they display higher skill and drive than regular first-year students, I thought I'd let them participate anyway. I'm confident that they're skilled enough to handle a higher difficulty mission than normal first-years."
Ichigo: "And which Huntsman or Huntress went with them?" he asks out of curiosity.
Ozpin: "Dr. Oobleck." he answers.
...
...
...
Ichigo (thought): 'They could have it worse.'
Ichigo didn't hate Oobleck, but she can be a little hard to understand, not to mention she was kind of stubborn...
Flashback
Ichigo: "Umm... Professor Oobl-"
Dr. Oobleck: "It's Dr.!" she corrects.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Alright. Guess I won't tell her that she's spilling coffee on her shirt.'
(A/N Isn't female Oobleck hot?)
Back to Present
In his opinion, she was much better than Professor Port. Like with Oobleck, he's not a bad person. His lessons are just... hard to get through.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'If I'm going on a mission, please don't let it be with him.'
3rd Person POV
Winter's cut off from her thoughts when the elevator doors open and Ozpin and Ichigo walk in.
Ichigo had really no idea what to expect, so he was surprised to see someone who looked extremely similar to Weiss. Same hair color, same eye color. Really, the only differences between them was that this woman's face was slightly more filled out, she's taller, and she overall seems more developed and disciplined.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Must be a relative. Not many people have white hair. Heh, says the guy that used to have orange hair.'
Not really sure what he was doing here, he decided to stand next to the General and the Weiss look-a-like while Glynda stood next to the elevator.
Ichigo: "So why am I here, Oz?"
Glynda glared at him for the lack of respect in the classic Ichigo fashion.
Ozpin: "Due to us not anticipating another student joining Beacon, we did not have any other Huntsman or Huntress available to go with said student, which is you, Ichigo. Since that's the case, I have decided to assign you to Ms. Goodwitch. I would normally not assign her due to her... difficult teaching methods and training, but since you have displayed having skills not usual in first-year students, you are to shadow her. As for your mission, you will be patrolling the streets of Vale and stop any crimes you see or help any person in need. I would normally assign a more difficult mission befitting your skills, but since we didn't have enough missions available for students, I decided to just make one for you that was on the easier side."
Ichigo: "Just patrolling? Nothing else? Not getting something or doing a special objective?" he asked with surprise evident in his face and voice.
Ozpin: "Yes, that is all." he answers and then takes a sip of hot chocolate. "Just patrol the streets of Vale and help any people that need it."
Ichigo: "Huh. Alright then. Do we start now?" he asks while looking at Glynda.
Ozpin: "Normally, yes. However, General Ironwood and Miss Schnee would like to have a word with you. You may take the floor."
Ironwood steps out and approaches Ozpin's desk before turning back around to look at Ichigo.
Ironwood: "Thank you. Now Ichigo, I would like to ask you some questions."
Ichigo cocks an eyebrow as he looks at the General.
Ichigo: "Ask away." he says slightly cautious.
Ironwood: "First off, can you please tell us as to how you did this?"
He grabs his scroll from his pocket and shows the clip of Ichigo firing the nameless Getsuga.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'That's really coming back to bite me. WHY did I do that!? I'm such an idiot.'
Ichigo: "With Dust." he lies with his usual scowl.
Now it was time for the General to cock an eyebrow.
Ironwood: "Really?" he says with a flat tone. "Winter?"
The Weiss look-a-like takes the floor.
Winter: "I find that very unlikely. Not only did you create a massive explosion with this Dust, you obviously cannot carry a large amount on you. Although Dust is powerful, it requires a fair amount to create this large an explosion, so much so that a single person couldn't carry it, much less discharge it all at once. This means that you're either lying or you've found a way to increase the explosive power of Dust." She trails off. "Unless... there is something else that is enabling you to do this impossible feat?"
Ichigo: "Okay, wait a minute. Why are you even asking me these questions?" he asks suddenly to divert the conversation.
Ironwood: "I was hoping you would tell us how you were able to create this explosion and help us with the progress of Dust. It could help us with the development of technology." he answers professionally.
Ichigo: "Ok?"
Ironwood: "So let me ask again: how were you able to do this?"
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Shit! What the hell do I say!? I'm screwed! Come on, think! Maybe... Oh!'
Ichigo: "Sorry, but I can't say."
The good General narrows his eyes as he replies.
Ironwood: "And why is that?" he says with a bit of irritation in his voice.
Ichigo: "I was taught how by someone important. He would only teach me and no one else, so I can't just tell anyone this." he lies with no fear in his voice.
Technically, that's true. Zangetsu is important to him and would, well, could, only teach him.
Ironwood: "Do you know what I could do? You are withholding information valuable to all of humanity and its survival. It could possibly-"
Ichigo: "Do you know what would happen if I told you? If criminals were to possess the information to help them do that," he points to the video, "they would become much harder to deal with."
Ironwood: "That would never hap-"
Ichigo: "How do you know that?" he questions the general.
Ironwood: "I would only tell my most trusted associates. However, don't forget what I could do to you if you keep refusing to tell me. If you don't tell me how you use in such a way, then you will be taken by force to Atlas where we will learn how you do it."
Ichigo: "That's not going to happen." he nonchalantly responds.
Ironwood: "And why not?"
Ichigo: "Think about it for a second. You're the general for the Atlas Military in the foreign kingdom of Vale and in another school, meaning if you were to take me against my will, it could incite a war between not just two schools, but two kingdoms. This would make A LOT of negative emotions flying around drawing Grimm, not to mention I could just escape using my own technique. If I wanted to, I could let Grimm in by causing a giant hole in the city's defense. Hypothetically." He gains a slight grin. "Not that I would do that last bit, so instead of all that, how about a bet?"

This verbal takedown of Ironwood's strongarm tactics impressed Ozpin, Glynda, and surprisingly, Winter. She had never seen the general's authority turned around on him like that. She was impressed, but she still thought he was an arrogant teenager.
Ironwood: "A bet?" he says with uncertainty.
Ichigo: "A duel. How about... her vs. me." he says with a bored tone as he points to the Weiss look-a-like.
Ironwood: "A duel? And if she wins?"
Ichigo: "I'll tell you everything I know about this." He points to the scroll.
Ironwood: "And if you win?"
Ichigo: "Oh, umm... How about you just give me a bunch of lien. You also can't hound me about this. I won't use Dust while fighting, either."
Now he has incentive to win. Of course, not being hunted by the military has its own perks, but Ironwood will probably think twice before trying that now. As for the lien, a guy's gotta eat! And, of course, buy any other essentials for his dorm.
Ironwood: "...seriously? Nothing else?"
Ichigo: "That's the deal. You guys in or out?"
The General looks over to Winter.
Ironwood: "Winter?" he asks.
Winter: "Of course, sir. He is just a student after all. He shouldn't be too difficult to beat." she answers with certainty.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'And not unlike Weiss, she's pretty confident in her abilities as well. Perhaps a bit overconfident.'
Ozpin: "Interesting."
Ichigo: "Oh, right. Probably should have asked first. Oz, is it alright if we use Glynda's arena to fight?"
Ozpin: "That should be fine. Glynda?"
Glynda: "*sigh* Why do I even bother? Yes, it's alright." she says annoyed.
Ozpin: "Very interesting indeed." he says to himself.
In the Arena
Glynda: "Are the combatants ready?"
Winter unsheathes her saber with a serious expression while Ichigo takes out Zangetsu with a bored one.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Try not to go overboard.'
He looks up in the stands and sees two people. One's a huge dude and the other, a girl with black sunglasses. Ichigo merely ignores them and instead focuses on his opponent. They probably won't cause any trouble anyway.
Glynda: "Now, since we have been having problems with connecting Ichigo's Aura to my scroll, we can't display his Aura. Try not to kill him, Miss Schnee."
Ozpin raises an eyebrow at this news.
Ozpin: "Having problems?"
Glynda: "Nothing too serious. I just can't seem to find Mr. Kurosaki's Aura with my scroll. It has become rather unfortunate since I can't very well allow him to participate in any match since we can't gauge it. In this circumstance, however, I will make an exception. Are you both ready?"
The two fighters nod.
Glynda: "Ready, set, go!" she exclaims.
Winter takes the initiative, hoping to end this as soon as possible. She speeds towards him with a Glyph and tries to stab him in his stomach, only for him to merely side step. She continues her assaults as she repeatedly tries to stab him all over his body. In return, he merely tilts his body or bends to simply avoid the thrust attacks. Winter, getting tired of his dodging, raises her saber of her head and attempts to slash him across the chest. What she didn't anticipate was that as soon as she started her overhead attack, Ichigo grabbed Zangetsu and met her attack with force, making her jump back. Winter, caught off guard by this, lets Ichigo try and take the initiative. Ichigo rushes her quickly and goes for an overhead strike, somewhat mimicking her. Getting out of her minor shock, she was barely able to put her saber horizontally above her head to stop the attack.
Winter (thoughts): 'Strong!' she thinks seriously as she tries to hold her ground.
Ichigo quickly goes for two more overhead strikes, but she blocked them. Ichigo then went to cut her horizontally across the stomach, but she was successful in blocking. He decides for another strike, but sees that she was already making moves to counter the attack. She strikes his sword above him with force, forcing him to fall back, copying his counter.
Winter (thoughts): 'It seems that he is more worthy an opponent that I thought.'
Winter: "You're not bad, Mr. Kurosaki, but I advise you to surrender before you suffer the consequences of challenges me." she says with a haughty tone.
Ichigo doesn't respond. Instead, he starts swinging Zangetsu. Winter narrows her eyes while Ichigo's teachers, the general, and the spectators watch with intrigue.
In the Stands
Coco: "Damn, he must be pretty strong to be able to swing that huge sword like nothing. Maybe you should take a lesson from him, eh?"
Yatsuhashi says nothing, instead choosing to keep watching.
In the Fight
Ichigo throws Zangetsu in a straight line towards Winter, testing out his new move.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Let's see how it fares in a real fight.'
Winter quickly dodges to her right to avoid the attack and dashes forward towards her opponent. Ichigo quickly pulls on the cloth and throws his sword towards her again once he has it in his hand. Winter, having already seen the move, charges him. As it's about to hit her, she quickly parries it upwards, forcing Zangetsu in the air and leaving Ichigo defenseless. Ichigo decides to charge towards her with his right hand still on the cloth connected to Zangetsu. Winter seizes her opportunity as Ichigo rushes her. Winter slashes horizontally just as Ichigo was right in front of her. He expertly rolls to her right side, avoiding her attack.
As Ichigo's in mid-roll, he pushes on his arms, making body stand up straight and as he continues falling, he turns around just as he lands on his feet, making him face her.
Winter quickly turns around and was about to continue her assault until she saw Ichigo pulling on his cloth. She notices as she's turning that Zangetsu's still in the air. A realization hits her and she instinctively side steps to her left, barely managing to miss Ichigo's sword about to hit her. In that split second of dodging, he was already rushing towards her, with Zangetsu in hand. He hops as he charges and swings horizontally above her waist, forcing her to duck. Ichigo quickly spins in mid-air and swings horizontally again, this time below her waist. She jumps, forcing her out of her duck, and goes over Ichigo, landing behind him. As soon as he saw her jump behind him, he jumps again. As soon as he lands, he throws Zangetsu in mid-air and holds onto the strap. Winter was about to turn around and slash Ichigo, but she finds out she doesn't need to as Ichigo lands in front of her with his back turned towards her. She goes forward, about to hit Ichigo, but he jumps as soon as she's about to land the hit.
As Ichigo jumps behind her with his feint, he kicks her back, making her stumble forward. Winter quickly regains her footing and turns around. She puts up her guard once she saw Ichigo already arcing his sword to hit her. She successfully blocks, but doesn't anticipate the force behind it, forcing her back and even lifting her from the ground for a few seconds.
With the Professors
Ironwood: "Impressive." he comments, clearly impressed.
A first-year was pushing back his second-in-command. To him, this was nothing short of a miracle. No, not a miracle. It was just his skill. And perhaps experience?
Ironwood (thoughts): 'Hmm...'
Ozpin says nothing as he watches, but he was still surprised that Ichigo's skills don't only extend to Dust control.
Glynda was probably the most surprised of the trio. Sure, she didn't hate Ichigo. He did fine in class, usually listened to whatever the teachers say, and he pays attention. He should treat his teachers professionally and not so casually, though. However, he never displayed this amount of skill. She had let him participate in one match against Mr. Winchester and he clearly beat him without even using his weapon. She never anticipated this amount of skill. Although they didn't see eye to eye, she knew that Miss Schnee was no pushover. She is most definitely skilled and has experience. Hmm... Maybe Ozpin was right about Ichigo somehow being a Maiden. If this was true though, how?
In the Stands
Coco: "Damn, this is good material! Right, big guy?" she asks her teammate as she views the fight through her still recording phone.
Yastuhashi again says nothing, but he's obviously watching the match closely.
In the Fight
Winter was less than pleased. She was about to charge again until suddenly, Ichigo was in front of her. Extremely surprised, she threw a slash at him, only for him to disappear again. She then saw copies of Ichigo reappear and disappear all around her, making it impossible to find him. Of course, Winter knew of Ichigo's Semblance. Winter summons a Glyph, then summons mini Nevermores and sends them all around her where Ichigo keeps teleporting.
Ichigo merely breaks all the ice Nevermores he sees as he keeps Flash Stepping rather quickly.
Winter, getting pissed that her summons were effortlessly defeated, was about to summon again. She was interrupted when Ichigo appears behind her, grabs her head with the palm of his hand, and slams her onto the concrete very quickly. When she meets the concrete, the floor underneath her cracked a lot.
Too hard?
Ichigo: "Shit! Hey, you okay?" he says frantically.
He pulls her head out of the concrete and flips her over, checking her pulse.
Ichigo (thoughts): 'Thank God.'
Ichigo: "Can we get some help over here? Get the nurse!"
For a second, the General and Glynda didn't register what just happened. After that second, Glynda snapped out of her shock and went to find the nurse quickly.
The General took a while longer to snap out of his shock and just stared at Winter and Ichigo.
Ozpin: "Ichigo, do you need a break or to go to the nurse?" he asks calmly while sipping his mug.
Ichigo: "Um... no, I'm fine." He continues looking over Winter.
Ichigo (thoughts): '*sigh* Looks like I really went overboard with her.'
Ozpin: "Excellent. Do you mind for Glynda while she's getting the nurse? I need to talk to her for a bit before you get started on your mission."
A Little While Later
Ichigo is currently waiting for Glynda at the bottom of the elevator that leads up to Ozpin's office. After they checked in the Weiss look-a-like known as Winter at the nurse's office, they told him that should be fine. In fact, she should wake up later in the day or night. That was a relief. He had hoped to not injure her too badly, but that didn't work out. Great job, Ichigo.
Glynda's POV
Glynda: "You can't be serious Professor Ozpin!"
Ozpin: "It's the only possible explanation, if he's a Maiden, that is. If not, then he really is using Dust."
Ironwood: "I have to agree with Glynda here, Oz."
Ozpin: "Even if he isn't, it wouldn't hurt to find out. If he isn't, then that would debunk my theory of him maybe being a Maiden."
Glynda: "But- Maybe he is- What if- Then he- Oh god. Ugh. Fine!" she says exasperated.
Ichigo's POV
Ichigo hears the elevator doors open and sees Glynda walk through, done with her meeting with Ozpin.
Glynda: "Are you ready?" she asks professionally as she looks at her student.
Ichigo merely nods his head and they off to Vale.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
