《Black hearts meet Red》Chapter 4 ✔

Late in the afternoon I was reading a book when Jalal walked in the hall. His phone was pressed against his ear as he talked to someone.I sat on sofa reading when suddenly his laugh made me shoot up from my place. He hadn't notice me until then so taking the advantage I stood up slowly and tip toed away from there.
Escaping successfully from the beast, I walked to the kitchen to drink water.Just as I took the last sip Jalah called me making me almost run to where he was.
He looked angry by then, staring at his phone.
"Y..you called m..me"I said after a second.
"Yeah, go get ready we have to go somewhere."He stated not glancing my way.I nodded before going upstairs.
My grey eyes looked very dull as I filled them with kohl bringing life in them.Wrapping my white long dupatta around my head I walked down the spiral stairs.
"Stay in your room."My husband's yelling made me stop near the sofas.Marwa stood before him yet again but now the enraged wild man dragged her to her room and locked her in.His brutality made me gasp loudly, the words leaving my mouth,
"Leave her please.."The man didn't hear a word as he locked her in the room. His blazing angry eyes met mine making me look down as tears brimmed my eyes.My arm was dragged as he pulled me outside the large mansion.
I bit my lips so stop myself from making any noises as he dragged me harshly towards his vehicle.Almost throwing me in the front seat he shut the door so loudly that it made me shiver.Chills running down my spine.
My husband rounded the car before getting in.The engine roared to life as we started the journey to an unknown destination.Green fields passed by us as silence was filled in the car.I took a quick glimpse at Jalal's face only to see it red with anger.Averting my eyes outside I noticed the grey clouds decorating the vast sky.
It was going to rain..
It wasn't a very enjoyable ride but I hadn't been out of the house in about two months so this was enough. We drove through the highway making me more curious but I didn't dare ask Jalal about our destination because last time I had learned my lesson. The car came to a stop near the city's Mayor's house.I knew my husband was a close friend of the city's most undutiful man.Parking the car near the side Jalal got out not saying a word to me.I sat there alone reading all the prayers I knew.Between greens big trees and mountains it looked a little haunting with vacant roads and the darkening sky.

I sat there for about an hour until Jalal showed up with a file in his chand. We started our way back home in silence again until Jalal's phone started to ring.
Answering the call he said,
"Yeah.. Where did you keep him?"He asked.
It had started to rain lightly as Jalal continued to talk and I stared out.
"What .. How dare he..!!He doesn't know what Jalal Khan can do to him"This made me turn a little in my seat.Gulping down my dry throat, I inhaled a deep breath.Jalal was driving like a mad man now, increasing the speed as he barked in the phone.
I held onto the car seat trying not to yelp in fright. The road was already becoming slippery due to the rain and the car speed only added more to my horrors.
"Kill him.He is of no use.Shoot him now" He banged his hand on the steering wheel making me flinch back.
"Jalal slow down.."I cried out in despair as the car jumped on a speed breaker. His fury filled eyes glared at me as he stopped the car at the side.Making me shake in fear.He said something in pashto to the person on the other side before he hang up turning to me.
"You know what ?? Get down from the car right now."He stated calmly yet the vein in his forehead was popping.I stared at him in horror.
"Please.."I said not knowing that I was making futile attempts.
"I want you to reach the mansion after I have reached.Take a lift or walk but remember, know your limits or else I'll hunt you and kill you."He said as harshly as possible making my eyes widen.
Take a ride or walk ..
Knowing I had no choice as ever I stepped down the car and into the pouring rain. The car sped off leaving me in the middle of the highway.
Tears flowed down my eyes as I wrapped my eyes around myself feeling as if shelter was snatched from above my head.My mind raced as I tried to think of a way to reach back to the mansion. How could I trust someone to take a ride when the one to protect me had left me in the middle of nowhere.
I stood there under the darkening sky as my clothes were almost completely wet now.My heart was whispering dua's to ALLAH.No car seemed to pass by as I started to walk slowly along the sidewalk. My hand was holding up my dupatta to cover my face.

As if my prayers were answered I heard I voice,
"Madam.."I turned around to see the old driver that worked for Jalal Khan.My heart filled with hope as I told him everything. It occured that he lived near by and was walking to the market when he saw me.He was the most trusted man of my husband and had worked for him from a young age.
He agreed to help me pitying me silently.

I rubbed my hands together blowing my breath on them, returning them to the steering wheel. The rain outside had lowered the temperature making cold spread a little.I was just returning back to the city, craving a steaming cup of coffee after the tiring day.Soft music was playing in the car making me drive carefully on the slippery roads.
Half way through highway I saw a car parked at the side, thinking maybe they needed help I slowed the speed.I could make out two blurry figure, a woman and an old man as the vipers moved across the windshield.
I stopped my Escalade behind the white car but soon it sped off leaving me surprised. The old man waved his hand indicating me to stop.Getting down, I rounded the car as the rain welcomed me with open arms.
"Sir.. We are in need of help.My madam needs to reach the Jalal Khan mansion right away. Can you give us a ride."He explained making me move my eyes to the woman dressed in white. Her face was covered by her niqab. Her eyes were casted down as she shivered in the cold rain.
Although I should have looked away but I couldn't.Her grey eyes looked up to me filled with kohl yet with despair and helplessness.Tears dripped down her large eyes.I recognized her immediately, my soul tearing apart seeing her in this condition. In so much pain. What broke me more was when she joined her hands, pleading me.
"Please, help us.."She said softly.I didn't know whether it was the rain or tears that filled my eyes.I shook my head at her , walking back to the car I opened the back seat door for her.The old man was continuously saying thanks and praising me for my good manners yet I was very oblivious to his talks. He was seated in the front seat as he instructed me the directions.I fixed the back view mirror my charcoal eyes landing once again on Amal. She was still crying looking out.I put the heater on so that they stay warm.It was dark out not as we moved across the city. All tiredness had fallen out and jumped down some cliff as I now only worried to help her.
My eyes flickered to her once again but stilled there when I saw her fix her niqab,a bruise on the side of her lips.I tightened my hold on the steering wheel as she covered her face again.Clenching my teeth, I resisted to ask about who hurt her.
Did she recognize me ??
A sudden thought occured in my mind.Because I re-
"Please stop here."The old man said making me press the brake. He turned in his seat.
"Madam I cannot go any further, Master will know that I helped you. This gentleman will drop you."He thanked me once again instructing me to take the first turn left, leaving me in utter confusion. He stepped down and I went on with his directions.Soon a mansion came into view and she whispered.
"Please stop here."I stopped getting down to open her door only for her to flinch as she backed away on the seat.
I moved away sensing she wasn't comfortable. She got down wiping her tears. She stopped for a second.
"Thank you so much.May ALLAH bless you."And she was walking away.I sensed that I was again letting her go.
"Amal"I called after her.She turned around crying. The lights from around the mansion making her look angelic.
"Please go.."She almost begged making me stop right there.Shutting the car door I waited until she got inside safely.
