Elle's POV

Elle decided it was time she had a break from thinking about Noah. So she decided to catch a ride to school with Lee and some of his new friends. Recently in the past month or so Lee had made friends with Sam, Alex, and Trevor. They all had become sort of a group. Lee's car pulled up with Alex, Trevor, and Sam in the backseat. She smiled. The weekend felt like a year, and she was glad everything was back to normal.

"Hey hot stuff get in or we'll leave you!" Trevor shouted. Elle rolled her eyes Trevor was a major perv but he was also terrified of Noah so he could only joke about Elle's looks.

"Dude shut up didn't you hear Noaaah's back in town." Elle let out a nervous laugh as she got in the car. Alex loved to make fun of Trevor. Especially about Noah. Alex wasn't a real threat though seeing as he was very gay. Sam was a quiet guy. He said very little and when he did it usually was a very deadpan joke resulting in Elle's embarrassment. Lee and Elle had a bet going that Sam was either gay or a secret agent. The bet wasn't all that serious.

"Hey Elle now that Noah's back in town are y'all gonna have make up sex?" Trevor said moving his eyebrows up and down. Elle smiled nervously.

"I-uh no I don't think that will happen." She said as they turned into the school parking lot. She sighed. This is going to be a long week. And just as she predicted the week went slowly to a point where it was almost painful. Elle hated being at school now. She hated school work and she hated the constant over flowing memories of Noah. She sat in 7th period with ten minutes the bell when her phone buzzed. It was Noah. Ah crap.

Noah: Jason I'm home for a month or so I'll be back after I'm done here tell your boss.

Elle: what?

Noah: oh sorry that was for my friend Jason at Harvard

Elle: uh okay.

Elle hated the small giddy feeling she had when he texted her. Still even after all he did, she still couldn't help but love him. And she desperately wanted to stop. Elle was also wondering about this Jason who was he were Noah and him close friends? Who was the boss? The bell rang and she saw Lee career down the hall yelling her name laughing as Trevor and Sam chased him with a wet paint brush.

Noah's POV

Shit shit shit!! He thought. How could he be so stupid. Jason was usually his most recent contact so he never had to look at who he was texting he just knew. He'd forgotten that he had texted Elle. God fucking DAMMIT!! He punched the wall. Pain, immense pain shot through his hand. He looked at it. It was purple, it was broken. He groaned. This wasn't the first time he'd broken this hand. Sunglasses (as Noah liked to call him) was unhappy with Noah's performance so he had Jason break his hand with a baseball bat. He thanked God that Elle hadn't noticed his bruises. He looked in the mirror at the white scars and the purple splotches on his chest. He sighed. He'd been set up for his dream school. And instead he got involved with some messed up Godfather wannabe and dropped out. He closed his eyes and pictured Elle's smile, her laugh, god how he missed her. To this day he didn't know why Jason singled him out. Or why he of all people had to be their punching bag. But he knew he wanted Elle. He saw her face in his minds her cute smile. The way she acted when she was nervous. He wanted her back. He wanted to get away from all the Boston shit. But how could he. His phone buzzed.

Lee: Noah I think you need to stay away from Elle.

Noah: Who put you in charge?

Lee: Myself Noah okay you are going to break her heart again and I'll be left to watch her suffer silently.

Noah: What?

Lee: When Elle realized that you weren't going to be talking to her anymore she stayed in her room for a week. When I would call her she wouldn't answer. You don't love her you just love her body.

Noah threw his phone at the wall. He couldn't take Lee's condescending arguments right now.

Elle's POV

" I SAID LIKE IT LIKE THAT!" They all we're singing a song that Alex was obsessed with. Elle didn't know who it was by or the name but she liked it. Lee had his top up. It was raining more than usual. The clouds were almost Black it was so dark out. Lee had his headlights on and it was only 2:30. Elle sat in the front seat and listened while the boys sang. All of a sudden she saw a black SUV ramming a red light. She felt the car flip as her seatbelt constricted her she hit her head on the back of the seat and blacked out.
