《You Broke Me First》Ch15- A Little Visit

Izukus POV
Today I decided to finally visit mom after what happened. I already sent her a letter so she should already know I'm coming. Shiggy doesn't mind if I leave as long as I make sure I'm not being followed.
I put on a grey t-shirt with black jeans. I then put on a black baseball hat with a black sweater and a red face mask. I put my original red shoes on and left through the alley.
I circled around the apartment complex 4 times to make sure there isn't anyone following or that this isn't a trap. I finally went up to the apartment and knocked.
"Coming! "
An all too familiar voice rang. I smiled at her sweet and soft voice. The door opened and she stood frozen for a moment. She looked behind me and then moved to the side to let me in. as soon as she closed the door she embraced me in her arms with small sobs.
I hugged back tightly.
"I missed you mom. "
I say. She nods and pulls back with teary eyes.
"I missed you too, sweety. "
I wiped her tears and took off my mask and hat. I gently pulled her down to sit with me on the couch.
"Where were you? I was so worried. Your teacher called and told me about everything. I thought you were gone for good but then I got that letter and-"
"Mom. It's ok. I'm right here. "
I interrupt. Now you know where my mumbling came from. She smiled and pulled me into another hug.
"You're always ok, sweety."
She mumbled. We pulled away again and she stood up.
"How about some warm milk or water?"
She asked. I smiled.
"Milk and cookies, please. "
She smiled and left for the kitchen. I stood and walked to the hallway and looked at the pictures on the wall. There was some of me and Kacchan when we were little, some of me and mom, and some of mom and aunty Mitsuki. My dad wasn't here.

I smiled at the picture of where I fell and Kacchan was trying to help me up. I chuckled and went down the hall and into my room. I haven't been in here since that day Kirishima took me to the hospital. My bed was still messed up and there were dirty clothes on the ground.
I sat on my bed and sighed.
'Why did it have to be like this? '
I heard the front door slam open causing me to jump. I heard voices and footsteps coming toward my room. I stood and peeked through the door. There stood a buffed-up All Might, Midnight, and some cop with a dog head. I groaned in annoyance.
'Mom really sold me out, '
'She's just worried...'
I lightly closed the door and locked it. I pushed my dresser in front of it. I looked around panicking and my eyes landed on my desk chair. I lifted it and threw my chair at the window. The sound of glass breaking.
"Hurry! He's going out the window!"
I jumped into the closet and hid behind some blankets and clothes. I heard the door burst open.
"Damnit."
I heard them leave and go into the living room. I sighed and got out of the closet. I peeked out the window and saw no one. I climbed out and started running towards the city.
'Nothing ever goes right for me. '

Dimensional Originator
Adam is having a terrible time. To start the day off he died in a car accident. And that isn't even the most painful thing that happened to him. That would be merging with a strange crystal. After that he ended up stuck in an endless black void. He does eventually get rescued. But quickly realizes his soul has been put in the body of a fallen noble and his fate is to be little more than a breeding slave for the cultivation clan that purchased him. To top it all off his new body had been bedridden for weeks and he can barely get out of bed. Not everything is terrible though. The crystal he merged with is called a dimensional originator. Using life and death energy he can create miniature universes. Given enough energy and time he could even create an entire universe. For a moment Adam thought things were looking up. Too bad the author finds things going horribly wrong far more entertaining. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it as somewhere between PG-13 and R for violence, gore, and nudity.

On the Other Side
Sappers lead the way. It was a slogan Jake had heard a million times, but he never thought it would apply to leading the way into another world. Stuck in a new universe with new rules that resemble an RPG, can this former combat engineer with poor social skills survive or even better, lead his fellow survivors to thrive? This was written contemporaneously with Now That's Entertainment, with different characters and mechanics. I've decided to post both in hopes of comparing how they do. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Post does contain harsh language, realistic depictions of violence,

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
