Sonic Pov:

Last thing I was able to recall was when I was running across the water, the waves were too strong and I lost consciousness.

I opened my eyes, my vision was blurry, I was coughing out water and then I fully regained my consciousness. I was on the correct island! Either by luck or who knows, maybe it might've been the exact opposite.

I stood up and began walking towards the Labyrinth

Cut to the Labyrinth with Knuckles and Robotnik

They were being led by some of Robotnik's drones which were used to avoid traps

Robotnik and Knuckles quickly ran avoiding arrows which were flying out of walls, a wall of spears appears and destroys the leading drones

Robotnik and Knuckles then turn down a side path and then jump down. They both hug the opposite walls to avoid getting crushed by a spikeball, which crushed the rest of the tailing drones.

They then depart from the walls and begin running to avoid the spikeball

Robotnik: -while running- "I don't want to die like this! It's derivative!"

They look up ahead only to see a sliding door about to close

Robotnik: "Make room for daddy!"

Knuckles then quickly runs towards the door and holds it open long enough for Robotnik to slide under. Knuckles then dives under the door to the other side with Robotnik.

Robotnik counts their legs

Robotnik: "Two and two. Great! We're still bipedal, more or less.."

Robotnik and Knuckles then stand up for a moment, and look around

Robotnik: "Fire in the hole!"

Robotnik and Knuckles quickly dive down avoiding a flame thrower

Cut to Sonic

We see Sonic entering the Labyrinth, which seemed painful since he practically fell down a waterfall

Sonic: "My pelvis... Okay, secret temple, let's see what you got."

Sonic then starts running through the Labyrinth

Traps starts being activated whilst he is running

Sonic: "No, no, NO!"

He slides under a flame thrower and luckily makes it out alive, and looks both left and right and assumes he's safe

Sonic: "Haha yes!"

And then out of nowhere a wall of spikes starts speeding towards him

Sonic: "AAH!"

We then cut to Knuckles punching through a doorway, which follows up with him and Robotnik walking through it

Robotnik's Glove: "You have arrived at your destination."

Robotnik: "Wow that really opened up the space. I can't even picture it with an impenetrable wall anymore. And the rubble is always a nice touch.."

Robotnik and Knuckles then turn to see a stairway leading up to the Master Emerald, which is being held up in the sky by a stream of green light beaming into the sky

Knuckles: "At last. The Master Emerald."

Robotnik: "Ultimate power."

Knuckles: "Soon order will be restored. All because of what we have done together."

Robotnik: "Such a lovely sentiment, Knuckles. I think I feel a single tear forming. Sadly... You're as useful to me now as a backstage pass to Limp Bizkit."

Robotnik's glove then starts emitting electricity which Robotnik intends on tasing Knuckles

But before he could tase Knuckles they both hear screaming and crashes from above them. Suddenly, Sonic crashes through the ceiling with a spiked wrecking ball behind him

Sonic: "Nailed it."

He then stands up

Robotnik: "This guy is always trying to ruin a bad thing!"

Sonic: "You guys are here, too? Took the long way, huh?"

Knuckles: "Is everything a joke to you? Why must you constantly interfere with my destiny?"

Sonic: "Because my destiny is to protect my friends and family."

Robotnik: "You have friends? Anyways, I think I just threw up in my mouth."

Sonic: "And if you want that Emerald, you're gonna have to go through me."

As Sonic talks, his eyes begin glowing blue, showing that he is building up chaos energy. Sonic then looks intimidating, but quickly runs the other way and dashes up the stairway.

Meanwhile we see Knuckles building up his chaos energy and then he quickly dashes up towards a wall in front of Sonic. Sonic notices and leaps towards the wall across Knuckles.

Sonic and Knuckles then leap towards each other mid-air and starts punching and kicking each other

Robotnik: "The echinda's not taking any prisoners today! Sonic has heart, but will he lose the 'quill' to live!"

Sonic: "I don't want to fight you, but you're not giving me much choice!"

Sonic then leaps towards Knuckles, but Knuckles then punches Sonic into a waterfall, with water being poured out of an owl carving

Knuckles: "Too easy. Let's do this."

Knuckles then starts to walk up the stairway, towards the Master Emerald, only to be cut off by Sonic who slices through the stairway and makes Knuckles fall backwards. Sonic then quickly runs up towards a corner in the temple above Knuckles.

He then quickly jumps down with his iconic spin-dash and starts pounding knuckles into the ground and rubble of the stairway.

Sonic then jumps out in victory thinking he won, but then Knuckles quickly leaps out of the broken stairway area and rapidly starts throwing punches at Sonic, only for Sonic to quickly dodge every hit.

Knuckles: -while trying to punch Sonic- "Why - don't- you - stand still, and DIE WITH HONOR!?"

Sonic: -Sarcasticly- "Let me think about it. Okay, I thought about it and I pass."

Eventually, Knuckles hits Sonic so hard that he gets sent flying outside the room entrance. Meanwhile, Robotnik is quietly makes it towards the Emerald

Robotnik: "Hi there, beautiful. You're the real deal, aren't you? Where have you been all my life?"

Robotnik starts hovering his hands around the Emerald

Sonic then regains cautiousness and looks to see Knuckles holding a massive chunk of stone in his hands

Knuckles: "Say goodbye, hedgehog."

Sonic then looks down and sees that Robotnik is about to get the Master Emerald

Sonic: "Knuckles, stop! Robotnik's stealing the Emerald!"

Knuckles: "What kind of fool do you take me for?"

Sonic: "Just look!"

He a fool he still looked lmao

Knuckles then turns around and sees Robotnik about to steal the Emerald.

Robotnik: "Mine!"

Knuckles: -to Robotnik- "Wait! That wasn't the deal!"

Knuckles puts down the rock and Sonic stands up, he's all beaten up and is holding his right arm

Robotnik: "You poor naive creature. It's not your fault. A more advanced intellect would've seen this this move coming miles away... Or 1.6 Kilometers."

Knuckles: "But I trusted you! You were my friend!"

Robotnik: -Laughs a bit- "I'm sorry. That just hit me funny. Let this be my final lesson to you, you dim-witted celestial skin tag. Friends...Are open, honest and vulnerable with each other. Which means x squared times the hypotenuse of y squared, divided by the absolute value of friendship, equals... Dookie, sort of like Sonic's brother!"

Sonic then exchanges that response with a mad look while gritting his teeth

Robotnik then makes contact with the Master Emerald, it glows an extremely bright green and sends a shockwave out at Knuckles and Sonic, sending them flying backwards. The light dims down and reveals Robotnik holding the Master Emerald above his head, his red suit is now black with green outlines.

Robotnik: -distorted but human- "Chaos... Is power!"

Robotnik's voice then became distorted as he teleported out of the temple, then the entire Labyrinth starts shaking, crumbling, and being flooded with water.

Sonic: "Let's get out of here!"

Sonic then quickly made a run for it. However, Knuckles gets stuck under a column. The water completely covered him as he accepted his faith and loss consciousness

Sonic: "Knuckles!"

But nobody answered

Sonic: -looking at the water- "Water, again? C'mon!"

Sonic jumps into the water. He tried to move the column, but it is too heavy. He breathes in a huge bubble to restrain from breathing the water.

Knuckles then starts to regain consciousness and sees Sonic trying to pull the column up. Holding his breath, Sonic motions him that they need to push this column off together.

Sonic then counts down to three with his fingers, and together they move the column. With Knuckles free, he swims up to the surface.

Sonic Pov:

I tried to speak with my breath held in, but my air bubbles started to exhale out of my mouth.

I tried to swim, but I only sunk. I struggles to hold in my breath and made a muffles cry for help

Knuckles left me

I slowly began blacking out due to the lack of oxygen

All I could think of was my brother and Tails.

I hated water...

Y/n Pov:

My vision went bright yellow again, I saw the majestic deer. This normally happens when something wild is bouta go down.

I regained consciousness to the real world and was met with Tails' adorable smile

Tails: "Hop on Y/n! This seems like it'll be easy to drive. I finished adding some modifications to suit me! I call it the Tornado!"

He then moves out of the way to reveal a red airplane

Y/n: "Heh good job Tails!"

Tails: "Thanks!"

They were both met with an awkward silence after that and just began blushing

Tails: "A-anyways c'mon we should get going."
