Tails' POV

I woke up the next morning by my phone. I groaned in annoyance and got really tired of hearing my phone buzzing and ringing.

"Ok ok! I'm up.." I mumbled to myself as I stumbled out of bed to answer the phone. Which were across the room. I don't even know why I put it there in the first place...

"Hello..?" I answered the phone with a really sleepy voice. The one who called must think I am drunk or something.

"Hi Tails!!" A familiar female voice said with cheer.

"Oh... Hi Amy, What's up?" I said as a yawn escaped my mouth. "Oh nothing much... Where is my Sonikku??" She asked with such a sweet voice that I almost threw up.

I am still tired of that Amy uses that name on Sonic. She knows it annoys him. "I don't know Amy... I haven't seen him since yesterday" I answered her and I got some clothes out of my closet. "Oh... well see ya later then!" She said first with disappointment and then with cheer. Then she hung up.

I sighed and laid my phone on my bed-side table. I started putting my clothes on."So much for wondering where Sonic is..." I mumbled to myself and slopped down the stairs with a yawn. Amy already woke me up, so why not just start working..

Sonic's POV

I streched out and let out a big yawn. I then sat up and looked around at my surroundings, realizing that I fell asleep in the forest. "Ops... I must have thinked so much about Tails that I got tired. Hehe.. oh well" I talked to myself and just leaned down and relaxed in the cool grass.

I didn't relax for long though, because I soon heard a really familiar girlish voice.

"Oh Sonic! Are you around?!" I heard Amy shout with a sugar sweet tone.

'Damn it! I better get out of here!'

I thought to myself and jumped up on my feet and ran away before she could notice I was even here.

While I were on my way as far away from Amy as possible, I suddenly felt a raindrop on my nose. I looked up and saw that the rain was on its way. 'Really... I hate the rain' My ears dropped as I thought to myself.

'Maybe I can see if Tails is home?' I smiled to myself and changed directions fast and made my way through the streets and forests towards Tails' house.

Tails' POV

I have been in my workshop since the morning and have been trying to fix up the Tornado. "There" I said as I wiped the sweat from my forehead away "Up and running fine. Again... Ok T-pup, you're next to-" I was interrupted by the doorbell.

'Huh? Who could that be?' I thought as I wiped my hands free of oil. I then made my way over to the frontdoor.

I opened it and looked up to see a royal blue hedgehog. Soaking wet.

"S...s..Sonic!" I managed to stutter out. I also blushed a little.

"H-Hey bud. Do you mind if I come in?" Sonic asked in ina shaky voice. Poor Sonic, he must be freezing cold!

"No of course not!" I said with a smile and moved to the side to let the wet hedgehog in.

Sonic then shook his body so all the water landed all places, including me.

"Hey!" I said with an annoyed look and crossed my arms while tapping my foot.

"Oops... Sorry" Sonic chuckled apologeticly and rubbed the back of his neck. I only sighed and walked to the bathroom and got a dry towel to dry myself off.

"It's ok Sonic. I know you didn't mean it" I said after I tossed the towel away.

Sonic smiled and then looked out of the window. It was raining heavy. I could hear the raindrops drumming on the roof outside. "Seems like it's going to rain for awhile. Do you mind if I stay until the rain cools down?" Sonic asked as he pointed towards the window and smiled shy. "S-s- sure! That'll be great" I smiled nervous and I felt my cheeks heat up a little. The awkward silence didn't last long as a lightning crashed outside. "Aaah!!" I screamed and ran automatically towards Sonic, hugging him tight.

Sonic looked really shocked at first because he didn't move, but he then started to pet my back and sat slowly down on the couch. "Shh... It's ok Tails. It's only thunder" He said in a really relaxing tone. It seemed to help me because I soon calmed down. Slowly, but surely.

"I-I am scared of thunder and l-lightning..." I shook in fear as Sonic held me close. His hand moved from my back and up to my head, stroking his fingers through my bangs softly. Which somehow made me purr.

"It's ok bud. I'm here" Sonic told me and I started to feel butterflies in my belly. They were flying wild and I also felt my cheeks slowly heat up.

Sonic picked my body carefully up on his lap and kept stroking my bangs.

Another lightning crashed outside and I somehow started to squeak like I am a kitsune again.

I started to curl myself into a ball of fur on Sonic's lap. He didn't seem to mind, so I just stayed there, shaking of fear. I felt his hand on my back, stroking through my fur slowly and it gave me goosebumps. I shivered a little by his touch and I heard a soft chuckle come from him.

"Sonic?.." I asked after a minute silence. "Yeah?" He looked at me with a smile. "Thank you.." I smiled softly as I yawned softly. Letting the sleep take over me.

Sonic blushed lightly when I said that. He then leaned back on the couch and soon fell asleep as well.

In my dreamworld, I was having a dream about me and Sonic. Sitting on a flower feild just relaxing and holding hands. Wondering if this will ever happen. I hope so. Because I want Sonic to be more than a brother to me.
