"It's my turn to plan a date." Harry said as they met up outside of the school on Monday morning.
Louis had stayed for most of the day yesterday. They had showered together, watch movies, ordered pizza, and made out, helping each other get off with a hand job. It had been a perfect Sunday.
"I'm looking forward to it!" Louis smiled. He looked around to make sure that no one was around before he got up on his toes to kiss Harry. They shared a quick kiss before they headed inside.
The day went by fast. Harry's mind was a bit occupied, trying to come up with the perfect date. He decided to ask for advice and turned to the boys, making a four-way Skype call as soon as he got home.
"Hi Harry, missed us already? We said goodbye like an hour ago." Liam teased.
"I need your help guys! I told Louis that I would take him out on a date but I have no idea where to take him." Harry sighed, feeling a bit stressed out.
"What kind of date?" Zayn asked.
"A great one hopefully." Harry answered.
"I'm sure it will be no matter what you do. What I meant was, do you want it to be fun, romantic, or casual?" Zayn asked.
"All three?" Harry answered with a sheepish smile.
"Setting the bar high, I see? Okay, guys! Brainstorm!" Zayn replied.
"Take him bowling!" Liam suggested.
"Dinner and a movie!" Niall shouted.
"Bowling is fun but not particularly romantic. Dinner we have already done thanks to you Niall and we went to the cinema last Wednesday." Harry answered.
"Air balloon ride?" Zayn suggested.
"That might be a bit too much." Harry chuckled.

"Couples massage?" Niall threw out with a grin.
"Too soon. We're not even a couple yet." Harry chuckled.
"A concert?" Liam asked.
Harry thought about it.
"That would be kind of cool but I don't really know what Louis listens to. That has to be something we can do later if we...you know."
"Take him to a football game? Doncaster Rovers are playing on Saturday." Liam suggested.
"That's...brilliant! Yes! How do I get tickets?" Harry asked excitedly.
Liam sent him a link and he immediately purchased two tickets.
"Thanks, guys! You're the best!" He smiled.
"Happy to help!" Niall answered.
They ended their Skype meeting and Harry picked up his phone and called Louis.
"Hi Lou, how are you?" He asked as soon as Louis answered.
"I'm good. You?" Louis asked.
"I'm fine. So, wanna go on a date on Saturday?" Harry asked.
"Do I have to wait that long to see you after work? Absolutely. Where are you taking me?" Louis questioned?
"That's a surprise and no, we can hang out whenever you want to. What are you doing now?" Harry asked.
"Well, I was trying to make dinner. It didn't really work out as I intended to." Louis chuckled.
"Poor Lou. I haven't made dinner yet. Wanna come over?" Harry suggested.
"Sure, I'll be there soon. See you." Louis answered and they hung up.
Harry rushed to the bathroom to make sure he looked okay. He changed his shirt, brushed his teeth, and put on some cologne before he headed to the kitchen. He hadn't really planned what to make for dinner and he opened the fridge for inspiration. He decided to make pasta and took out some tomatoes, spinach, red peppers, garlic, and onions. He found some mushrooms but put them back when he remembered that Louis hated mushrooms. Instead, he looked in the freezer and found some mince. He put the package in the microwave to defrost. He filled a pan with water and put it on the stove. There was a knock on the front door and he ran to open the door. On the other side of the door, a smiling Louis greeted him. He gave him a hug and a peck on the lips and invited him inside.

"I have just started with dinner. Come on, you can help me out."
Louis looked skeptical but he ended up chopping vegetables and they had a great evening together. It became a recurring thing and they spent every day together after work, eating, laughing and talking and making out, advancing in that field without taking it all the way.
When Saturday arrived Harry was excited. He told Louis that he would pick him up at three. It was finally time to reveal where they were going. Louis jumped up and down in excitement.
"You're kidding me? Best date ever!"
He smothered Harry in kisses and Harry giggled and tried to get away. They held hands to the car and Harry drive them to the stadium. Football wasn't one of his interests really but seeing Louis so happy and excited was worth it. He got into the game as well, thanks to Louis. They bought hamburgers and popcorn and had a great day together. Rovers won and Louis was over the moon happy.
"Thanks, Harry. This was awesome!" He smiled on their way back to Louis's place.
"I had fun too." Harry beamed.
That night they went all the way and Louis made love to Harry, whispering sweet words in his ear, making him see stars. When they were laying in each other's arms afterward Harry knew that he was falling for his high school crush. He had never felt like this about anyone before. He had been in relationships in the past but he had never fallen this fast or this hard for someone. It was exhilarating and a bit scary at the same time. But it seemed like Louis was on the same page. He really hoped that he was. He didn't know what he would do if he wasn't, but it was too early for that sort of conversation. He didn't want to scare him off. So for now he just held him close and kept his thoughts to himself.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.

(She feels awful about it BTW) They must rush about the unraveling universe saving (or judging) worlds as the end of all things is bearing down upon them at the speed of light, so they have a bit of time but really can't mess about. Along the way they will encounter Lovecraftian horrors, divine ex-girlfriends, surly AI's and a host of other hassles. Enjoy such delights as the complete destruction of the universe, a children's "Christmas pageant" except where "the greatest story ever told" involves an eldritch horror from another universe, and an innocent misunderstanding concerning the exact definition of a "red dwarf". Existential dread! Lovecraftian comedy! It's as much madness as can be shoved into a single work and still remotely make sense! If you enjoy completely off the hook lunacy, this one is for you!
