《The blonde and the brunette》1: Scott

I was happy. I was doing better. I felt better. I had no more problems. Because I was happy. I had someone who I thought was my forever friend, my soulmate, and my everything. But I was wrong. All wrong. I shouldn't have fallen in love. He abused me. That... that man. He made me do things I shouldn't have done. He did the unspeakable. He hurt me. Mentally and physically. I needed help. But no one was there for me. No one liked me. No one likes me at all. My issues have gotten worse. They have gotten to the point where I don't talk, don't speak, don't make eye contact, and don't need to make new friends. They won't like me anyway. Travis ruined me. You will never get to see the old happy Mitch. He's gone. I'm gone... oh no... it's happening again...
Every time I talk about t-this... I start panicking... a-and I feel... I feel like I'm going CraZy, and I cANt TaKE this anymore.
By the way... did I mention, Travis put me in this big hospital. He said it's where I belong. He said I was crazy...
I'm not crazy.
I just need help.
Help because of Travis.
This is all his fault.
All... Travis...
calm down Mitch... don't go crazy again...
T-TrAvIs diD tHiS to me...
~~~
I walk past each and every room, checking on the patients, making sure they are okay. Mitch's room is at the very end of the hall.
I walk towards his room and knock gently on his door.
I hear little mumbles and hums coming from him. But as soon as I open the door, he looks down and stops humming.
"Mitch? You ready for bed?" I ask.
He says nothing, which isn't new.
"Here, this is your soft, cuddly blanket. I want you to try to get some rest, okay? And maybe think about talking to me tomorrow?" I ask again.
Again, he says nothing and is still staring at the ground.
"Goodnight, Mitch. See you tomorrow." I say, before exiting his room, and locking the door behind me.
All the rooms had video cameras and radios inside of the room, so we could hear and see if the patients needed help.
I sometimes found myself watching Mitch. He seems normal when he is around me.
I wonder if I could help.
I wonder if tomorrow he will talk to me.
I wonder what goes on in his mind.
I wonder if he has feelings for anyone.
~~~
I wake up in the same spot I fell asleep. I didn't move much, that was rare. I normally always move around when I sleep.
I get up and put a new outfit on and use the bathroom.
I walk back out and see that tall blonde man standing outside of my door, unlocking it.
As the door opens, I quickly sit at he end of my bed and look down. I don't want to make eye contact with him. I don't want to speak to him.
"Good Morning, Mitch. How are you?" He says.
Why does he ask me questions if he knows I won't answer?
"Hey..." he mumbles. "I'll tell you a secret if you want. This has to stay between you and I though." He says, as his voice gets quieter.
He's trying to make me look at him.
Don't do it, Mitch.
Do it.
Don't do it, Mitch.
Do it.
Don't do it, Mitch.
DO IT.
I look up at him and make eye contact.
I can't look away. His eyes. His hair. His smile.
Woah...
MITCH!! Don't fall in love with him.
Love is bad... you don't want to be abused again.
"You did it! You looked at me." He says with a big smile, showing his pearly white teeth.

Just... just talk to him Mitch...
He is here to help, right?
"I guess I did, didn't I?" I said, almost scaring him with my voice.
"Your voice!! It's beautiful, you should use it more!!" He says.
That made me happy.
He made me happy.
Oh my gosh!!
Im happy!!
"What's going through you mind, right now?" He asks.
"Happy. You. You made me happy." I say.
He smiles.
"That's good. Now, you want to know the secret?" He asks.
I nod.
"Okay. Listen, if you talk to me, I'll help you. It won't be hard like the other workers make it. I'll make it fun. And I herd you like to sing. Well, so do I. Maybe we could sing together sometime." He says.
I smile.
"Mhmm." I say.
"Alright, I'll be right back. I have to go check on room 115." He says, getting up.
"Wait..." I say.
What am I doing?!
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"Scott, Scott Hoying." He says.
"I like it. Scotty." I say.
He smiles.
I will call him, Scotty.

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. "Out of 2 million people living in this city, why are we the chosen ones?" As if on cue, the eerie laughter of children could be heard above us. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all. More than half of the initial participants had fallen and the building became more crowded as the result. There were now more ghosts than the living and each step was filled with danger from the unknown. Either we solved all the questions now or we would become another addition to the ghost camp. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was one thing Novita found out after she accepted an invitation to a suspicious event from a seemingly legal company. Crowded didn't exactly mean safe. As more and more variables were added to the dangerous ritual, the higher the risk of death. At the same time, the higher the risk was, the better the rewards for it. But in the end, was it worth it? Note : This series was posted on scribblehub.com under the same name. City of Roses
