《do you》viii

before she can even grab the doorknob, the door opened revealing her roommate, wearing a white gucci-printed shirt and denim shorts. a pair of cold eyes and warm ones stared at each other. lisa felt it again, the goosebumps whenever she's meeting the eyes of jennie kim. only jennie kim.
jennie looked away first, a faint tint of red painted on her cheeks yet not so cisible for the other girl to see.
"jennie, are you going somewhere?" lisa asked.
"well what do you think?" jennie responded coldly, rolling her eyes.
lisa laughed awkwardly at her own stupidity. "uh, well, can i join you?" lisa asked, hoping that jennie won't disagree.
"you can tag along." jennie said and sighed. lisa's lips stretched into a wide smile. "yey!"
"don't smile too much. you'll look like a clown." jennie said.
once the lift opened, they went inside, silence surrounding them. no one dared to speak since they don't even have a topic to talk about.
jennie was busy listening songs from her phone while lisa just stood there and waited for the lift to open.
once the lift open, lisa trailed behind jennie. lisa's phone rang. she took her phone out of her pocket and saw some notifications from her media accounts. before she could even unlock her phone, jennie took her hand.
"let's go!"

lisa stood in front of the supermarket, boredom filling in her. she didn't expect them to go here. she expected them to go out in the mall or in other places yet here. even jennie's outfit doesn't fit for grocery shopping!
"what are we doing here?" lisa asked as she yawned out of boredom.
jennie didn't reply. she was busy looking for something to buy, not paying any attention to lisa's question.

ugh, she didn't even answered a simple question, lisa complained in her mind while she rolled her eyes. maybe being a third wheel is better than being with your crush in a supermarket without anything to talk about.
lisa was too busy with her thoughts that she didn't noticed jennie's movements halting. so they bumped onto each other. "ow!" lisa whined while jennie hissed. "look at where you're going!"
"sorry" lisa mumbled while scratching her head.
they both fixed themselves and continued on. lisa went back to her thoughts while jennie did who-knows-what.
lisa stopped her thoughts when she saw jennie leaving. she didn't even bothered to tell me she was done.
"what did you bought?" lisa asked as she checked what jennie was holding.
"milk-flavored ice cream?!" lisa exclaimed.
"yes" jennie simply replied.
"that's all you're gonna buy?!" lisa asked again. jennie didn't answer, she just showed her gummy smile.
"unbelievable. we went here just for that?!" lalisa's jaw dropped. "don't tell me we went here just for that."
"uh i'm not telling, i'm showing." lisa almost exploded
they made their way to the counter and paid. once they exited, jennie's smile on her face never left, her eyes glistening when she looks at the ice cream she bought.
'i would love to be the ice cream right now.'
jennie just noticed lisa's mood when they were already out of the supermarket. jennie tapped lisa's shoulder and lisa instantly turned to jennie's direction, still showing her straight-face. "what's wrong?" jennie asked, trying not to sound concerned. lisa just rolled her eyes and looked away.
"hey, what's wrong? did i do something? hey, tell me." jennie whined. lisa scoffed.
"you could've told me we were just going to a supermarket." jennie sighed.

okay, it wasn't a big deal. lisa just wanted to get mad at jennie for actually being so adorable.
"i was happily going out by myself until you showed up." jennie said, her anger rising.
and she has the guts to get mad now huh, jennie said in her mind.
"you still could've told me where you were going."
"you asked me if you could join me, and as a kind person i am, i agreed. i didn't know you hated being in the supermarket." jennie retorted.
kind person psh. i don't hate being on the supermarket." lisa scoffed as she made an air-quote on the word hate. "i just didn't like the fact that we went here just for an ice cream when we could've gotten into a much better place." lisa explained.
"i didn't planned buying with you in the first place. you just happened to come at the time i was leaving and you looked lonely so i agreed." jennie replied.
"well..."
"well...?"
"well what should we do now?"
"well what do you want to do?"
"well whatever you want to do."
then they just broke out into fits of laughters. they just fought about a supermarket for goodness' sake! it was a very little thing to fight about. and now, they're laughing at they're own silliness.
"i just can't believe i fought with jennie kim." lisa exclaimed, still laughing.
"and its just because of a supermarket." jennie replied, her gummy smile showing.
"let's go back now. the ice cream might melt."
—•—
"so that's your plan? netflix all day?"
"netflix and chill. yep, that's my plan." jennie said as she sat comfortably on the couch, holding the bucket of milk-flavored ice cream in her hands.
"i thought we were doing something else." lisa whined as she sat beside jennie.
"ugh, you told me we could do anything i want. and besides, it's nighttime. it's the best thing to do at night." jennie said.
"well i thought it was something exciting."
"well for me, netflix is exciting."
"but–"
"lisa stop. the show's starting." jennie shushed lisa and the other girl has no choice but to obey.
"can i get the other bucket of ice cream?" lisa asked and jennie nodded, her attention on the television.
lisa stood up and took the bucket of ice cream, practically shoved the ice cream inside her mouth as she sighed. she missed watching disney movies. maybe after jennie watches she can watch too.
she happily entered the living room, only to meet a tired sleeping jennie. her head was tilted on the side, the ice cream forgotten, and a netflix show still rolling on the television.
lisa smiled at the sight. "cute,"
she took the ice cream out from jennie's hands and laid jennie on the couch. even her sleeping figure is amazing.
then took her phone out and took a picture of jennie silently, cautious that the older girl might wake up. she giggled quietly as she looked at the pictures, admiring her cuteness.
"goodnight jen."

The Blight
Ten years ago, the Blight appeared. A beautiful forest, where the leaves and animals glowed brilliantly at night. It became a wonder of the entire world, and people began venturing from across the continent to visit it. No one took it any more seriously than that, not in the beginning. Then the disappearances started. At first, it was just farm animals and pets. Then, hunters and travelers close to dusk. By the time children started disappearing from villages, it was too late to do anything. The Blight was spreading, from tree to tree like a sickness, crawling out in all directions. The animals and beasts inside it changed as well. They grew larger, stronger, and more ferocious than anything seen before. Simple farm animals became horrific monsters, distorted to disgusting proportions and violently spreading chaos out from the forest. When the first reports came in of infected animals dragging people alive off into the forest... then the real panic began. Towns fell to the Blight, then cities. Armies were sent to push it back, and were overrun. Heroes and legends ventured out, to no avail. Soon, it was public knowledge to all: Those who entered the forest, never returned. ...So what happens when a young boy comes out of the forest, carrying nothing but a dagger and remembering nothing but his own name?
