"Derek got food for Elle, he actually just left before you got here" JJ explained.
"That's good, maybe she'll finally eat something, those meds aren't making her feel well" Emily replied, sitting next to JJ.
"How is she, has she felt any better since the surgery?" Garcia asked, filled with Worry.
"Who's Elle?" Jessica asked with confusion.
"She's our daughter, she just had surgery last week so things have been pretty hectic" Emily explained and a small sip of JJ'S drink.
"No Garcia, if anything she's gotten way worse, her pain it's excruciating and there is nothing we can do" JJ replied sadly and took her drink back from Emily.
"I'm so sorry, if you need anything please call, even if you need me to take Henry or anything" Garcia volunteered once again leaving Hess confused.
"Henry?" She asked
"their son, he is the most adorable baby ever, well he's two now but still adorable." Penelope explained.
About an hour and a couple of very strong drinks later, everyone including Rossi was on the dance floor. They were having a great time filled with laughter and fun except for Jess who kept eyeing Emily. The brunette and JJ didn't drink much knowing they had two kids to go home to, so as they both ordered one drink they also drank waters or so day.
"JJ we should get going" Emily said and the blonde took her wife's hand as they walked over to Penelope who was dancing with Jess.
"Hey PG, we're going to go" Emily said over the loud crowd. As they walked out Emily kissed JJ and pulled her close until they reached their car.
The couple made their way home and as soon as they walked in they saw Elle standing with the help of Derek but it was without the crutches so it was a start.

"Oh love" Emily exclaimed and JJ melted into her wife with happiness as they watched their daughter. A knock came from the front door and Emily went over to answer it, there she saw Brayden.
"Hey Brayden, it's late, what's up?" Emily asked and JJ met her at the front door.
"Hi Mrs. Prentiss, can I talk to you?" He asked and Emily let him in. Brayden wanted to talk in private so Derek stayed with Elle and JJ went with Emily.
"So what's going on?" Emily asked and Brayden pulled out an envelope from his pocket and handed it to Emily.
"This was delivered to my house today," Brayden said. In the envelope was a picture of Elle in the hospital and a note that read "I'm back for your Babie"
"Brayden, who knows that you're here?" Emily asked.
"Just my mom" He replied
"Okay text her and tell her that you're staying the night. JJ, I need to talk to you"Emily replied and Brayden left the room, going back to the living room.
"Emily what's going on?" JJ asked worriedly.
"My job wasn't the only reason that I had my mother take Eliana, when she was about one someone took her, we never found out who but my mother soon found out she had a stalker. I didn't tell you before because when she moved back it had stopped for about two years." Emily explained.
"Emily why didn't you tell me this?" JJ asked madly.
"Because I thought it was over, I thought telling you would be fatal, and after everything I couldn't lose you too" Emily explained and JJ understood.
"Why is baby spelt wrong?" JJ asked
"because it's a name. John Babie that's Elle's father" Emily said and JJ and her locked eyes.
(Sorry this one is so short I've been busy)

Dark Matter
In the year 2023, scientists investigating the nature of dark matter caused a blackout throughout the entire world of Coranth. With this blackout came the appearance of supernatural and near-magical elemental abilities able to be wielded by all. By harnessing the dark matter in the environment, even ordinary humans now accessed powers that would have been deemed fantasy. These abilities include Wind, Fire, Lightning, Water, and Terra, being the five natural elements of which dark matter is absorbed by the planet itself. Additionally, the two moons orbiting Coranth offer the "Superior" elements of Dark and Light. The year is now 2041, and Dark Matter will follow the story of an adolescent boy named Raiden Sullivan in a dystopian future, 16 years old, eldest of 2, and son to Marcus Sullivan. Raiden is an intelligent young man belonging to a poor family with an absentee mother. He partakes in daily chores to cover living expenses after school and his home life is surrounded by his caring father and younger sister. In truth, this is my take on urban fantasy with slight LitRPG that keeps the "magic" elements somewhat scientific for a more realistic story. In using the dark matter surrounding our universe, humans can now harness elemental abilities as well as absorb dark matter from the beasts/monsters to further strengthen their abilities. For the most part, that'll be the main premise of the power system. Full transparency, this will be the first story I write and also the first story I publish, so please be patient with me. For some context, I'm an avid reader and after 4 or so years of only consuming, I feel that it might be time to try my hand at writing instead. Please feel free to add your opinions and criticism, it would be much appreciated. With that said, I hope you enjoy Dark Matter!

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
