《How to Write a Warriors Fan-Fiction | Warrior Cats Guide》Design/Appearance Part 2

You guys sure put up a fight. You know that? Look what you've made me do!

I've had it with people strolling over to the Design section just to argue with me, so I'm going to clear things up.

Colors

When I say no purple, I mean no purple. I don't want to see a cat the color of a morning glory.

When I say no blue, I mean no blue. I don't want a cat the color of the sky or the ocean.

When I say no red, I mean I don't want to see a cat the color of a cherry or strawberry.

When I say no gold, that means that I don't want to see a cat the color of a gold ingot.

Shall I go on?

Russian blues are gray with a hint of blue. Abyssinians and Somali cats are a sienna/brown/orange with a hint of red. Some coats may appear lilac. Gold is often used to describe gingers, and that's fine!

Some other really rare colors are:

•Chocolate

•Cinnamon

•Fawn

•Lilac

•Chinchilla

These are typically purebred.

Something interesting with brown is actual brown is rare. Solid chocolate is what you'll get if you're looking for a 100% brown cat, and that's ONLY purebred. Most brown cats are more of a gray/brown mix with tabby stripes.

Patterns

Another thing you guys struggle with is patterns and my obsession with purebreds.

There are countless patterns and countless combinations. Many patterns are typically spotted on only purebreds, but to soothe your fraying nerves...YES, THEY CAN APPEAR ON MIXED BREEDS AND DOMESTIC SHORTHAIRS! It's just uncommon. Take it from a person who has volunteered in a cat shelter for two straight years before the virus.

Swirling stripes are typically purebred, but they have often appeared on your typical domestic kitties, too.

It depends on the spot. Spotted tabbies are very common. However, there are rosettes and clouded leopard spots, too, that are almost always on purebred exotic cats.

Also, solid white stripes on a tabby do not exist. There is a very rare gene that allows tortoiseshells to have weird ones, though. Also, no stripes on solid white cats! Feel better yet?

Muscles

I don't want to see a cat with six-pack abs and biceps the size of bowling balls. However, there are cats with more subtle muscles. Large breeds, such as maine coons, and exotics like bengals can be bulky from muscles.

Eyes

Google it, guys. Purple and violet eyes are non-existent, except in albino cats. However, blue eyes can appear so in certain lighting.

Bluish eyes on non-purebreds exist. Not cobalt or cerulean, but tinges are real. They are sometimes seen on green eyes.

One more thing: solid white cats with blue eyes are usually blind and/or deaf. There are occasional exceptions, though.

In short, you can find loopholes and exceptions for literally anything, including cat genetics. If you must know, search the internet.
