Still in my trance, I wondered what is that making me incline with so much doubt towards her. "Oh My God, officer! I can't believe that my first catering contract will have such good responses! Also there are so many cute guys here!!" The squeal painfully brought me back to reality. I turned to her and just a single glare made her to change the reaction.

I once again turned back to the woman, but she had disappeared! My eyes wandered here and there. "What are you searching? You seemed to be tensed..." her voice again disturbed me. "Huh?" I asked her absent minded. "What are you so worried about officer? I have so many problems right now!" She urged me to rush back to reality.

"Ippo enna dhaan ma un prechana?(What is your problem now?) " I asked with vexation. "Veetla Nethra is sick (Nethra is sick at home). I haven't had food yet. And there are so many cute guys out here that I don't know who to date? And you don't even seem to be at a party!" She ranted on. "Is all this even a problem?" I asked her in disbelief. "Illaya pinna?(Aren't they?) We'll do a thing! We'll go eat, and as we eat you help me to pick a guy. And then after getting his number we'll leave. What say?" She asked me with bubbling excitement. I imaginarily face-palmed myself, and agreed with a fake enthusiastic smile.

We went and took two plates and stuffed it with everything that was present on the buffet. As the food was going in my presence, my mind was going out . The last time I was a part of this type of party was during my college days and it took me to Dhruv, Me and Ani. All our memories, especially Dhruv, came back to me. His words, his dreams, our craziness , his support and more than anything the classic moments we had as friends. My face fell again. I was brought back to this world with a light pat. I looked at her raising an eyebrow .

"Is this bermuda triangle? Because you get lost every single time and I don't know where and how" She cried sarcastically. She didn't wait for my reaction. "Remember you need to help me pick a date, so focus, officer!" She ordered.

"Yeahh... right." I muttered with 100% disinterest. I looked up with a hunting gaze. "Dude... What are you searching there? That's Aunty's zone, search this way." She said pointing at a side.

At the end of her finger stood a huge group of men. "Let's see " I said in a deep tone sharpening my keen gaze. I showed her a few men but they all got rejected showing out silly reasons . "The one I find now will end it all " I said frustrated. I searched for a good few minutes and then smirked . "How about him?" I said showing her the guy. She widened her gaze. I let out a victory grin.

"Wow officer, you have good taste in men too.... not bad!" She complimented and patted my chest with the back of her hand, which after seconds dawned that she had teased me simultaneously. "But why do I have a déjà vu?" Her eyes furrowed perplexingly.

"Déjà vu? This guy?" I asked her. "Yeah.... I've seen him before..... but I've not spoke to him...." she was now all to herself, trying to remember how she knew the guy. "Yeah yeah yeah yeah! I got it! I got it!" She squealed in victory. "Where and how?"

"Ha ha ha... I've spotted this really cute guy, with Dhruv and Nethra once, and when I approached Nethra to get his number, she warned me not to even think about him!" She was drowned in her memories, occasionally chuckling. "Nethra warned you?" Now that instilled curiosity. "Yeah... that guy was their guide in Zurich back then.... but all of a sudden, they didn't get to meet them at all. And I didn't get to see him at all" Her voice slowly dropped down. Probably the questions I asked her and the answers she gave, are slowly sowing the seeds of suspicion in her too.

"Why So? What's his name...?" I slowly nudged her. "It's some goddamn Balakrishnan....some... umm... Arun Balakrishnan maybe?" She looked at me, all innocent of the thoughts rampaging in my mind. But the name really did stop my heart. I wanted to be sure of the information. "Are you sure that's his name?" I asked her again. And once again she started thinking something.

"Yeah yeah....it's Arun" She said with a tone filled with no emotions, whereas all the volcanos in Fiji were bursting inside me. What the !!! Is he that same bastard Arun? He is the reason Dhruv is inside that hell. I looked at Aditi she was still submerged in the cuteness and apparently in minutes, she'll start swearing him to death. "Hey can you get me his number" I said gaining her attention. She nodded and as I was watching them. "Oh My God! Colonel!?" She was shocked, and I didn't know what it was for. "You need his number?" Her eyes crooked with disgust. Why... "Oh My God! Aditi! Can you ever think straight? I too feel familiar with that guy and that's why I need his number. Can you get that?" I burst out immediately when I understood what her dirty look meant. "Alright I'll get it for you and me." She clapped her hands excitedly. "Only for me, because you're not going to date him." I crossed my arms across my chest. "Excuse me!" Her high tone pitched in and she was certainly because everybody denying her to date him. "You get his number and I tell you why." I said and chucked her off to get his number.

My eyes were fixed on Arun the whole party. I think he is drunk because we almost got caught two times but he didn't notice. He didn't even suspect Aditi who was there all lovey dovey to get his number. Finally he spilled it! He gave her his number .

I was on cloud nine . Then suddenly he got a call and it somehow brought a serious look on his face. He excused himself from Aditi and moved out of the crowd and towards the parking lot. So this one is important. I rushed ourselves to the parking lot, and she was completely unaware how evil her cute guy is. We waited for him secretly. We watched every car, until his came out. He was driving and then picked a lady near the gate. He hugged her and then made her sit in. We followed it slyly and after what felt like eternity! We got a chance to look at them little closely.

Holy shit! My eyes widened so much, that you might be able to see only my eyes on the face. It was Anamika Vaidyanath. What is she doing with him ?

We had them until a train junction acted in their favour . We missed them there. But however we have the car number and his number.

"Crap... we missed him... how am I to surprise him at his door tomorrow?" Aditi wailed from behind. I turned to her, "What?" I shrieked in confusion. "Yeah... you wanted to get his address, because you can help me surprise him for tomorrow's date? Right!" Her eyes gleamed as though she was the six year who spotted a new crayon box and a picture book.

"When I told you, you shouldn't date him, why would I get his address for you?" I asked her. "Then why did you follow him up to here? Huh? Why shouldn't I date him? If I'm not dating why should I get the number? Just why? Why? Why? Why? There are just so many why's!?" She was growing hyper and got down the bike and stood in front of me as she spoke. I guess it's time to open up.

"That guy..."

"Cute guy..." she tried to correct, which is so not correct.

"No... a guy.... that guy is the one who tipped the police with the wrong information, and the reason why Dhruv is in jail." As short as that, the whole controversy was explained. It was just plain silence, and terror reigning all over Aditi's face. She couldn't help but to keep blinking at the metro track. "Are you serious?" Her voice was certainly low and her eyes shimmered with tears.

I nodded. "My God! Was I talking all lovey-dovey-dirty to the guy who put my friend's lover behind the bars?" Her voice was now getting all squeaky. "Oh My God, I'm so terrible!" She interjected, covering her mouth with her palms. "No... you're not terrible. You were just helping us in getting the number, and see... we because of you we got his car number too! You didn't make him suspect!" I tried convincing her, although the last one, didn't quite have any logic since she was completely unaware and was natural to him. She now smiled. A broad one indeed.

"Yeah Right! Do you think I am now capable of being some double agent thing? Like you know.... getting bad boys spill the beans and then arrest them with the police...." and that's exactly why I never be good to any one, I better be grumpy hereafter.

Now you have entered the dragon's den, Arun, who knows when you're going to burn in my fire breath! Let's start the game !!!
