《KiyoKei fanfic (discontinued)》Chapter Nine

That looming sense of doom, of everything falling apart right before your very eyes. This is now the second time I have felt it at this school.
At first, it was during my time as a student, but now, it's as a teacher.
"So Chabashira-sensei, it seems that I have been exposed by you and Mashima-sensei." (Tsukishiro)
"I don't know what you are speaking of." (Sae)
But I made a mistake at that point. I let my emotions get the better of me and the doubt I had leaked into my voice. There is no way he would believe an obvious lie such as that.
"Oh, is that so? Well that's good then, as I wouldn't want to have you get fired." (Tsukishiro)
"Is there possibly something you are hiding that would lead to my leaving?" (Sae)
"Not at all, but if you were to, say, betray me in something then I would not hesitate to eliminate you from the picture" (Tsukishiro)
"Of course." (Sae)
Did I really get away with that? No way, he's far sharper than that considering he is trying to expel Ayanokouji. So why did he act ignorant? What is his goal? And
What will happen to me?
Well damn, I would have thought that sensei would have noticed him entering and stop talking, but it looks like I overestimated her. She was too focused on me. It's no issue though, I've already made thorough preparations and that slight miscalculation won't hinder anything.
After my talk with Chabashira-sensei, I had decided to hold an indoor date with Kei. I had to make up everything that upset her during our last one at the mall so I decided to do it where we wouldn't get caught. Or so I thought. It turns out that the devil's right hand had decided to come. Her name was Amasawa Ichika. While Kei and I were about to kiss, she knocked on the door which surprised Kei. I went to get it and saw Amasawa there with a devilish smile on her face.

The Stolen Shield
Raine just wanted some money. All he needed was enough to get his business rolling. But when he agreed to take a much-needed job from his college friend Levin, he hadn’t expected to get stabbed, shot, and chased at midnight in L.A. with a drunk girl in the back seat of his car. And he hadn’t planned on joining a strange organization based in another world, thanks to which he flies off to a private island to suffer weeks of grueling training and endure intensive foreign language study the likes of which he hasn’t experienced since high school. His friends sold the other world to him as a land of hope and second chances, a simple but beautiful place where he could put his many failings behind him and get a new start. Ignorant, trusting, and naive, he believed them. But they lied. Please note that the story has a slow start (practically all of my readers say this).

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
