《Writers Digest {A Writing Guide}》Chapter Four ~ Every Idea Counts!!

When you think of story what word do you think of..you're right, plot! [Or at least that's what I think].

So when you think of plot, tons of ideas swarm around your head, but you only think one or two is worth writing, WRONG!

EVERY IDEA COUNTS!

Everyone has that time where they think of a amazing plot idea, write a couple sentences, and then trash it. Well it's time to stop doing that. Your trash can {or recycle bin} is getting sick of eating paper!!

Next time when you think of a plot idea, write it down, so then you can keep track of all your plots. Then if you don't like the plot anymore, still keep it there, because some day in the future, you might want to use that plot again!

One way to keep this going is to designate a folder for all of your ideas/newly started stories. You came name it whatever you like and then you can put all your ideas and stories inside of it.

I myself have tryed it and I know have a lifetime supply of plots :D

And just because I'm very nice, *strikes pose*, I will throw in an extra bonus part at the end of this tour, sharing the tips that I use, IF, you comment below telling me that you actually did try this.

It doesn't hurt to try you know (;
