《Only A Kiss || TinCan》Chapter 09: He's annoying.

_______________
Today is the last day.
It is early, way too early but there are still students hanging around the forest and in the central courtyard, as most of them don't want to waste what little time is left of this short trip.
I secretly and nimbly sneak between the walls of the huts, squinting, trying to look around me.
I don't see him. Good.
I'm about to come out of my hiding place when a hand touches my shoulder that made me fall to the ground in fear.
"Can, what you are doing?"
It's only Lemon, I breathed calmly.
"You almost killed me with a heart attack!" I tell her as she looks at me with an even more confused face.
"Why are you here? Who are you spying on?"
"I'm not spying on anyone, I came to look for Ai'Pete." I answered as I get up.
My fall got my elbows scraped and my shirt has more dirtier on the back.
Just great.
"And why are you so dirty?"
What happened to this woman and since when does she questions me this much?
"I ran out of clean clothes..." I say, almost muttering.
Lemon sighs, almost resigned.
Well, it's not my fault! I didn't brought many clothes and I didn't know I was going to mess up all the clothes I had brought, just to my luck.
"Ahhh...what am I going to do with you?" She says in a way that is too exaggerated for me, it's not like I don't have a plan.
"That's why I came to look for Ai'Pete, he has some of my clothes in his cabin." I answer in my defense.
"Then, why don't you just knock on his door?" She answers and I see how she goes towards their cabin so I quickly stop her taking her by the arm.
"Wait!!"
"Hey!"
"You can't go!" I tell her while pulling her again towards my hiding place.
"He could be there..."
"He?"
Yes, HE...I can't even say his name because saying it made me feel something strange inside me.
"Yes...Pete's annoying friend." I say, trying to say his name furiously but I can't because somehow, it won't come out.
"You mean the handsome boy who helped you the other day?" She says and I can even see a huge smile forming on her face.
"Handsome?"...are we talking about the same person?
"He is annoying." I answered uncomfortably.
Lemon's smile widens, what is her problem? Did she not understood what I said?
"You have not denied that he is handsome." She replied with a very peculiar tone that made me narrow my eyes because I think I understand where she is pointing to.
"That's not the point! If he sees me he will surely bother me..." I say and start to puff my cheeks while my sister crosses her arms.
"How could someone who has helped you so much bother you?"
That's a good question but she wouldn't understand, I don't think anyone would actually.

"He..."
Don't tell her Can...
"He, what...?" Lemon looks at me expectantly and I swallowed with difficulty.
Do not say it...
"He..."
"What is it Can?"
"He stole something from me."
That...technically is not a lie.
"He stole from you? What did he steal from you?" She seems even more confused because of my answer.
"No matter what he stole from me, he stole from me, period!" I said firmly.
Lemon approaches me, narrowed her eyes as if trying to read my thoughts, her hand is in her chin and made a gesture like she's thinking.
I can't help but get nervous, she's always been good at these kind of things.
"Hmmm..." She says and after a while, which I consider long, she looks as if her realization is convincing enough in some way but not completely.
"Eh? Where to?" I say when she quickly took my arm, almost dragging me.
"To your friend, Pete's cabin. Didn't you say you wanted your clothes? Well let's go!" She answers with confidence while I try to force her to let go but it was to no avail because I am still dragged by her.
How is this possible?
"No! You don't have to go!"
"Of course I have to go! If someone is bothering you, I have to be there to help you."
What confuses me is that her tone is not angry, she is really planning something, I was so worried about hiding from Tin that I forgot I had the biggest demon near me, my own sister.
"What is their cabin?"
"I won't tell you!"
"There he is!"
My body tenses as I look towards their cabin. Pete is coming out of the door and thankfully, he's alone. Lemon zooms in with me, almost dragging me across the floor and I try my best to compose myself when I'm close enough to Pete.
I'll just take my clothes and go...
"Hi..." Pete says when he sees us.
"Hi Pete, I..."
"Hi, I'm Lemon, this fool's sister." My sister says and my eyes widen when I see how she extends her hand to shake Pete's, who in return, takes it and greets her warmly.
"I came to get my clothes." I say out loud before my sister does something much weirder than what she is doing now.
Pete looks at me thoughtfully for a few seconds until he seems to remember it. "Oh that's right, your clothes are still here. Come in, please."
"No, it's okay, I can wait here." I say with my voice low but still loud enough to be heard.
Damn, he could be in there...this is not good, definitely not good.
"If someone says "Come in" you pass." Lemon says as she pushes me inside the cabin.
Why did she have to inherit that superhuman strength?
"What are you doing?" I mumbled to my sister.
"I'm just doing my duty." She answers seriously.
"Your duty? What duty?"
"My duty as a fujoshi."

Why can't I have a normal sister?
I look around the cabin, nothing, Tin seems not to be there, there are not even noises in the distance, and I feel my body relaxing.
However, it is also as if my insides is feeling somewhat empty and disappointed.
Pete seems to be searching all over the cabin, scratching his head. "Hmm...where did he leave it?"
"No problem, I can come back later." I say, trying to step back, until I collide with my sister and her murderous look.
"You don't have any clean clothes. "Come back later" is not part of the option." Lemon says in a chilling way and then change her tone to one that is too sweet and fake. "We will help you find them P'Pete."
Great. Just great.
The first time I was here, I did not exactly walked around place, but now that I looked closely,, it really is big, too much for just two people but I guess they can afford it so...why not?
When I enter a room, I quickly realize that it is his room, everything is arranged almost symmetrically, and it does not have many details just a desk, a bed, his shoes, a closet and my clothes...MY CLOTHES!
I bent over his bed and went over to take it, it's clean and it really smells very good...it smells like him, this is his scent.
I am ashamed to admit that I recognize his scent but when he kissed me, I could smell his vanilla smell, very sweet, too sweet for someone with that kind of attitude...
"Can..." Someone whisper from behind me.
"I wasn't smelling this!"
"What are you hiding?!"
"Nothing." I answer but my eyes go to the ground automatically.
"Do not lie to me! It is impossible that Tin has stolen anything from you, this cabin is worth more than your life. Speak, now." Lemon says demandingly.
"I'm not lying!" I scream but I realize that I speak too loud and it could reach Pete's ears.
"He..." I say, lower, almost whispering, "He kissed me..."
"What?" Asked my sister withoutas if not understanding, seems like she have not heard me.
"He kissed me..." I repeated, slightly louder.
"Huh?"
I went closer to her and muttered again, "He kissed me."
"HE KISSED YOU?!" She screams, thankfully, I managed to cover her mouth before she screams louder out more than she should.
"Lemon, sshh!"
When it seems that her first shock attack already passes, I removed my hand from her mouth only to see a big smile on her face.
"I knew it..." She says with a special sparkle in her eyes, "...Your first kiss, I can't believe it...and with that handsome boy..."
Hell, don't tell me she knew it was my first kiss? Is it so too obvious?
"It's not my first kiss! It is already the fourth...I have kissed other people before..." My sister's smile is instantly erased and is made in to a a fine line with her eyebrow raised.
"And he is not so handsome...he is annoying..."
"How can you be so cruel to him?" Lemon says with her arms crossed.
"He stole my first kiss!"
"That is not an excuse!"
"Yes it is, because then he took the others and..."
I should have just shut up, yeah...
I see her eyes became bright and dreamy again, her mind must have gone the other way again...I already lost her.
I wave my hand in front of her, nothing.
I take her shoulders and shake her, nothing.
"Lemon!" My loud voice seems to have an effect on her because her smile fades and she seems annoyed that I pulled her out of her fantasy.
"Listen, this doesn't change anything...he's still annoying."
"Can..."
"Remember, no matter how many times he has kissed me, he always looks for a way to annoy me, to make me feel strange...Tin is most of the times cruel and sometimes is kind which, confuses me, to be honest, then he wants to kiss me all the time and..."
"Can don't be so stupid, even if you haven't realized yet that you like him..."
"Tin!" I hear his name being said from the living room and feel my breath stop for a few seconds.
Devils! Devils! Devils! Tin is here and all I know is that he won't like it all to know that I'm here in his room.
***
"Tin!" Pete says as soon as he sees me enter.
I look around and almost everything is messy, I raise an eyebrow at him and all this mess.
"What is this?" I ask Pete angrily, he knows I don't like disorder at all.
"I'm sorry for the mess..." He says while shrugging and lowering his head, "...I was looking for Can's clothes, but I can't find them anywhere."
His answer catches my curiosity.
"His clothes?"
"He and his sister are helping me look for them." He answers and that's all I need to stop listening to him and head towards to search for a certain boy.
When I get to the corridor that leads to my room, I hear noises coming from it.
I walk in and a woman is looking out the window, which is open. She turns around when she notices my presence, she's the same girl from the other day, Can's sister, but where is Can?
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" She says when she feels that she has invaded my personal space, I observe her without understanding the situation very well until I approach the window and then I see it, that idiot fled by jumping out of the window and run at full speed through field.
He runs away from me and he does it pretty quickly, I can't help but laugh inside but also a bit down because of it.
Run all you want Can because in the end, I will end up catching you and when I do, I will make sure you will never escape from me again.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
