It was nice weather the next day and the two residential cares were having a barbecue outside to celebrate Teen's birthday. The kids were outside playing with kites and balloons while the elderly were dancing with couples.

Tin went to sit down next to Can after having a dance with one older lady.

Can - (judging the happy face in everyone's faces) okay, this is worth rejecting my date.

Tin says nothing and hid his shy face. Can asked him out on a date yesterday, but Tin rejected because of Teen's birthday.

Can - Eh? (Caught a glance) Tin, I saw that face.

Tin - you saw nothing.

Can - Tin. (Grabbed hold of Tin's hand and Tin turned to look at him.) But next time, you cannot reject.

The only reaction Tin gave him... was a forced smile. Can's eyes soften and looked at him in concern.

Can - What's wrong?

Then what Kira said to him came banging on his head.

Kira - Wow... you sure are optimistic. I'll be laughing if Tin is actually has a change of heart.

Can's heart race rapidly. He clenched his jaws as his eyes turned sharp.

Can - Tell me.

His voice was angry and demanding.

Tin had no idea why Can suddenly turned so serious. He blinked his eyes in confusion.

Tin - nothing is wrong.

His answer made Can even angrier. Tin could feel his hand gripped tighter by Can.

Can - nothing? Your eyes can't lie to me, Tin. If you are having trouble, you tell me. Don't just keep it all in and push me away like that. Is it about Kira? What is bothering you?! Am I bothering you?!

Tin quickly placed his other hand on top of Can's hand which was gripping his to calm him down. It did calm Can down a little.

Tin watched him in worry but then he realized that everyone's eyes were on them so he stood up and pulled Can with him. Can was hesitant at first but he finally gave in when Tin heaved him with a little force.

Not so far from the barbecue, Can was dragged to another seating area. Tin scanned the area to see there are no people around, then he turned to look at Can.

Tin - what did Kira said to you? (Can inhaled in resentment and looked away.) Yesterday, when you came back after meeting with him, you start to stare at me weirdly. Like... you're suspicious of me or something.

Can - Do you like Kira?

Tin - no!

Can smiled immediately. He loves the fact that Tin did not hesitate to answer it. He began to nod and tried not to smile too big.

Tin coaked his head and narrowing his eyes.

Tin - was that why you are mad?

Can - No. (Walked closer to Tin.) You haven't answered me. What is bothering you?

Tin - what do you mean?

Can - you know I always wondered why you won't open up to me. It's killing me cuz I couldn't figure it out. I want to know. (Gave him a hurtful eyes)

Tin glanced up at the clouds and plastered a smile on his face. He closed his eyes, give it a moment of silence, and then he gazed back at Can.

Tin - I guess I can't hide anything from you.

Can's eyes followed Tin as Tin sat down on the bench. He quickly sat down also.

Can - Tin.

Tin placed his elbows on his lap and hands clenched together.

Tin - I... I tried, Can.

Can - try what?

Tin - tried not to get you in this mess. I don't want you to get involved... and here again, getting you involved. (Shook his head to himself.)

Can widen his eyes when Tin said the word "again." That word brought back memories from 4 years ago. It still has been haunting Tin from all those years. He still blames himself for being the reason why Can almost drown. And now... getting pertained to Kira's situation is like getting involved with Larry all over again. And this time, it is more dangerous. Kira's father is a Mafia and he has more advantageous.

Can - (scooted closer to Tin.) It's not like you force me. Even if you push me away, I won't. I want to help you, Tin.

Tin - and you're doing a good job. Kira's men couldn't even get near this property. Thank you.

Can - then why?...

His worry voice made Tin turned to him.

Can - why are you not feeling at ease?

Tin - (pause for a few seconds and then...) Promise me, Can. Promise me that you'll only do just that; is protecting the kids.

Can couldn't believe that Tin could already sense the future. Of course, Can is guarding the kids now and he will help Tin more if he could. He just didn't have any idea of what he can do yet and now, Tin is already getting at him to stop dreaming about it.

Can - I promise.

And then, Tin did something Can have been eagerly want it.

He smiled at him.

The same smile he gave to the kids when he was having fun with them. The same smile he gave to the owner of a restaurant when they were still trapped in the island 4 years ago. It's the same peaceful smile that Can have been waiting for Tin to give it to him.

And now... he finally did.

Can leaned forward and gave a small peck on Tin's lips.
